I made reservations about 1 month in advance for a full balayage. They will text you for the appointment details and confirmation. I do not think they have a main telephone line at the Ton Vangard salon. You must make appointments because they do not accept walk-ins. Parking can be a hassle in this area, so I'd park in the back. Ask the front desk if you have no idea what this means. DO GET YOURSELF A CUP OR TWO OF THE LAVAZZA CAPPUCCINO. It's complimentary and delicious!! I arrived early prior to my appointment time, and Isabella greeted me at the door. She's super friendly and took a long time on my hair. Some bottom strands of my hair were slightly blue though, which was not what I expected at all. She said the color will fade away after several days. Communication is horrible. I contacted both Isabella and Ton Vangard on Instagram, and I have never heard from them. Also, this place is very pricey!! They even charged for a mini cut ($50 or so if I remember correctly), and some salons include this in their color treatment with styling. They recommend Zelle payments, especially tips because you cannot add the tip onto the main payment. Was it worth it though? No. I didn't LOVE my new hair for the total price.

Well, the party is over and my hair is ripping out at the follicle. The application looked great but was technically wrong. The sections were not precise, inconsistent and too much hair in the tape in. The owner tried to work magic and I thought she nailed it. BUT now I have bald spots and she had her employee last week fix some that were falling out in less than a month. She put them so close to my hairline and scalp that it ripped out my hair again. I am a stylist and have owned several salons etc and would have made a point to fix a client's hair that was being ripped out. Nope. Then she offered clip ins and I have a stylist who was going to "rework" them with a darker shade. Then she won't give me those. I'm supposed to be interviewing for several luxury brands and can't with the condition of my hair/scalp. Needless to say I have retained an attorney to handle my experience here. It's really unfortunate but I wanted the owner who DID MY HAIR a to fix it NOT a stylist who ripped out this chunk of hair. There are 3 other bald spots that will probably never grow back.

This was the correction. Dark dye sporadically added back to my scalp.

I normally dont write reviews but after multiple negative experiences, that I feel compelled to warn others. Please read this in it's entirety. I previously went to this salon from 2021-2022 and I was very happy. Unfortunately, the stylist I saw passed away. When I met my new stylist I showed the photo of the previous stylist's work. I requested baby lights with a shadow root and extensions. I was then capped, not highlighted, and all of root was removed. When I complained, I was told a "smudge root" would be added to correct the problem. When I returned, dark dye was sporadically placed over my scalp, essentially adding the roots that I had paid 200.00 to correct. On top of this my extensions were never removed and then damaged in the process. The owner then agreed to replace the hair at the next appointment. This was not honored, rather the hair was "flipped towards the bottom so no one would see it." Stupidly, I returned to the salon thinking that the mistakes would be corrected. Again, I showed several photos and requested a shadow root with baby highlights, and my extensions to be toned. I was then capped and told new extensions would be applied because they didn't need to be toned. The final result was the same as before. No shadow root, no dimension, and extensions that do not match. The extensions were not even the same in length. Insult to injury, when asked for a refund I was told that I would receive 50.00 back from 500.00 I had spent. When I contested I was told to leave and that the police would be called. If you read other reviews, you will also see similar experiences where the owner refuses to return money and communicate. Please learn from my mistakes. My experience with this salon has been profit over customers. Kindness and patience is seen as an opportunity for financial gain. I hope none of you experience the shame and embarrassment of looking like a real life Daenerys Targaryen in your lifetime.

Outstanding service and great attitude. We had a party of six going for shampoo and updos. Of the six, only two had reservations. The salon was welcoming, gracious and unbelievably accommodating in helping all of us. We all had different requirements ranging from hair straightening, regular blow dry, to complicated up-dos and make-up. If we lived in the area, there is no question we would visit regularly. This is as good as it gets. Just wonderful service orientation. Particular shout-outs for Amy, Jessica, Lacey and Irene for their extraordinary customer service!

This is my second time going to Ton Vangard and I absolutely loved it. My stylist this time was Lindsey. It's been quite some time since I've cut my hair and to be honest I was a little worried since the last time I cut my hair a hair stylist (from another salon) cut my hair way too short. Lindsey was not just a pleasure to talk to but she was also very knowledgeable about hair. She analyzed my hair texture and gave me tips and tricks on how to use products efficiently to suit my hair texture. Another thing that I loved about Lindsey was that she did a dry haircut. Previous I've only gotten wet haircuts but I loved that she did a dry haircut since it allows her to be more precise with my cut. She was also very detail oriented. Even when she was finished if she saw something that needed to be fixed, she would fix it immediately. Another 5 stars to Ton Vangard from me! Definitely my go-to from now on!

I am the pickiest person ON EARTH when it comes to my hair and the subject of allowing anyone to touch my hair gave me the cold sweats. Ive had so many bad experiences to just walk into any salon comfortably. FEAR NO MORE !!! If there were hair angles on earth, then IM 100% positive you will find them at Ton Vangard. Seriously, I came to Stephen with VERY LONG dull hair and i told him i wanted a changed and put my faith in his hands. NOT ONLY did he deliver, he had me excited for my next appointment. He did exactly what I asked for with his magical hands. So when your driving down the street and you see that girl holding traffic taking selfies of her FABULOUS HAIR ... that would be me.... GUILTY! He gave me a beautiful hair cut and put some sass into my hair with a just a subtle hint of purple I really wanted. He is wonderful. The entire staff is absolutely wonderful with an amazing enviroment. I love their products and I LOVE Stephen service. The thing is, #1 he LISTENS (key word) and #2 he's very talented and knows exactly what he's doing. Honestly people ... your reading this because you need that push.. IM PUSHING go go go! I spoke with the owner over text when i sent her pictures of the style i was seeking and she was so amazing helping me not be scared. She was absolutely right! I get SOOOO many compliments on it. This place is awesome worth every single penny. Stephen absolutely cares about all his clients and a good stylist is hard to come by. Ive seen him 2 times now and his work is consistent. I really can't express it enough. This is were the hair angels are ! they will have you feeling fabulous and taking selfies all day too ... watch!

I've been seeing Brittany for over a year to cut and color my hair. I have super thick hair and struggled for a long time finding someone who knew how to cut it properly. Not only is Brittany professional and super sweet, but she takes her time and truly wants to make you love your style! She is so knowledgeable and has great tips and product suggestions. I had a balayage done for my wedding and over a year later my color has barely faded and still looks amazing!! This salon is clean, cute and the staff is friendly. I'd recommend highly to anyone!

If I could give this business no stars I would. One, they use their cell phones because the owner doesn't have a landline, so it is completely unorganized. I had blonde hair. I called up because I found these amazing pictures on Yelp. The owner raved about Jessica since she was a color expert and taught others. I wanted to dye my hair brown with balayage. I literally brought in a million pics ( she wasn't even looking) because she was rushing. I asked for chocolate brown with lighter brown highlights. The walls are black and their is no lighting. So when she blew out my hair, she assured me it's special color and it would get darker. I called the next day but again, they don't have a landline. I had to DM her on Instagram to tell her that is wasn't what I wanted. This time, she had me come in again. I gave her new pics, and I assumed since the balayage was not there and looked like a single, I would ask her to match it to her caramel color ( which is just a toner). She replied how she thought her highlights were orange. Nope. They are caramel. She also asked a bunch of times what different colors were. Like the color of a hair brush. I'm not trying to be rude, but I think she might be color blind. Long story short I paid 420dollars, more than I have ever paid ( I moved here and used to go to Cutler Salon) to this guy Ryan. He does celebrity hair like Hailey Bieber's and charges 330. This color is mortifying and the pic that she promised me with the results she definitely didn't do. It's prob from Pinterest. She has no talent and no reason to charge that much. I tried to be nice and called the owner. She was so mean. I'm not a mean person. It was just a lot of money for nothing. Then a sick girl blew out my hair ( Jessica had the nerve to ask me to pay 45) when I came back to get the *shit show fixed. The girl was coughing all over my hair, and actually got me sick. Since the owner didn't comply, I called my bank. I am mortified. I also have her a 75 dollar tip via venmo. The guy that cut my hair wasn't bad. I'm going to ask for a charge back for that, too. Horrible customer service.

I had another great appointment with Brandon. I can't say enough about this place... everyone there remembers you and effortlessly personalizes your experience. the atmosphere is great, the people are great and your results are great. I started with black hair and Brandon has helped me lighten up my look with his balayage technique. my lighter tones are beautiful and organic. it's a very different look for me coming from dark hair, but Brandon and the rest of the crew at this salon make you so comfortable and I feel confident everytime I leave this place!!! read more

This place is amazing. They got me in with very little notice and did an amazing job with color correction and they had a very professional yet family like atmosphere. I will definitely make this my salon in Fort Lauderdale. Please ask for Jessica she is one of the most talented stylus I've ever come across. read more

Go see Brittany!! She gives me the BEST haircut that stays looking freshly cut for a long time! She is super sweet and very helpful with styling tips and advice on how to keep my hair healthy and growing! I was looking for a place to fix my orange hair. I searched up Ton Vanguard and made an appointment through Yelp. The owner replied immediately and booked me. The staff was very nice and courteous. My hair stylist was Brittany and she did a brief consultation of what I wanted and what I needed. She did a very nice job and I am very happy with my balayage hair color. I live in Orlando but I visit Fort Lauderdale quite often. I went to Ton Vangard because I came across a Groupon for a shampoo, cut, color & blowdry for $99. I'm always hesitant to go for things that seem too good to be true, but my experience with Allison proved to me that you don't have to spend an outrageous amount of $$ to get amazing results! From the moment I walked into the beautiful and vibrant salon, I knew I was going to enjoy my time there. It's edgy and fun, but still luxurious and relaxing. The staff is super friendly and loved my shirt, which definitely made my day! :) Also, not to mention that I called them on a Saturday morning and they were able to fit me in on the same day! That was definitely a deal-breaker for me when I was making the decision of where to go. Allison was such a sweet person and talented artist! She taught me so much in the few hours that I was with her. I told her what I had problems with, what I liked and didn't like and she was able to come up with an amazing solution for my hair. We did a shampoo, cut with long layers, gloss and blowdry. The whole experience was amazing from start to finish! Allison pretty much walked me through every step she took so I was completely involved along the way. That was so important to me because not many people care enough to do that for you. I've been to many different hair salons where the stylist just rushes through everything to get it over and done with. Allison took her time with me and taught me WHY she was doing certain things and HOW they worked/made my hair better. I loved that I was able to ask her questions about my hair and she would give me her true and honest opinion about what works and doesn't work! Allison truly did TRANSFORM my hair and I couldn't have been happier with my results! I couldn't stop running my fingers through my "new" silky, black hair and neither could my boyfriend, lol. I couldn't seem to wipe the smile off my face for even days after I got my hair done. I will definitely be saving my hair for Allison and making the trip down to let her use my hair as a canvas again! :) read more

Nice place super friendly staff.Planned to get a hair cut and balayage ( quoted $365). Left with a nice refreshing haircut only. Its a bit pricey for my taste but great place. I usually get my hair done at Peter of London in kendall(miami) which I consider a pricey but reasonable salon price (haircut /balayage $250.00). This was pricier but other then the cost I thought the salon was nice and the staff was awesome (everyone was super nice! Can't emphasize enough about the staff). read more

TOP NOTCH! Walk in you will be greeted by super modern chic decor and friendly, attentive staff... While you walk to the front and tell them what you want done they sneek up behind you with a warm towel and wrap it around your neck.... I frequent this salon for hair color/cuts/styling. Brandon is the best! I have been following him around for years now and it seems like he finally found a home that we can both agree on! So if you need a new "do" I suggest getting in Brandon's chair... I dont ever go there with a plan -- I just sit and let him work his magic. Getting your hair colored? Youre in luck... while you wait you can enjoy drinks and foot/calf massage... LOVE it! But lets not forget the best part... The shampoo! Oh Jesus... this guy works miracles on my scalp... It really puts you in a trance... Basically from the moment you walk in you are treated like a queen/king and you'll have no reason to look any further for a cut/color/style you can be confident in. read more

What a great experience I had at this salon! From the very beginning, Irene was so nice and extremely helpful. She listened carefully to what I was looking for and made sure to match me with the perfect stylists. Jessica did my color which came out perfectly - I have resistant grays in my otherwise very dark hair - and the coverage was flawless. The products she used also did not burn or irritate my scalp which has happened in the past with other products. I look forward to seeing her again for a bayalage process :) Stephen was my stylist and all I can say is WOW - hands down, best haircut ever!! And trust me, I don't say this lightly. I have very, very thick, coarse, curly hair that is very difficult to deal with and have had more than my fair share of bad haircuts. I have grown accustomed to settling for decent cuts and have learned not to expect to walk out with excatly what I want. That is all in the past now - Stephen is amazing and incredibly talented! He completely understands curly hair like no one I have ever met and how it has to be handled to have a good shape. I could not be happier!! Jessica and Stephen are true professionals that clearly take pride in their craft. So incredibly happy to have found this place! read more

Such great service! I sent a yelp question about a particular service I was looking for. Almost immediately I got a response AND an appointment scheduled. So the first appointment was a consultation trying to decide what I want to do in regards to possible clip in extensions or temporary extensions and I wasn't sure what road I need to go down but Jessica was amazing with explaining all the different options based on goals that I had for my hair. Then I went in about a week later for a service with her and she really takes her time explains everything she's doing has great conversation and make sure you're comfortable the entire time. The feel of the salon is very relaxed and laid-back yet contemporary (you know that they are up-to-date with everything current that is going on). Then Jessica even called less than two weeks later to make sure everything was OK which I really appreciate. And the fact that she went into how to care for certain hair colors versus other hair colors I was used to really made a difference. The best way to find a salon by the way is pull into the Bed bath and beyond parking lot then exit to the south (not on us 1) And you'll see them immediately to the right ( south of the dinner parking). read more

I don't think a cooler salon exists!!! It's such a beautiful space and all of the girls were beyond helpful with my 3 year old (thanks again!). I got styled by Savannah who really couldn't have done a better job. I wanted something fun, but not too risqué because of work and she hit it right on the nail. I got a blue and green balayage, gloss, haircut (because I had at least 4 fingers of death), and blowout. The end product was so worth the lengthy process (I have really long Dominican hair), and I can't wait to go back see what Savannah can create next! read more

Rose is the hair extension specialist in the salon. I've been going to the salon since the opening September 2012 and the vibe has only gotten better with time! I love getting my hair done by Rose but also love to chat with the rest of the crew including my favorite sister from another mother Irene!!! Bella was my stylist and she had to do a single process, highlights, a cut and flat iron my hair which hadn't been done in over 6 months, because I had just been through surgery and was unable to tilt my head back. Bella was extremely understanding of my situation and made me feel relaxed and comfortable and we had a blast, because she has an outstanding personality. I loved the way my hair came out. read more

Before coming to Ton Vangard I only had one person touch my hair in the past ten years. I've been here twice now and I this will be the only place that touches my hair for the next ten years at least! I hate to leave negative reviews. However, I'm very upset. I originally went to this salon in hopes to get an appointment with Brandon - he was unable to do my hair because he said he would be going out of town for the summer. He suggested I go to Jessica... so, I checked out her instagram and decided to go for it since all of the photos are beautiful. Jessica is very sweet and accommodating... we went over how I'd like my hair- we looked at instagram I showed her what The type of blonde tones I like. She showed me a photo on her instagram of a blonde that she thought would look nice on me & I was open to her suggestion. I would have liked if my hair turned out to look like that photo but it was FAR from it. My hair was extremely brassy pretty much orange and grey on the bottom. I told her I wasn't into it and she had me come back in to "correct" it... they sent me off with a treatment, "restoring" shampoo and conditioner. Thanks, but no thanks. It is now bright yellow on the top and grey on the bottom. I spent the most I have EVER spent on my hair in my life and I've been dying my hair blonde since I can remember. I will never go back...although, she gave me a haircut that I actually really liked. Over all you go back for a well done finished product... I hate my color. I now have to wait a few weeks to fix my hair ( again). read more

Visited here about a week ago and as usual blown away with Brittany's skills. There is no other who can master any shade of BLONDE!!! Brittany listens to your desires but also educates you on hair color and care to perfect your end result. I left my old salon about 2 years ago once I met Brittany and gave her a try...I would follow her anywhere! if you are looking for someone at the top of the game, uses best products out there and genuinely wants you to love hair as much as she does, please go and give her a visit.l You won't be disappointed. read more

I moved here from Georgia a year and a half ago and I was afraid to go anywhere to get my hair cut because I was so used to having the same person cut, dye and style my hair for many years. Finally I got fed up enough with my hair and I was lucky to find this lovely place. Amy was so friendly and fun to talk to. After explaining a few ideas I had she knew exactly what I wanted and the Haircut turned out perfectly. Not to mention the hair washing part before the haircut felt absolutely amazing and relaxing. I am so happy I was able to find a hair salon that has well experienced hairstylists that know what they are doing and offer a fun relaxing atmosphere at the same time. I highly recommend going to this salon. Can't wait to go again for a dye treatment. read more

My experience at Ton Vangard was above and beyond all of my expectations. Eric was absolutely amazing. He was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable. He really knows what he's talking about and always makes sure that you are both on the same page when it comes to the color. I am so happy with my hair! So glad I made the switch. I have been going to this salon for a few months because my nail tech moved there. I had been following them on their Instagram page and saw so many great transformations. I was feeling like my current hair stylist just wasn't getting that I wanted a real change. My first appointment with Jessica was great. I've been here twice so far and both experiences have been great. Lacey has been taking care of me and she did such a awesome job both times on my hair. She listens to what I want & need and recommends products & gives me good tips for my hair. So, I went to Ton Vangard to get a tattoo from Meira Yael and I can honestly say she will be the ONLY person that will tattoo me ever again! She is a true artist that cares about her clients and she is a perfectionist for sure! She made me feel really comfortable from the moment I walked in and she goes over everything in great detail (as far as what is going to happen, tattoo after care and such). The whole staff made me feel welcomed and it was a clean and friendly environment (not like most places you go to get a tattoo). Everything was clean and perfect, I couldn't have had a better experience. Everyone ALWAYS asks me who did my tattoo and I am so proud to say that Meira did it from Ton Vangard! if you have long hair and care about keeping it - or want any semblance of a decent haircut - STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM HERE i would give it zero stars or sadly -100 stars if able i had the worst salon experience of my life here recently i have had long hair my entire life (25+ years) and stressed OVER AND OVER how important keeping my hair long to me was - i stated OVER AND OVER that I HATE SHORT HAIR - and that i did not want a short haircut the stylist - STEPHEN - even pulled out a picture of himself with long hair and told me he "understood how important hair was" and that he "had long hair for over 30 years" apparently, it was a lie because i went in with 18" hair and left with a 1/2" short hackjob in the back this is no exaggeration, and my hair looks as if it was chopped with a hedgeclipper. i could have done a better job myself, or someone with no haircutting experience could have done a better job my hair did have breakage, but that started at 10"-12" - therefore we agreed that this was THE SHORTEST that it would be at the shortest point of the haircut. i brought in multiple pictures of a style i thought may work with the breakage, which was shorter in back than in front. so it was supposed to be 10-12" long at the back, graduating to the front, like an a-line bob, but on a MUCH LONGER level this guy did not even cut my hair on any type of line or style that i requested, or anything like any picture i showed him, didn't section it off properly, just seemed to grab random pieces of my hair and hack it. it all happened so fast, and he turned me around to look, and to my horror i saw my bare neck and i was in shock as any stylist knows, even if you were cutting an a-line bob, which i DID NOT ask for - you leave the top layer long and it meets the underneath layer - which is the shortest. my hair is short everywhere - it is disgusting, no style, and completely uneven. even the manager told me i should not let anyone else touch my hair or cut it any shorter since it is already so short and uneven - just let it grow i do not understand or believe that a stylist with "30 yrs of experience" would ever do this to a client, nor do i believe it is acceptable from a salon of this supposed quality i have to call BS. nobody has "30 years experience" and has a client that states repeatedly that they "HATE SHORT HAIR" "DO NOT WANT SHORT HAIR" and "WANT THEIR HAIR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE" and still hacks your hair he stated that "you're too sexy & beautiful to walk around with your hair looking like you have it now - it looks like you don't know what you are doing" now it is clear that HE is the one who DOESN'T know what he is doing this salon claims that they offer "toni & guy cutting techniques" there is no way in HELL this is true - the quality of the "haircut" i received was below that of a hair cuttery the salon is EMPTY - both when i went for my consultation and for my appointment, I was the only patron in the salon - that should have been my first cluen -do not make the same mistake that i did and trust someone you do not know i am now the very upset owner of an extremely short haircut that i vehemently stated I DID NOT WANT i have cried every day for 6 weeks. nothing will cure this but time, and I will probably never again trust someone to cut my hair after this horrific experience i am now a slave to extensions for years which is exactly what i stated i did not want to be, just wanted the damaged bottom of my hair cut off and continue to grow it out longer. extensions are the only way to hide (partially hide) the hell that is underneath. the hair is so short you can see the hack job both underneath - which is 1/2' long, and on top of the extensions which is about 3" long. there is no way to hide that and i am the one that now looks like an idiot with a wig on thanks to this jerk i did go back to the salon the next morning - and turned around to show the manager this hackjob - it only took him 2.5 seconds to promptly refund my $ - so at least i got refunded for what will take me at least 5 years to recover from did i mention this place charges $65 PER HAIRCUT ??!!! HIGHWAY ROBBERY ! VIDAL SASSOON ONLY CHARGES $75 ! also - i gave a $20 tip because i am a nice person, not because he deserved it! obv, i was TOO nice! this price doesn't even include a decent shampoo. more like your grandpa running water through your hair and barely washing it. horrible. for this price you should receive an excellent shampoo and scalp massage. i received nothing. to make matters worse, when i was standing at the desk talking to the manager, stephen had the AUDACITY to come over and ask what the problem was, then tried to justify his hackjob by saying that my hair was broken to that point! 1/2" ! COMPLETE LIE & BS! i had already showed the owner the picture that was taken of my hair wet in the salon before he started cutting it. HORRIBLE STYLIST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE read more

The good: The woman at front desk was polite, professional and very helpful. They were able to book an appointment for the same day I called. Good selection of products (although they were out of the one my stylist suggested) No wait, my stylist was ready & waiting for me. Good music selection. Not an uptight vibe, but fairly cool and casual. The bad: The parking is a mess. I must have been offered a beverage (for sale) at least 14 times, I understand the up-sell idea, but who drinks wine at 11 am on a tuesday? I showed my stylist 3-4 cuts I was considering and she chose one and said "let's do this one" Then she proceeded to chop off my bangs (note: non of the photos shown had short bangs, all were chin-length bobs that were longer in front and shorter in back with varying degrees of asymmetry) She continued chopping layers into my hair like Edward Scissorhands. Then when she was just about finished she said I think I'm going to just leave this back here, even though it's flipping up a bit, I like it that way... ignoring the fact that I told her the primary reason for my visit today was to get the hair off of the back of my neck for summer. OIY. I'm pretty sure I didn't ask for my hair to turn out like Carl's from the Walking Dead. The other thing was when I went to pay, they charged me for a top level stylist, when I was quoted a lower rate when I called. Whatever... I wouldn't have minded if it was a top level cut. But I have had a succession of bad hair days and this is on my top 5 list of worst haircuts. The ugly: My stylist also shampooed my hair with first scalding hot then cold water and somehow filled both ears and down my back with water. And she kept asking me to scrunch way down in the chair so she could reach better. Now I'm tall, but no "that" tall. Also when I made the appointment I noticed that they had a nail salon, so I asked if they used fresh tools with each client and was told "yes". They don't. She basically spritzed them with a little liquid from a spray bottle, not even soaking them or sterilizing them. No massage chairs, no frills. Very uncomfortable seat with no back. My advice, skip it. My overall impression is "where the heck are all of these stars coming from?" Will I be back, uh... NO. read more

I went to this salon because of their 5 star reviews. Got my hair done by Leslie. I asked for ombré hair and showed her a picture of exactly what I wanted. She said the hair I wanted was called a different name but that my hair will look extremely similar to the picture and promised I'll love it. The hair in the picture started brown and gradually changed to a grayish blonde as you went down. The process seemed like she knew what she was doing and the atmosphere of the salon was very good. But, as soon as she starts drying my hair and I look into the mirror, I see that my hair is blonde. Completely blonde. About 3 inches from the roots, blonde. Not a gradual change like I wanted, just brown to orange to a light blonde. Terrible. The ladies all said they loved it, it's nothing like I wanted. Not coming back. Update: Thanks for your response: but what you're saying isn't true. Leslie asked which color to use (blonder or silver) and I said silver. She told me how much it would cost, and it was beyond that. Forgive me as I sound like a giddy white girl (which I am), but I've got to say it... Best. Haircut. Everrr! Not only that though, Ton Vangard is an awesome salon all around (minus the parking. The parking's pretty crappy.) The customer service is delightful. Both greetings I received, over the phone and in person, were nothing short of being downright jolly. I felt like my business was appreciated and like they were truly happy to accommodate. Even when I showed up about 10 minutes late (as I mentioned the parking isn't that great and I had to park in the lot of a neighboring strip mall), I was greeted with zero attitude and given no grief at all for being tardy. Upon walking in, the salon is really modern and sleek. I loved the funky decor, and looking around, everyone working there was really on trend and had cool hair of their own, which is a muy importante tell-tale sign. When I called to make my appointment, I asked for someone who was good with long hair and the receptionist booked me with Amy, who was ready and waiting when I walked in. First we consulted. I brought in a few pictures of what I wanted since I was going for a change and something different than just a trim/shape up. Amy reviewed the pictures with me and got a feel for my own hair, devising a plan to give me a killer new style. Next came the wash. OMG@!#!$ the chairs at the wash station. I feel like I have been flying economy all my life and finally got a taste of first class. The chairs recline all the way back so you are laying completely horizontal and at the optimal position to relax and fully enjoy as you get your scalp lathered and massaged. Superior chairage. Now lets get down to the crux of it: the cut. Amy was a true pro and her skill level was distinguishable from the beginning when she made sure my legs were not crossed to ensure I get a straight cut. The way she sectioned off my hair and had me hold my head at different angles as she worked really made all the difference. I had total confidence as she worked, even as she attacked my new side swept bangs. Amy was also super friendly and I enjoyed chatting with her as she worked. And in the end, my hair was exactly what I wanted to the T. Way too often I walk away from a haircut with buyer's remorse as I drop 60+ bucks on a trim that looks nearly identical to when I walked in. Or, even worse, when a stylist gets scissor-happy and cuts off a few too many precious inches. But not Amy, she gave me perfectly blended side bangs, the exact length I wanted, and precisely structured layers to enhance the volume of my locks. What was also great were the tips Amy gave as she blew out my hair so I'd be able to recreate the look on my own which I really appreciated. I feel like I want to go back and remove stars I've awarded to past salons/stylists as until now, I never really knew what a 5-star salon experience was. Awesome X923820138210. Come here. Went to Ton Vangard to see Meira Yael and get my first tattoo! It was one of the best experiences I ever had. She was super sweet, meticulous and makes sure you are very comfortable. We ended up re-doing the stencil four or five times to make sure it was perfect; some for me wanting a different placement and some for her seeing it wasn't properly straight. It was really comforting knowing she was looking out for you right from the beginning(not that I had any doubts :)). Throughout the whole process, beginning to end, she talked me through it. From set up(opening a new needle and placing it in the gun right in front of you), to tattoo aftercare. I went with friends who were tattooed by her before, and she took the same care of them (previous clients) as she did with me( new client). I got a relatively small, simple design. She killed it! I am absolutely in love with it. I will without a doubt be going back to get something with more detail and color from her for sure! I cannot speak for the salon services themselves, but the staff of Ton Vangard were great! My friends and I were greeted warmly, got offered beverages, and chatted with quite a bit of the staff. I loved the vibe that the whole salon gave off. Everyone and everything was great! 10/10!! A friend recommended I go to Ton Vangard Salon and said it was awesome and modern with soul... HE WAS RIGHT!!! I am so picky about my hair, and very critical of salons... this was by far my best walk-in Salon experience of my life! From the moment we walked in we felt welcome. The owner Anthony greeted us at the door and offered us beverages while inquiring what services we were seeking. Stephen was available for my walk-in service within a couple of minutes. My shampoo felt relaxing and invigorating. The young lady who did my wash was pleasant and friendly. Stephen was ready for me right after my wash and very knowledgeable about long hair. HE WAS AMAZING! We had a great chat about the state of the world and the state of my hair of course! LOL. He explained the haircut as we progressed and made sure I was comfortable through the entire cut. Stephen gave me an awesome style exactly what I requested plus a wonderful touch of his personal style. He gave a wonderful blow dry and used amazing GK products that left me feeling absolutely beautiful and ready for my birthday day of fun. I moved to Fort Lauderdale from Alabama 4 years ago and struggled for months to find a new stylist who could deal with my "blonde" hair! After trying numerous salons, I made an appointment with one on Las Olas. The guy who was supposed to do my hair, didn't show up and Brandon Sherman was the other stylist there at his previous salon. Brandon took me in without hesitation and made my hair the perfect blonde I wanted. Now 4 years later, Brandon is my guy! I followed him from that salon to Ton Vanguard. I never have to worry if he is going to make me look and feel beautiful. I can give him ideas that I have, and he is totally truthful if he thinks that that look will work on me. Brandon is truly talented and I would recommend him to anyone. Brandon puts complete focus on making his client happy, and I can say that I've never left the salon without completely loving his work. Went in today for the first time to get a cut on my fresh extensions. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. I called late morning and was accommodated for a last minute appointment. The lady who answered the phone was extremely pleasant and didn't hesitate too fill me in for the same day. I was placed with Leslie who is a sweet and talented little lady who did a wonderful job on my hair. She made sure I was happy and as soon as I walked in greeted me , sat down and discussed what I what like done to my hair, she asked if I had any pictures of examples of what I would like and I didn't but she understood what I was looking for. She also does affordable hair extensions and I plan on visiting her in the future for more hair services. I was also offered champagne, tea, soda, coffee... Nice touch. Great salon, clean and has a little section of cute stylist outfits. Would be a nice place to go if seeking a makeover :) thanks Leslie and all the sweet ladies there today that were friendly. Rose Mangouta is my girl! The first time I went I got an amazing Keratin Treatment which lastet forever! I will defintely do it again! Rose is just the most perfectionist I have ever met. I am super picky with my hair (long hair) but Rose just makes it look gorgeaus every single time and never cuts too much. You always feel like a super star after she is done with you! I recommended Rose to a lot of my friends and each one of them is amazed and happy! I am originally from Berlin and we have great hairstylist, but in Fort Lauderdale it was super hard to find a young and good hairstylist. But than Ton Vangard openend and i met Rose and I am happy as I can be. Never going to go somewhere else. The color for my hair last forever and always looks perfect, never had one complaint!!!! Ton Vangard is one of the best salons I've ever been to, BY FAR, and I've been to many! I love that they're more then just a hair salon and that they do nails and tattoos as well. I've gotten my hair done my Brandon and it was perfect! He made my lilac hair as gorgeous as ever! I've also gotten 4 tattoos done by Meira (Mei) and they are exactly what I wanted! I love that the tattoo artists there are ACTUAL artists. Most people don't see the difference, but believe me, it's a huge one. I'm an artist myself, so I'm awfully picky and Mei was able to create lovely original designs for me that I am very happy with. She's def an all over artist and adds her own spark to each tattoo. If you choose this salon, go to Brandon for your hair and Mei for your tats! The rest of the staff is also oh so friendly and they offer you wine, which is always an A+ service on my list. Jessica R is the most talented stylist I've ever had the pleasure of meeting! I went into her chair with my hair looking flat and tired. We began a dialogue about what to do with my hair. Soon after talking with her, I felt so comfortable that I knew I was in good hands. I told her I didn't want to make any decisions; she should take the reins. When she got all of the products together, we moved to the shampoo station where she gave me the most amazing shampoo (always my favorite part)! The chairs and sinks there are so comfy! Jessica was very engaging during my cut and color process. I feel like I've known her for years. After my blowout, i was so surprised at how perfect the color was against my skin. It felt so light and healthy! She has a talent for matching color for your complexion. The whole experience was beyond my expectations! This goes out to Steve, my hair angel/life saver. I had a really bad cut that I was unhappy with, and Steve was chosen to fix it. I will preface this by saying I have a *ton* of hair. Very thick, very long, enough for 3 or 4 people's worth of hair. The stylist I had originally did not have enough experience to wrangle it, so when I went in to see Steve for the corrective cut I was cautiously optimistic. HE. IS. AMAZING. If you have long hair, thick hair, hair with a lot of volume or any combination of the above I can't recommend him enough. He knew exactly what he was doing with my cut to make it manageable - long layers with the shortest one being just below shoulder length - and he's also very down to Earth, friendly and fun while being super professional. I love coming to this salon for both the ambiance and the people, but I can say 100% that Steve has a new follower as of today. read more

I got my tattoo done here by Meira & everything was amazing! When I went for my consultation, I had never heard on Ton Vangard & was expecting it to be an actual tattoo parlor. Obviously it's not. The atmosphere was great. Everything was extremely clean & the staff, including Meira, we're all very nice. I told Meira what I wanted & she customized it so it would be unique to me. I was extremely picky & she was able to accommodated every wish that I had. This was my first (kinda sorta) big tattoo & I was nervous about the pain. Throughout the session she made sure to ask me if I needed to take a break. She was very clean & a perfectionist when it came down to it! I posted a picture in the gallery (it's the owl tattoo). For those seeking a salon with the lastest edgiest styles and product you should experience what I have. I originally came to Ton Vangard to see Kelly Nickleson for the most amazing eyelash extensions which I got and then some.. She mentioned Brandon the hair stylist since I had just gotten a very bad highlight that dried my hair out from a very reputable salon. These guys not only corrected buy exceeded my expectations and made me feel like I am part of a family the warmth and the caring to really listen to what is needed and not selling me into their services just really caring about me and what I need. I was recommended to see Brandon at Ton Vangard for color and a hair cut by my good friend. Every time I see her, her hair looks so amazing! I was so nervous about going to a new stylist because I am so picky with my hair. As soon as I walked in I was greeted instantly and every one took a second to smile and say hello. Then Brandon walked over and sat me down in his chair. We chit chatted for a few minutes about what I wanted to do with my hair and he pointed me in the direction I was wanting to go. When i first entered the shop, i was takin back by the coolest urban retro vibe i have ever seen. Everyone, and i mean EVERYONE was so nice!! as soon as i walked in they asked if i would like something to drink, how i was that day...ugh i just wish more places where like this. Anywho, i went in to see Meira, hands down the best tattoo artist I've had by far. she is so easy to talk to and always has her little twist to add to anything i throw her way. Their service was great, they make you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in the door. My first time here I wanted a change in my hair, I called and they booked me an appointment that same day. As seen in the pictures I want from my natural color to a "blonde" color like the ombré style. It was a horrible job by the stylist, but after posting a review. Irene called me and was very professional, that same day they fixed my hair to a blue black color. Steve (he was not the one who messed it with the blonde) did an amazing job at it, I have to say that I am in love with my hair color now thanks to him. Isabella Cerone is the best hair trendsetter I have ever encountered. She KNOWS hair and expertly guided me on what is realistic to expect from my fine, yet dense, long hair. I really came in for a consultation and she generously gave me a lot of time and a lot of expert advice that one just cannot get anywhere else. She cut with tremendous skill and attention and I've already received many compliments. You can tell that Bella loves hair, and I love that she was so open and honest with me! I had the pleasure of being able to have my first tattoo done by Meira . The service from the first call to healing checkups even weeks after having my tattoo made me choose her for all my future tattoos. Meira is truly an amazing artist and person who's kindness and patience made my experience unparalleled to any other! Her attention to detail and how colors play together left me not only with an amazing one of a kind piece, but most importantly with every ounce of trust in her. Also the entire salons staff never failed to be welcoming and inviting which left me wanting to come back for a hair appointment. I have been going to Brandon for the past year now, and I cannot stress how pleased I am every single time I leave the salon. My first appointment was made to fix a botched ombre from another salon, and Brandon is not only talented but extremely patient as well. I have a LOT of hair and I must have been in that chair for 4-5 hours, but I never felt like a burden nor did I feel like he ever tried to rush the job. The finished product was better than I could have imagined. Over the past year, I have tried a couple different cuts and colors with Brandon and he always delivers beyond my expectations. I've been going to the same hair stylist in Orlando for 7 years, and he completely ruined my hair the first time I've ever gotten it dyed. I was hesitant on getting my hair dyed again, but Irene definitely made me feel comfortable as soon as I got there. She recommended my to Pilar who completely fixed my hair and gave me a beautiful balayage ombré. She took her time and gave me exactly what I wanted. She has a great personality and truly loves being a hair stylist. I would definitely recommend her to everyone! The other hair stylist at the salon were also very friendly and caring, asking if I wanted a drink every 10 minutes. I love the vibe at the salon and can't wait to go back there! Eric Austin is everything you want and more in a hair stylist. I have been to a handful of top notch hair stylists / colorist and Eric is by far at the top of the list. Beyond friendly and skilled, he made me feel comfortable and confident in his abilities. During the process he made sure to maintain the integrity of my hair and topped the service off with a glass of wine a luscious conditioning treatment which left me and my hair feeling real good. Im obsessed with my color. Finally, I found a stylist who I can trust to deliver excellent results! I look forward to the low maintenance and gorgeous locks. After driving all the way to Miami for a haircut I decided to try to find a great stylist locally in Fort Lauderdale After trying two salons (the stylist were decent but nothing special for the price) I finally decided to book an appointment with savannah at Ton Vanguard. She had great reviews as did the salon overall. I've had two haircuts from her so far and will continue to go back. She does a fantastic job, listens to what I want, and styles very well!!! she's very personable too. The salon is trendy and clean, but has a friendly, customer oriented atmosphere. This place is amazing, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is the best. My tattoo artist Emily Holtzheuser, is everything I look for in a artist. Tattooing is just one of her many talents, she worked with me endlessly working on my tattoos, fixing and tweaking ideas. For instance my back piece was worked on by not that great of artist when I was stationed in North Carolina. One of them even skipped town with my deposit for a follow up appointment. I was embarrassed taking off my shirt. But Emily and her work turned my back piece into a beautiful work of art.
