Will your car be completely spotless? No. Will you get a decent wash for the price? Hell yeah. This car wash is run by the most friendly, hardworking men you'll ever have met. Conveniently close to home, I've never had a reason to go anywhere else tbh. I appreciate that they always hand dry your car afterwards too, as opposed to just relying on the dryer. You know car wash dryers don't ever dry your car thoroughly enough. Also appreciate the fact that they provide you with free vacuums and there's no time limit. That doesn't mean hog it all to yourself though as there're only 3 vacuums lol. All in all, real unbeatable prices and service here. Again, not your superb detail shop, but decent for biweekly car wash needs. Protect these guys at all costs. And y'all, please don't forget to tip them! It's not easy doing everything by hand, for hours on end. Reward them for their outstanding work! read more

Amazing car wash, amazing prices, amazing workers! The guy was ready to take my payment while I was in my car, it was super fast and easy once my car was actually in the car wash & they hand dried my car after & I left them a tip!! Super fast & super cheap for how much of the services are offered! My car looked soo good after read more

The old machine broke my mom's side view mirror on her brand new 2023 Chevy Equinox and when my boyfriend went back to speak to the owner the employees said that he wasn't there and there's no number and that it was already broken ugh I hate business that don't admit fault and there's no way contacting the owner!!! bad business read more

Barely washes the car. I like to use the vacuum for a quick clean. But today I went in and I have marks all over my car. When I went to let them know they acted like if I was the problem. They said it was "grease marks" then said it was already there before the wash!! They got really defensive and started acting like of what I was saying was absurd. Yelling and telling the others that I was wrong. Not helpful at all. Don't go unless u want to get marks on ur car then have to go to another car wash to actually clean ur car. read more

Tommy's Express Carwash - Car Wash Near Me - Long Beach, California

This is probably the most inexpensive car wash you will find, and it definitely does the job! You can choose from the 3 different levels, ranging between $5 and $7 - so even if you get the highest quality one, it is still a great deal. Sometimes there is a bit of a line, but it never takes too long to get through it. A guy will come up to your window, you pay for the wash you want, and he puts a mark on your window so they know which one you paid for. Before you go in the drive thru, they spray down your car to get a bunch of the initial dirt off your car. Then, you go through! At the end, a couple guys dry off your car, which is also where you can tip. At this point, this is where I find this car wash to be a bit tricky. After they dry you off, you are pretty much pulling onto Santa Fe, which is fine if you don't want to take advantage of the free vacuum. But I've never been able to maneuver my way to the vacuums without completely leaving the cash wash, and pulling back in. This isn't the end of the world, just a bit inconvenient. I wonder if anyone else has this problem. But this being said, the vacuums are great and free, you just have to get one of the guys to turn them on for you. Overall, this is a very solid car wash, and its a great value for how inexpensive it is. read more

Very old broken equipment, scratched all the side of my car.. you get what you pay for

My car paint was Chip and burnt. My car is a brand new Mini Cooper. Now my car has freckles because of this car wash.

I won't be coming back, good prices but you get what you pay for & unfortunately I got a bunch of scratches all over my car & all on the Left side of the car. I will add a few pics, I did like the fact that they hose your car down & give a quick wipe w/soap then you put your car in neutral & in you go the drying is like your typical arco gas station drying & then they hand dry your car it was OK. 1 of the guys started drying as soon as the car came out & the other 1 just sat on his phone for a minute before he started helping his coworker. read more

WEST SIDERS - This review is for all 90810'ers ;) Tommy's Car Wash was built on a lot that was vacant for more than 5 years. It used to be a 76 station - the one on Santa Fe & Willow where you could buy Benson & Hedges for 25 cents if you didn't want to buy a whole pack. Fast forward, and now anyone who used to buy those stale single menthols now have a place to wash their car so conveniently and quickly. Much better than having to drive to Big Penny in Artesia if you are in a hurry to impress the person you are going to be picking up today ;) Washes are $5 - Express - Basic Soap and Water $6 - Includes Rainbow Wax, Sealant $7 - Includes the above, and undercarriage wash, as well as free Armor All on the Tires M-Th The vacuums are free if you get your car washed here. They'll turn the meter on for you. Ask for a business card, you can earn points for a free wash. Be nice to the guys here - they bust their hump and pre-soap and rinse ALL of the cards that come out here. Even the owner's nephews. Try coming during an "off hour" (when they first open, not during lunch, and not after everyone gets off work) This place is pretty popular and the line gets doubled up in the lot, as well as clear through to Willow even though it tails around to Santa Fe. read more

Instead of spending $20-30 dollars on one of those "old school" car washes, or half a day at Target looking for the right hose attachments to own wash (then get them home to realize the concept was much better on paper), zip on down to a Tommy Express Carwash near you. Unfortunately, I am not in the Long Beach area that much, but I happened to be driving by and found this gem right at the time my car looked like Los Angeles first tumbleweed rolling on the 405. Not only was it "exress" - they even included a hand dry at the end of the wash. While I am a big fan of express washes in general nowadays, the one normal gripe is the poor dry-job at the finish line. Not here! They actually spend the extra time and labor on getting those final water streaks off your car. Thanks Tommy! Open up one in my neighborhood. read more

OK, I used to go to Bixby car wash all the damn time and spend around $20 or more for a wash. Sure you get your rims cleaned and all that but sometimes, actually most times you just want to get in and get out. You can do exactly that at Tommys! Pull up vacuum out your ride on your own and then pull around for the pressure washer spray down and a little bit of hand washing by Tommy and his crew. $7 on a M-F will get you free armor all on your tires! I will probably never stop going to Bixby for the hand wax and full on detail job but for a quick wash, I'm going to Tommys. read more

Definitely worth every penny! For the price of $5 and speedy service, you would think it would be one of those crappy express carwash places but not this one! They power wash your car before you go into the wash to wash away the big gunks. You go through the machine for about 3-4 minutes then there's an automatic air dry plus an additional hand dry by two guys at the end. From waiting in line including the carwash, I was there for a total of 14 minutes. Vacuums are also free if you pull around to the side if you have extra time. If you're looking for a place that's quick and quality wash, come to Tommy's Express Carwash! I don't think they take cards so bring cash!! Also, don't be stingy and tip the workers! read more

This place rocks! I went to get my car washed and there were 2 cars in front of me and it seriously only took like 5 mins. $5, $6, and $7 washes you can't beat it. They prep your car before you go into the wash with a scrub down, then you go through, then you air dry, then another guy hand drys what's left. All with great attitudes and super quick. it was my first time and I told the guy that I live not too far and I had heard good things and he gave me an extra stamp on my stamp card. Oh yeah did I forget to mention the stamp card, with 10 washes you get one free. I already got 2! Def worth checking out for $5. Oh and please tip, these guys work hard for tips. read more

I like coming to this place because its conveniently close to my house, but some of these guys need to put in more effort into their job. I feel bad for the crew that is working hard while the others are eating a popsicle or talking on the phone & doing a half-assed job. read more

Carwash prices are $5, $6, and $7...I suggest that if you're going to take advantage of the FREE vaccuming, which you do yourself, do it before the carwash... anyone who knows me, knows that I rarely wash my car (my excuse is, it always rains after, lol). But this place is great, it can get packed during peak times and days (ex. weekends) I love this place I don't have to beat a timer, I put my car in neutral, sit back and relax =] read more

This place ROCKS! Who's got time to wait 45 minutes for a traditional car wash? I'm in and out of this baby in 5-10 minutes. Their top-of-the-line deluxe wash is only $7. What a deal! I'm done with traditional car washes. If you're on a budget like I am, this is a MUST TRY! read more

It was whatevers. They left water streaks on my window. Let's just say you get what you pay for. It was in a real bad part of town. No one mentioned that you don't get interior vacuuming. I think you have to do it yourself. I don't think I would come back here. I would rather spend $11 and stay in Irvine for all hands car wash that also wipes down and vacuums the interior. read more

Tommy's is a great place to get a carwash at a great price. The soap is lathered onto your car by hand by two guys who wear those giant mittens. After that your car goes through the automated process that puts more soap, mops around with giant strips of cloth, then has a bunch of wax dropped on it, and everything gets rinsed off. At the end two more guys hand dry your car's exterior by hand with towels. Vacuums are free and self service. You just need to get a guy to turn it on for you. You can do it before or after they wash. Prices are as follows: $5 - wash and rinse $6 - wash and rinse with sealer wax $7 - wash and rinse and undercarriage (M-Th this also includes free tire dressing) I guess you have to ask for a car wash stamp coupon, I did not get one. Only downside is they only have like 3 vacuums so you have to hope there isn't a lot of people when you go. read more

Just had someone ram into me while on neutral on the conveyor belt . Extremely upset because they piled the cars up too close. The truck behind me admitted to hitting my car because of this. Two employees witnessed it happen and one of the employees in the front was accusing me of lying and saying it looked like the scratches on my bumper were already there when they clearly weren't. The truck behind me even admitted that he hit me more than once while on neutral on the conveyor belt. This is INSANE! They took down my information and refused to give me the owners info. Now I'm waiting and hoping they call. WTF?! read more

I had my car washed and the machine broke my side mirror. I told the guys there immediately and they processed to blame me, that my side mirror was already broken before I went in. I asked to speak with the owner, but they told me he wasn't there. They took pictures of my side mirror and I gave them my information. As of today, the owner has failed to contact me. So easy to take all our money but he refuses to be responsible for his company. read more

Lucky I'm giving them one star it's Dirty ,electrical wires hanging out everywhere im surprised it's still in business

I didn't realize how great this place was until I went to other places. It is super cheap and the people here are really hard workers. It's a block away from work, so I come here whenever I'm too lazy to do it myself (which is a lot.) They pre-soap your car and get in all the nooks and crannies, tape down your windshield wipers and hand dry your car even after the machine blow dries it. Due to the popularity though, it does get quite crowded during peak hours and you usually have to hunt down someone to turn on the vacuums for you. read more

Took my car for a Works Wash yesterday which according to a sign includes tire dress. After the wash the guy waved me off and I opened the door, telling I paid for the Works wash which includes tire dress. He said no, two dollars. I said the sign says included and said no again two dollars. I gave him the middle finger salute and left. I will not visit this rip off place again! The car dryers half do their job leaving water dripping everywhere. read more

I was very optimistic about this car wash. I have a new 2014 BLACK car and was ready for my first car wash! It was very busy, but i went thru quickly (it stopped mid-way thru for a few minutes?). You go thru a mechanical system, and then you are out and two guys are drying your car. I asked where the vacuum was and the guy pointed me OUT of the parking lot. Upon further examination, i found them back in the lot, but i would have had to wait in line and try to navigate between cars to get in and out... no thanks! When i got back to my home, i saw LOTS of water spots (really visible on a dark car) and still spots of bird ^&**%)*&^ on the top of the car. What's worse, there seems to be a lot of 'micro scratches' on my car, maybe from the mechanical washing? I won't use them again with lots of other highly rated options out there. read more

This car wash is terrible. Staff is not friendly and half the time I come here something is always broken. Do yourself a favor, go to a different car wash. This place is not worth 6 bucks. read more

The price is great at $5.00 plus they give you free vacuuming. Beware of 2 things: 1. The brushes stay dirty so beware if you have an expensive car. I have a piece-of-crap so it doesn't matter much. 2. The system does not clean well so check your car afterwards. If you are not satisfied, they will let you run through again. I had some bird poop that did not come off on the first try. read more

Why does your hours show 6pm and it's 4:30 and you couldn't take my car in ? & you can at least come apologize for the inconvenience of why you guys are closing early instead they ignored me as I was trying to talk to the employee and walk right by my car left me talking to myself . Horrible service. Faulty machine that does not even deliver proper water flow into the machinery. My top was all scratched up due to the lack of proper water flow. Tommy's was for many years my go-to 5 dollar car wash, or I guess now, 6 dollar car wash:) Sadly I've noticed the quality slide precipitously over the last 2 years. It's tough to complain about a discount car wash but if you need to spend a good five minutes after the wash is "done," asking the guys to wipe away dirt that they missed in their quick once-over, then maybe it's not so great anymore. But if you are going to go, try and head there during a slow time when the guys can give you a little more attention, so no Fridays, or weekends, and not around lunch hours when there's usually a line (from noonish-2pm). That's my 2 cents! read more

If your paying 5$ for a wash don't expect your car to look super clean I mean you get what you pay for! If you want an inexpensive wash, I'd come here but if you want all the stains to come off and look super clean I suggest staying away. 5$ is not bad! I have a black car, not all the stains came off and a lot of the lint from them drying my car stayed there but my car looked way better then it was before! Not bad for 5$ better than me doing it myself read more

It's older but vacuum worked and it had the scent sprayer for carpet. Pretty basic prices and efficient machines!

It's ok. They did a quick rub of my tires which were still dirty after the wash and dry. I found the vacuum to be very weak. It took a very long time to clean the inside of my car due to having to go over the same spots repeatedly (chip crumbs from my niece). For seven bucks I can't complain much. I would only come back here for quick touch ups etc. not a full wash. They say they accept credit cards but the guy was taking cash at the wash entrance. read more
