Tom's is my go to for a quick weekend breakfast. They make a great biscuit & gravy which I love. The eggs and bacon are always perfectly cooked. While I stick to my staple my wife branches out a lot. Burgers, zucchini, fries, waffles, chicken fried steak, pancakes. She's tried a lot and is always happy. Come for breakfast, lunch, dinner. You won't leave unhappy. Weekend mornings are usually busy but service is quick and the runners are efficient with coffee and soda refills and checking on you during your meal.

Back again! It's been a while, but I was still pleased with the quick service. My mom really enjoyed her Cobb salad and my friend enjoyed her omelet. I of course enjoyed the lovely strawberry waffle!

Great breakfast spot. The food was great. They are very generous with their portions so be ready to stuff your face :) I'm mad I really thought I took a pic of my food :( I only took a pic of my pancakes. I ate an omelette which was delicious. Pancakes were also very good! The service was awesome. Friendly staff & very attentive. The place is very clean they do have private parking and street parking is also available.

4 drinks for super value family meal

Nice neighborhood restaurant. They have lots of good deal such as 1.99 taco on Tuesday and Thursday. Quarter pound burger for 4 only 19.99 with fries and drinks. Services is nice

Friendly face greeted me, looking for a cheeseburger to see if it is good enough to talk or write about, quick answer not really but the name Tom's Family stuck with me, prices are decent I'd say family affordable! Liked the Pasadena based murals do if you have friends that live nearby snd you don't want to break the bank yeah sure . One quibble , didn't like the cheese they use.

French toast bacon and eggs really good I love to come here, fast service and great customer service!!!!

Lately I have noticed a very big change in terms of service, they receive you very kindly and very attentive as to whether you are missing something or want more coffee, etc etc!!! Well done TOM's Team

    Bert zucchini

Food was not that great the zucchini was burnt and lacked seasoning. Burger was mid it lacked flavor. The asada fries also lacked flavor and the nachos cheese on it was gross

This place always hits the spot -- I love club sandwiches and theirs is pretty tasty. Bacon could've been a bit more crispy but delicious nonetheless

Prices also seem pretty reasonable. My first time here I ordered the Corned Beef Hash with house potatoes and chili. It also came with two eggs and their famous banana bread. The corned beef hash was decent and very filling, but it was a little salty for me and I would've liked more crispy bits. The famous banana bread was decent too, but a little dry. My second time here I got the Machaca Egg Scramble, which came with tortillas. It was good, but I felt like it could've used a little more flavor or some salsa to go with it. Overall, I feel like the food here is decent but nothing really stood out to me. It's a solid spot to grab brunch with reasonable prices and quick service. I'd come back if someone suggested it, but probably not somewhere I'd personally seek out.

My visit was mid-week and early lunch time...everything I saw come out of the kitchen window looked very good and tasty. I wouldn't think about coming here on a weekend morning as the parking is terrible and I guarantee you...you'll probably have a 45 min wait. I came for the shrimp and grits...hoping it would have been more filling. The number of shrimp was right on...but the grits quantity was not that great. It didn't match well...not hearty. Other restaurants that serve shrimp and grits offer more in the grits amount. The mushrooms and onions topping was so good. For the price...more grits, that's all. Since I wasn't satisfied...amount wise and still a bit hungry, I ordered a cup of their creole tomato soup...that was OK...tasted a bit burnt...I wouldn't order this again...nothing to boast about. However, the menu looks to have so many great things to order and yes, I recommend this restaurant for all three meals. My ice tea was average...free refills...this was great.

Today we had the clhicken fried mushrooms and corn waffle that comes with creamed kale and tomato syrup. Just mind blowing good!! I used to get the shrimp and grits till I discovered this flavor bomb. My partner had the short rib pot roast with glazed carrots and buttered dumplings. Insane flavors ! I also had to try the veggie burger of the day. Chicken fried portobello with sweet corn relish roasted red pepper spread and goat cheese. Wow ! Had to get grits and collard greens too. The grits are so creamy they are divine. We got the strawberry chess pie for dessert but had to take it home after a few bites. My only problem with this restaurant is the extremely cold air conditioning on not hot days and evenings but since it's hot out it wasn't too cold in here. I highly recommend having a sweater with you during cooler months. All in all the food here is stellar. Never had a dinner we didnt love.

The counter isn't a good option, because you can see and hear everything, and that kitchen talks a lot of inappropriate things. Especially the lady. And at one point she was leaning on the counter picking her ears, I did mention it to my waiter. Because I was hoping she wasn't going to be the one cooking my food. The service was great, nice young man that's very pleasant. But I think the worse was the sourdough bread, very very low quality white bread basically...$30 (with tip) should be decent. So far, I've tried their coffee. It's not exactly the cheapest coffee out there but at least it's cheaper than Starbucks. For dinner I got a Chinese Chicken Sandwhich which was okay....but I would only eat it again if i was in need desperately for fiber. Today, I started off with the same coffee routine, but for lunch I got their Italian combo which was lasagna with salad and garlic bread stick. WOW. That lasagna was super dry. It was one of those frozen lasagna that you can buy at Costco...but even if I were to make it it would come out better. The food wasn't even kept in a steamer, but a tin foil tray so it was cold and dry. BLEH. The salad was okay, but they piled it on with ranch dressing :( And the bread stick. my GOSH! The roof of my mouth is still trying to recover from the flavorless dry plank of carbs that I was given. All that for ~$7. RIPPPPP OFFFFFFF. There is still the Chinese selection and the grill that I have yet to try. Chinese doesn't look too promising...for sure worse than Panda Express right across the street. The grill though looks good considering they actually make it for you on the spot. They also have a fried popcorn chicken and french fries you can grab and go. It looks good, but I have mainly 2 issues with it 1) It costs ~$6.50 and 2) it's WRAPPED IN SARAN WRAP IN A STYROFOAM TRAY SITTING UNDER THE HEAT TRYING TO KEEP IT WARM!!! uh...HELLO?!?! Isn't that just WAITING for cancer to happen with MELTING PLASTIC?!?!?!?! YIKES! For the sake of being on campus, it's 2 stars. They also keep the place pretty clean. The cut was also very thin, more like something suited for a sandwich than a proper steak. After that, the server kindly offered me the sirloin as well, but it was undercooked in the center, on the raw side and not properly prepared either. At that point, I didn't want to continue sending food back or making it more complicated, so I declined further replacements. The server did offer alternatives and remained very polite and accommodating throughout, which I genuinely appreciated.
