I followed her when she decided to become a business owner and open her own salon. I love coming here because Dashonna is a beautiful person on the inside and outside who happens to also know how to style natural hair beautifully. I love her positive attitude and disposition. This sets her apart from other stylist to me. Sure, she can style hair, but the environment in which she does this is positive and uplifting and infectious. She also does a great job scheduling her clients. I highly recommend Dashonna! I'm grateful to have her in my life as a hair staylist.

It is such a bonus treat that it is not an all day affair when I go to elite hair. They typically have two ladies working on my hair at one time to get me in and out. It is not a salon where you walk in and it is simply fabulous! And I am referring to the look of it. But hey, my hair stylist in Atlanta salon was of somewhat equal standards when it came to this I did not go to Chevella- (in Atlanta)- whom I have gone to for 25 years -for the appearance of her salon. I went for her expertise in cutting, coloring, and styling. When I spoke to Kahndra over the phone to ask her questions prior to meeting her face-to-face, I told her I wanted my Farrah Faucet cut that I got most times with Chevella, and that I wanted it "poofy," Kahndra replied with confidence that this will be no problem. When I arrived -(next day after the phone call) -for my appointment-I was greeted with kindness as if I had been a client for years. I felt comfortable. LOL I felt so comfortable -as I sat under the hair dryer-I helped her fold towels as I sipped on some delish peach wine she poured me. Although, it took Kahndra a bit longer to cut my hair than Chevella, the cut was ....the cut IS extraordinary, just like Chevella. SMH. I never thought I would find a hairdresser who could cut like my beloved Chevella Hill in Atlanta. Especially, one in Chandler Arizonia! LOL My hair is extremely soft and the cut is exactly what I wanted! Soft hair is what everyone should want in dry a@# Arizonia! I noticed her clientele was of various races. I find that this shows her talent ...skills....her gift. From Caucasians to mixed race to Hispanics and more -I'm sure. Anyway, I am rambling. WHAT I GOT DONE. A beautiful cut and a roller set Note: I think the cut took longer because she had to fix the hideous cut from a stylist my daughters like in Georgia

The stylist took the time to walk me through different loc sizes, giving thoughtful feedback to help me make the best choice for my hair and lifestyle. The communication was excellent--I felt informed and confident about my decision before we even started. When it came to the install, the parting was incredibly precise, and I could tell right away that attention to detail was a priority. The products used were high-quality, leaving my scalp squeaky clean and refreshed without feeling stripped or irritated. One of the things I appreciated most was the knowledge shared for aftercare. I left the appointment with clear instructions on how to maintain my locs for the first five weeks, which gave me confidence in caring for them properly. Now, after my first wash, my hair is still well-managed, neat, and looking great. The foundation set during my appointment has really made a difference--I can already see my loc journey starting strong. I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking to start their microlocs with a professional who values precision, healthy hair, and client education. The vibe in the shop is a lot of fun, so time flies!

My sister used to live in Tempe and she had recommended me Kat, "I trust her with my life, she's…read morethe sweetest." We were staying in Scottsdale for a two week girls trip and I reached out to Kat asking when she was available. She responded very quickly and let me know she had an appointment available the 22nd at 10:30. I quickly booked it excited to meet her. She continued to message me on instagram being very thorough and asking me what I had previously done to my hair for the past 5 years, some pictures of my hair now and what I was looking for. Already I was blown away by her professionalism and dedication to knowing exactly what she was working with. I let her know that I had had my hair trimmed and highlighted back in 2023 but hadn't been to a professional since then. I was very naughty and had been using sun bum in my hair this April attempting to achieve a blonde bombshell look. I nailed the bombed look, not the blonde. Kat pointed out she noticed the lighter gold in my hair and was curious where that came from so the sun bum made sense. A couple days before my appointment she let me know that she had an earlier spot open up at 9. I jumped on it and asked if it was ok if my sister could have my old slot. She agreed and again was super thorough about what my sister wanted. The day finally arrived and I was so excited to meet her. The location is very easy to find, parking was open and there was lots of space. As soon as I stepped in I was greeted by Kat with a hug. She caught up a bit with my sister and I mentioned how my phone was dead. She quickly picked up a charger when I embarrassingly had to mention that my charger port was water damaged and I needed a MagSafe charger. A "no worries" was said and within seconds she opened up a cabinet and had a MagSafe charger in hand, ready to go. She's so accommodating and welcoming, just meeting her I felt so safe and relaxed in her hair. I was yapping for three hours straight. I'm pretty sure she got the life stories of all of my family members for the last 9 years. While I was emotionally pouring out my soul, she let me know when I asked about layers that my hair was on the thinner side and how it would be better if I got a bit of layers and some framing. Also that if I wanted to go lighter she would do a bit of lightener and some shadows to balance out and eliminate the ORANGE from my sun bum burnt hair. After everything she did: lightning, highlights, trimming, framing, she was constantly checking in on me if it's what I liked or if I wanted her to do anything differently. When she was done, I had to hold it together and not cry. I have never felt so beautiful and in love with my own hair. She made sure to let me know the after care: no showering for two days, no going in the pool, use color protectant shampoo and don't use purple shampoo until I want it to be more cool toned. I'm so in love with my hair. It feels so healthy, it looks so beautiful. Anyone looking to have their hair be take to the next level and someone who will hear you out and have any AMAZING yap session, I can't recommend Kat enough!!
