I can appreciate a drive-thru hands-free car wash at anytime of day. The tri-color foam is nice to look at when it's sprayed on your windshield. What I like the most is for every 5 car washes, you get a free one. There are no stamp cards involved but you just have to save your receipts as proof of purchase. It does a decent job but don't expect it to be perfect. read more

It's too bad that so many people are disappointed by the car wash at this Mobil. It's the only one around that offers a touchless one which is a god send when you can't use ones with brushes and can't even use the ones at the self wash stations. I've since learned that all of those leave swirl marks. I only use the deluxe because that one gets the undercarriage jets that help loosen up the wheels and sides but doesn't use the scary colored foam. I wish I could get it without the spotless rinse, but beggars can't be choosers. If your car is really dirty, you should only expect this place to start loosening all those days or weeks of buildup and finish it off at home with a good set of microfiber towels and a some good products like Griot's to get it back to showroom. read more

Good carwash for Teslas! I took my MYP for a wash. Didn't have to worry about my Uberturbines getting scratched from the conveyor type. Just bring a towel so you can dry it off. Also, the attendant was nice and professional. You don't need to go in to purchase the carwash. Also there's a deal if you have receipt for 5 washes, you get 6th free. read more

I originally came here just for the gas, this place had no food station. I decided to get a car wash after watching someone come out of the car wash tunnel. This place is convenient being on Bellflower near the 405 so I stopped by here. They had some snacks inside and an ice cream box with various ice cream sandwiches. After pumping gas I entered my carwash code and proceeded to enter. I had a little fun as I was splashed with soap and hot water. the came the wax seal, in a rainbow of colors, looking like goow sprayed all over my car. A rinse and blow dry later I was gone and it was a rather relaxing experience. Unfortunately, after paying $10 for a car wash, I arrived home and noticed my car still had dirt and prints on it. This is the only reason I did not give this place 4 stars, otherwise I had no complaints. read more

Worst car wash around Since changing the machinery or type of technology they use. Doesn't even give you the package you purchase. Waste of money. Doesn't do much better than running a water hose over your car for $10. The dryer has almost no impact on drying the car. Try drying it using the full 75 second countdown. Thank god the freeway is close by to drive the water off your car after. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I like this Mobil gas station. Their prices are pretty competitive with the other gas stations on the street. The store is clean, and the people that work behind the counter are pretty cool. But the main reason why I like this Mobil is that they have a 24 hour touchless car wash. Instead of the usual brushes and spinners you see at other gas station car washes, this car wash uses high pressure water jets. So nothing but water touches your car. No worries about getting surface scratches from spinning brushes. However, if your car is filthy and hasn't been washed in months, then this car wash will suck. Don't waste your money. Go get a hand car wash up the street on PCH and 7th. But if you're the type of person that usually keeps a clean car, then this car wash is great. It will blast away a weeks worth of dust/dirt in no time, and you'll be ready for the weekend. Express wash is $5. Cash, credit, or Speed Pass is accepted. I don't think the Deluxe wash is worth it. Supposedly you get a clear coat wax or something. read more

Inexpensive - Washes start at $6 and go to $10. Easy - If you pay with cash you don't even need to leave your car, just make sure you've got exact change. The machines take cash and coins. This is the WORST car wash ever! Do not use their car wash. I waited in line at the car wash for 40 minutes (there were only 2 cars in front of me). I finally got into the car wash and it stopped mid wash. Nobody came out to help. So after about 5 minutes, I called information and got their number. Told them I was stuck in the wash. Some guy came out and had to back everyone up in line to have me back out and restart the wash. After all of that, my car didn't look like it was washed at all. It was full of spots. Had to find a 24 hour car wash machine on the way back from San Diego. the cart was dirty as heck, so I yelped out this place and called to check if their car wash was open, the guy said yes. When I got there, I was so happy to be able to wash down the car. Prices were eh.. Basic was $7 delux was like $10? There was more but I didn't need anything fancier than a basic wash. I particularly love this car wash because it is a automated touchless car wash. So there are no brushes, bristles or anything touching your car to prevent any scratches. It cleans by blasting high pressure water. The only reason I wash my car here is because my car rarely gets dirty, but it does get dusty and I just let the water blast the dust off. So if you have a car that is dirty enough to write "Wash me" on the window, I would try this car wash but I don't think it can get it very clean. You may need a car wash that touches your paint. I am very happy I found this car wash through yelp. I personally wash my own car by hand at home but this saves me time and hard work. P.S. As of August 2018, They have 4 different price ranges $5 being the basic, $7 or $8, $9, and $10 being the top of the line giving you a under carriage wash, rainbow foam soap, Rain X water protectant. This gas station has the most friendly attendants I have ever experienced in California. We grow so used to bad service at gas stations that it becomes truly exceptional to experience genuine customer service in such an establishment. OK I haven't gotten gas here for years - I used to be a Mobil gal back in the early 1990s when they were the earliest gas station to start accepting debit cards, but nowadays it's too expensive to get gas here. Nonetheless, I do come here occasionally for the 24-hour carwash, as well as stopping in the morning for a soda or coffee. Since Los Altos Center has yet to be inundated by any chain coffee establishment such as Starbucks, etc., there is actually no place to go for coffee here in the early AM for those of us who commute from this area. When I come here in the morning, I get the royal treatment, with one guy holding the door open for me, and the other complimenting me and being all cheery while I buy my morning caffeine. I'd give 5 stars for service alone, but to be fair, the gas here is a tad too expensive, and the carwash may get the top layer of dust off my car, but that's it, it doesn't touch the pollen and other junk caked onto car. But regardless, the people who work here are greater than I could ever expect - shocking in the most wonderful of ways. read more

Though I do not get gas here, I have occasionally come for the car wash. While it isn't the best car wash (often my black car is still left with a thin layer of dirt or bird poo), it rinses alright. I see no difference, aside from price, in the types of car washes they provide. Further, it makes no sense to pay extra since nobody is actually hand drying the car. You end up with spots from the water anyway, since the dryers drip water onto your car after drying. Heh. read more

Los Altos Mobil differentiates itself by having a super-friendly staff who are helpful and always say hi (instead of grunting at you as is the norm most places). The touchless car wash is also the best around. I usually fill up here a couple of times a week and only go somewhere else if I run out of gas away from home. read more
