Le Parisien
Celton M.

Had a lovely Saturday brunch at Tommy! It was freezing outside but really warm inside. Wasn't too busy Saturday morning. Sat down right away. Overall aesthetic was very casual, hipster chic, and fun! Our server was really lovely. All servers were bilingual. Le Parisienne was amazing. Completely surprised by the different mix of flavors, sweet salty and sour. Bae plate really good! There are two gender neutral bathroom stalls.

Coziest little cafe on Rue St-Paul Quest, and the perfect place to stop by on a snowy day. The latte and chicken sandwich were both fantastic, and everyone was so friendly. Can't wait to visit again!

During my last visit to Montreal, I stopped in the other Tommy's location. This time, my apartment was closer to this location. Hands down this is the Tommy's to go to. The place is beautiful and intimate. The service was great too. I placed an order for Lox and my fiancé ordered Le Bene. The bread was unreal! So fluffy and baked to perfection. The portions were on the bigger side and very filling. Absolutely loved this location and will be back again! Highly recommend coming in if you're in the area.

This spot was a few feet away from our hotel in Old Montreal so I decided to pop in for an early morning breakfast. Loved it. I was happy to find a cute spot that passed the vibe test and had some unique menu options. I went with an avocado toast minus the bacon and of course.... the Lucky Charms Latte. Overall it was a great little find. Service was a little slow for me...but as a solo traveler, she may have forgotten me and was taking care of her more demanding tables. In either case, by the time I left this place was packed by both locals and non.

Awesome food off an eclectic menu - check Vibrancy of a busy downtown cafe - check Good music - check Sure, the sticky table is rather vividly stuck in my head but it may have to do with both the age and material of the table vs cleanliness. Coming from Australia, the unavailability of iced water was actually a plus for me also. Service wasn't exceptionally attentive but it was busy and the delicious food made me forget any minor gripe I may have had about the experience. Tommy will definitely be on my mind if I'm around the area again.

If you're looking for an aesthetic breakfast/lunch spot, go to Tommy's cafe in Montreal! It's seriously adorable inside. The staff is super friendly, and their breakfast and lunch? Soo good, the tomato soup is to die for! And I don't normally even like lattes, but the lucky charms latte was so good! Like childhood nostalgia in a cup! You've gotta try it.

Buddha Bowl

Cute cafe, we loved the live plants decorating the space. Busy but quick/attentive service. A couple vegan options (a few more if you remove cheese) but no vegan protein options. We enjoyed the Buddha bowl & Ella avocado toast. The falafel on the toast was a bit dry/tasteless - but the rest of it was perfect!

Came to Tommy for brunch with friends while we were visiting Montreal. Ordered the bagel and lox, which was delicious. Friends ordered the greek avocado toast and the regular avocado toast. All was delicious and highly recommended! Another notable thing is they'll split the bill with no problems!

Fun little cafe with lots of sandwich, toast and other options. Service is very friendly and swift. Nice ambience and view out to the old square. Winner winner chicken sandwich and the stellina(?) Toast were excellent.

Lucky charms latte

We stopped by here TWICE during our trip to Montréal. We had first heard of the cafe because of the Lucky Charms latte and were so glad it met our expectations. DRINKS I had expected it to be too sweet, but it was just right. For the base syrup, you have the option of caramel, hazelnut, or vanilla, and the drink is topped with whipped cream and sprinkled with the cereal in question. It's so simple but so good. FOOD We shared a smoked salmon bagel on sesame and were not impressed. It was kind of languid as the salmon was cool and the bagel hot post-toast, and it just did not mesh well. It was also on the saltier side than I would have liked. AMBIANCE The cafe's a little more towards the rowdier side as people come in to catch up with friends, and it's a hotspot for tourists, but I saw a good number of people coming in here to work/study. If you want it to be a little quieter when working, I'd come in the morning, as post 10am, it starts getting pretty loud.

I adore this little cafe! Best mochachino--rich and flavorful. I had the truffle Benedict--quite possibly life altering it was so good. My son had the spicy tuna sandwich and raved about it. The service was on spot too. Both English and French spoken here.

Excellent brewed coffee and ordered the salmon on bagel with shaved cucumber! It was fabulous! Service was very nice and the restaurant was small , quaint and cozy. Husband had the latte and the omelet and ate every bite on his plate.

A very popular place.

We wondered into Tommy's on our first trip to Montreal. We had to wait on a table but it was only a few minutes. The server was very nice and the food was excellent! We had the chicken and avocado sandwich and salad. We enjoyed the atmosphere and will definitely try it again on a return trip!

Great food. Service was slow and unresponsive to table needs. Walked right in and had a hearty meal.

While the restaurant is highly celebrated and located within a Michelin-recognized hotel building, it does not hold a Michelin star of its own. But it is extremely classy. We decided to do lunch instead of dinner and it was a little more our speed, but if very, very attentive waitstaff is not your thing and $200 for lunch I'd skip this spot. We went because it had reviews for amazing beef Wellington and my husband hadn't had any in decades. And we were on vacation so let's go! The food was beautifully plated and service was impeccable inside of an amazingly decorated dining room that looked like a library in a mansion. The meals themselves weren't obscenely expensive but add a glass a wine, bread (it was not included) and coffee and it put us close to $200. But it was a great experience and I had never had beef Wellington - it was melt in your mouth good. Might go again next time we come up from CT.

This is inside a hotel and the lobby/bathrooms are very nice. Would recommend getting a reservation since there are limited tables and it was busy/full even on a Thursday evening. Came here on our first night in Montreal with 2 other girl friends. To start we all got cocktails and I had gotten the Right Word which has gin Tanqueray, liqueur St-Germain, Lillet, lime. It was a nice cocktail but nothing that special. I was a little disappointed that a fancy place like this did not have any unique cocktails. Most things on there were just basic cocktails you can find just with a different name. For our meal, my friend and I decided to get the beef Wellington and halibut and share as we both wanted the beef but also something lighter vs eating that much beef. Both dishes were very delicious but I didn't think they were amazing for the price you pay. Portions are on the smaller side too. To start, we had also ordered the focaccia bread. It comes out with a mound of butter with the Bar George logo on top and some sea salt crystals on a cute black slate board. The focaccia was fluffy and great, especially with the salted butter. It was nice that they cut up the beef Wellington into 2 parts already as we were sharing. Our other friend got the Lobster Risotto and I have to say hers was the best one of the 3. It has a curry flavor to the sauce and was just so flavorful and unique. The risotto soaks up all the flavor so that you have a delicious bit every time. The beef Wellington was recommended at Medium and it was perfect, Juicy and tender but it could have used a sauce on the side or a better side to bring in some more flavors. The halibut was a bit plain as well and needed a sauce. However, both dishes were still delicious. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. He helped answer any questions we had and gave his recommendations. Overall, a very pleasant experience, but just lacking a bit for me due the upscale vibes and pricing. Would still make a lovely meal if you are visiting Toronto.

On our first visit, Charlotte took wonderful care of us. The menu's ham and cheese option, which looked like a scone, seemed a bit heavy, so I asked if she could offer something lighter. Though a ham and cheese croissant isn't on the menu, she kindly offered to bring me the ingredients so I could make my own. I ordered a plain croissant with capicola, a ham-and-salami-style cold cut, and cheese on the side, then assembled my own sandwich at the table. I was so happy she accommodated me, and the simplicity and quality of the ingredients were perfect alongside one of the best lattes we've had in a very long time. On our second visit, Violet served us with the same warmth. I knew exactly what to ask for, and she delivered just as Charlotte had. We enjoyed great lattes with an extra shot of espresso on the side, and a hot chocolate that our son called one of the best he's ever had. The atmosphere is lively and cozy, with people chatting, warm lighting, and lovely decor. It's a bit tight inside and gets very crowded, but we were lucky to be seated right away both times, and we felt truly blessed as we watched a long line form outside. This is a staple for us, and it will definitely be on our list the next time we're in Old Montreal.

We learned from the Two Gay Expats on YouTube that this was the place to try based on the charismatic chef Michael Tozzi and his renowned ricotta pancakes. Jamie W and I got here late on a weekday morning. Sure enough there was a queue. Dame fortune must've smiled upon us because we moved to the head of the line as a party of two. Even though the threat of rain hung over us, we were seated in the front parklet and quite happily since the dining room inside looked packed. We started with a couple of C$6.25 Iced Maple Lattes because it felt like the Canadian thing to do. They provided a welcome caramel-like sweetness to our refreshment (Photo 9). Jamie was more conscientious about his entree and ordered the C$26.99 Crunchy Sesame Chicken Salad, quite a mound of delights: romaine, cabbage, carrot, celery, shredded chicken breast, cashews, cilantro, fried wontons, and sesame chicken (Photo 8). Both the textures and flavors meshed really well together. Of course you can guess what I ordered, the C$27 Ricotta Pancakes with brown butter maple sauce, lemon cream, and Quebec strawberries (Photo 10). I went a long time ago, back in 2021, and I was so happy to have gone again since they relocated to Old Montreal. The exterior is this new building, but inside, it feels like you're in an old building with rustic textures and colours. The ambiance is so lovely and it truly is the best place for delicious brunch items and taking cute pictures too! My friends and I visited on a Saturday morning without reservations, but we went relatively earlier. We were seated right away for a table of 4 and were served teas and coffee. I ordered the Bone Marrow & Duck Confit which consisted of a country-style bread, duck poached egg, bone marrow, confict duck leg, manchego shavings, herb salted crumble and green peas. It's a massive dish and honestly everything tasted amazing all together. The bone marrow was perfectly cooked and the duck poached egg meld everything together. They also give you another bowl so you can put the marrow once you're done eating it. The bread was needed to soak up every part of this delicious dish. Other items ordered was the Foie Gras (Chef's specialty) which had brioche bread, duck poached egg, caramelized onion compote and crispy proscuitto chips. The chips were a wonderful item to pair with the seared foie gras. The foie gras was perfectly cooked. The Rustic is another fan favourite which had brioche bread, duck poached egg, sautéed mushrooms. pulled pork, potatoes and argula sprouts. it is such a beautiful dish - nice colours, many ingredients and placed well on the plate; not to mention it was so good too! The last item was the Croque Monsieur which has country-style bread, maple-glaed Gaspor acon, confit tomatoes, cheddar, duck sunny side-up egg on an endive salad. You can't pick it up and munch on it, so you know how big this must have been! Even cut into pieces, it requires some maneuvering to munch on it. Great place for brunch. Awesome service too. My goal was to eat as much foe grais as I can on this trip so I ordered the Foie Gras Poached Eggs. OMG starting off with the bread that was on the bottom, it was so soft and fluffy. Literally melted in my mouth. The foie gras had a beautiful sear and was rich and silky, with a texture that honestly reminded me of ice cream. There was also a touch of sweetness in the sauce that cut through the richness in the best way. Every bite was perfectly balanced. I was super impressed and will absolutely try to visit again the next time I'm in Montreal.

The Griffintown location has a really nice outdoor seating area running alongside the building, with blue café tables, big wooden pergolas and planters. Under normal circumstances, this would have been perfect for me. Unfortunately, it was raining. The staff very kindly told Mom and Dad that I could come inside as long as I remained in my carrier.
