Chicken strips, salads and sandwiches are so ordinary you will will leave feeling incomplete. We are nothing unless we achieve exceptional heights and the food at Tom's is far from exceptional. I write this to warn you about the chicken and waffles. Do not order them. I have been going to this place for years, and feel compelled to warn people about this dish. It sounds like a good deal because you get 4 pieces of chicken and a waffle, but the chicken is absolutely disgusting. It taste extremely greasy and fatty but worst of all, they are extremely small and dwarfed. It almost doesn't look like chicken. I wish I took a picture. The wing doesn't look like a wing, the leg was the size of my pinky finger, I am not exaggerating. I know you may think this may just be one occurrence, but this has happened to me every single time I order this. The last time I sent the food back and asked about it, and was told by the manager they cannot do anything about it because that is the way they receive the 'chicken' from their supplier and they cannot do anything about it. I'm guessing when the original manager who opened this store quit & all his amazing employees followed this was going to happen. Used to be good in the past, not anymore. The last two times I ate there, including today, I got sick within an hour. Also problems with lack of cleaning tables and leaving food on the floor. I noticed that the person who handled the cleaning, was touching dirt and cleaning tables, did it without gloves and didn't wash his hands and then handled food. You know what a stickler I am for customer service. Just went there to pick up lunch for myself and 2 others. We all ordered BLTA with no tomato. To of them had extra lettuce, extra bacon. All the sandwiches were made exactly the same! They all had the same amount of bacon and none of them had avocado! So we paid extra for extra bacon, which we didn't get and I'm pretty sure the "A" in BLTA is avocado.. Edit: I was wrong. I'm reviewing the pastrami sandwich specifically The bread was dry and thick. Meat was seasoned well but due to the dry bread it made it hard to chew and swallow. I normally love this place. Good food, good service. I go there maybe once a week. Tonight I ordered a Tom's breakfast burrito with a side of bacon. I also decided since the people always give good, pleasant service, I'd tip them more than normal. And they forgot to give me the side of bacon. This isn't the first time, they have forgotten an item at the drive thru. I should have double checked before I drove off, which is my bad. But now I'm home and don't want to drive all the way back to get my bacon or my money back. Oh well. If you go here, be sure to check the bag and make sure they gave you everything because if you drive away you are out of luck. Came here for breakfast via drive thru had the breakfast special biscuits gravy choice meat and a coffee should have been charged 13.76 paid by credit card but was latter charged 73.76 The manager would not help said it's not this problem but my problem. I mainly come here for their family meal deals after 3 p.m. 3 burgers, fries, and drink $10.99 or 4 burgers, fries, and drink for about $24 with tax. Fantastic deal and made fresh to order so if driving through be prepared for a 10-15 minute wait (when no one else is in line). Customer service: Speaking from someone who only has used the drive through they are good and accommodating with order combinations. My order has always been correct. Price: $ is very reasonable. I can feed my family for under $20. Food quality: I'd definitely recommend their burgers which I usually order. They are classic burger joint style. Other foods I have tried are grill cheese (pretty good), gyro (so so, would not re-order), and burrito (so so but this is a hamburger joint). After a few years I thought I would give Tom's another go. At 9:30 the place was almost empty. I order at the counter, $7.99 breakfast special. I take my number, sit and have coffee. Within minutes, most of my order arrives. Ok, so I saw the hash browns sitting on the fryer top along with already cooked bacon, so both were sorta warm and the eggs were ok. No toast. I go up to the counter and asked if toast still comes with breakfast, to which the guy replied yes, you asked for wheat. I go back to my seat and wait.....and wait. After a few more minutes, I go up again and ask about the toast, to which the guy replies, ok. I wait again....I go up to the counter this time looking not so happy and shrug my shoulders. I go back to my seat. By this time ten minutes had passed when a younger guy comes over, puts the toast in front of me, stares, then walks away.
