This is the most unfriendly gas station. The owner is not amenable to customers. You can say thank you and he doesn't even respond with a word of gratitude for shopping at his store. People go here because of the cheap gas prices. If this store was something other than a gas station it would probably be out of business; I am sure the owner/operator is aware of this and doesn't care to be friendly since he has a the attraction of low price gas I will not go here anymore and will go to the nearest Circle K, even though it's a little bit more expensive. read more

I experienced harassment at this gas station of the owner or manager. He stood outside my car telling me to hurry up. I was checking my bank quickly on my phone before pumping my gas. It took 2-3 minutes max. He proceeded to tell me there was a line and to hurry up or move. Than told this other customer to tell me to move. Both began harassing me. There was 7 other spots to get gas from. And I would have been out faster if they had left me alone. This is a terrible gas station and I do not recommend it. The workers are nice enough butbcouldnt explain the difference in tax on two different 99 cent items. A 99cent large coke was 1.11 and a 99 cent lighter was 1.09. The cashier promised to give every their cent difference. I explained that what they were doing was illegal. The cashier shrugged his shoulders. They saved me in a pinch, not to be confused with any of the pinches I get for not wearing green. I spend a bit too long in LB and needed to head out in a hurry with no time to eat and no gas in my car. This place has many pumps like any good gas stations and entrance/exits on both sides of the lot. Too bad it has the annoying pay at the island and then fill up at the pump, come back for a reciept. Good thing they have snacks inside. I grabbed a spicy hot dog and cherry pepsi with ice. But they also have coffee, milk, candy, pastry, chips, beef jerky, nuts and more. Chico stick fans, yes, they have the old fashioned chico sticks. I would have grabbed one but I was 8 hours away from my next toothbrushing session. The cashiers seem cool when I come and the place always has enough to eat if I need to eat from here. They do not serve up something that taste like my fav chef Gordon Ramsay would make, but in a pinch, it will do. Thier proximity to one of my schools, the LB freeways and big streets make this place convenient, efficient and a go-to place. read more

The night clerk, a young guy, about 20ish maybe teen, Middle Eastern, just tried to swindle my mother by telling her there is a $2 charge to use an Arco gift card to pay for gas. Apprently, he has tried to pull this with her a few times before. Beware! I went to confront him and have his picture and a video up to the point he asks me to turn it off...obviously since he has something to hide. He then proceeded to say it was their store policy and then turned to other customers. Check to see if they are cheating you...I have heard many complaints from friends about this place not giving full amount of gas. I will be filing complaints to appropriate authorities. read more

This station regularly beats others in the area for cheapest gas. You can pay at the pump with a debit card (it'll cost you an extra $0.35 which in my mind is worth the convenience), or pay cash at the counter. The station is always clean. I've always paid at the pump, so I can't speak to the staff/convenience store inside. read more

Sure, it's a plain ol' ARCO station. Gas prices are cheap, they have a surcharge for using debit, and you can't use credit. All the usual stuff. But I'm just doing my part to add to the directory of places in the world that have the most deliciously textured treat in the world: crunchy ice. Service is terrible here. But gas is super cheap! I've found it anywhere from 20-50¢ cheaper than a lot of the other stations on bellflower and by csulb campus. It's probably one of the first two I always find on gas buddy that is the cheapest in the area. read more

This location is convenient for CSULB students and it is usually the cheaper of the surrounding gasoline places. *Tip: they charge when you use your debit .35 fee and they don't take credit. I suggest if you're a student on campus, or a resident in the area to bring cash with you and use the outside machine. read more

Im not really a fan of Arco gas, but with these high gas prices, I sometimes go here, b/c its the cheapest in the area. But because of that it can get pretty crowded, so be prepared to wait for a pump. Also Arco charges 35 cents went you use your card. read more

There gas prices are extremely low but on any given day, half of their pump handles do not stay engaged and the store is always dirty and littered with bums. Cash machines don't work, so you'll have to go inside. This place is kinda rachet- they don't even bother to fix things when they break down. The staff is reeeaaalllyyy slow, and the owner is kinda rude. Tonight, she held up a line of customers while an employee counted out the cash in his drawer (that should be done in the back office!), and then she yelled at him and reprimanded him in front of all of us and while we were waiting. This place is one of the worst stations I have ever used. The pump malfunctioned so that I had to stand holding the nozzle as lightly as I could so it wouldn't shut off. Which it did, over and over and over again until, after pumping maybe six gallons it had pressurized my gas tank and almost a gallon of gas flowed suddenly out of the intake. I told the manager, who was a relative of the owner (who was there but wouldn't help or take any part in resolving the issues) and asked for a refund for all the gas on the ground. He said I had overfilled. I told him it had malfunctioned. He took the position that his broken pump was my fault. I don't need them. You don't either. There are plenty of good stations around, my gas pumps without all the drama, and these guys don't believe they owe the customers who keep them alive a thing. read more

Their service is awful, their automated pump system is inconvenient and doesn't work right---I had to hold the trigger just right, or it would stop pumping. My hand was a bit sore by the end. Worst of all: FALSE ADVERTISING. I selected premium gas, octane 91, and clearly got something much worse---maybe octane 85. How do I know? My little Smart has a high-performance Mercedes-Benz engine which will knock if it gets anything less than octane 90. And as soon as I pulled away, the engine was knocking all over the place. Horrible service. The guy that works behind the counter in the mornings has, on multiple occasions , had loud phone conversations on a Bluetooth device. I do not know what he is saying as he is speaking another language, but he sounds angry. You can hear these conversations throughout the entire store. This guy also ignores questions you ask him and he doesn't even tell you how much you owe him, just continues his phone call and expects you to find the price on the card reader. He has given me incorrect change before as he is so distracted and didn't want to be bothered to correct it until asked twice; of course he continued the phone call while as he was correcting the change. No eye contact or apology from him, just acted like I was inconveniencing him. I now have to go out of my way to get a coffee in the morning, which is fine because Chevron coffee is better anyway. I gave two stars because the service is better at other times of the day, but avoid in the morning. read more

BEWARE their pump card readers are NOTORIOUS for being tampered with! I attempted to get gas by way of debit card....thought the reader just didn't read my card so I swiped again.... Only to find out hours later of 2 different ATM withdrawals in nearby Anaheim. My bank stated the culprit steals ur card info and makes a fake card with their preferred pin! This Arco has one of the lowest gas prices in the area. I usually get gas at Costco Gas or Arco. Sometimes Arco's gas prices are less than Costco Gas but the downsize with Arco is you need to pay cash. Whereas at Costco you could you your credit card. I think Arco allows you to use your credit card inside to make food purchases because I saw an American Express logo on the front window but I'm not 100% sure. But they definitely won't let you make gas purchases with Visa, MasterCard and etcs. You have to walk inside to pay with cash. Sometimes the pump doesn't allow you to pump gas without holding onto the pump handle. The customer service isn't the best but it never is with Arco. read more

This convenience store is a Joke!! I grabbed a muscle milk, all flavors marked $1.99 and a Belvita bar. I went to pay and the muscle milk was mislabeled and is really $3.49, hhhm ok fine, I understand. The cashier then went to ring up the belvita, ooops, there was no price so she told me to go over and grab a different flavor to get the price. Hhhm ok fine. Then I went to pay with a credit card and they tried to charge me $.95 for the $5.00 transaction. Seriously?? That is extortion. Their fee is no more then 3.8% and fact that they tried to charge me 20% should be illegal. I could have understood if the prices on the both items I purchased were substantially cheaper then other convenience stores, but they weren't! I will never go back! read more
