We purchased a 20 inch rolling Tommy Bahama with telescoping handle. The suitcase is still in great shape, and we like it, but the handle is broken. We contacted Tommy Bahama and they were unable/unwilling to provide any solutions. They referred us to a NY company, Concept One, and to another company that used to provide customer support. Neither of these has responded to numerous phone calls, messages, emails or web site forms. Tommy Bahama has also not bothered to even reply to our BBB complaint. All we are asking for is a source for a replacement part. We do not wish to throw away a perfectly good suitcase that just needs a replacement handle. This is unfortunately the state of most consumer products sold in the US anymore: Throw it away and buy a new one cause we never intended it to last longer than a brief time!! read more

One of the retailer workers approached me after I handed back a shirt that I wasn't content with and proceeded to inform me of my own size. I was rather content with the shirt, just wasn't sure if I wanted to spend the amount. She had said, "you know, you'd be a small in our store size in case you didn't know. You may even be a small". It wasn't only that I hadn't asked for her input, but her tone left me in a state of discontent. She was some older lady and needless to say, I wasn't a fan of her comment. ** MISLEADING & FALSE ADVERTISEMENT ** / Tommy Bahama mailed me a postcard VIP invitation for 25% on "EVERYTHING" including new arrivals from March 6th - March 15th of 2021. After placing my order on Sunday March 7th, I've noticed some of the items did not receive the discount. I contacted Customer Service and they refused to honor it. They said some items did not qualify for the discount... I wonder what a Judge would think of the word: "EVERYTHING"? :-( read more

I am happy to write this 5-star review for Maranda in Customer Support (Tacoma, Washington). I called Tommy Bahama yesterday to inquire about sizing, possibly making an exchange, possibly canceling my order, possibly adjusting the price of an order I had placed (to match a promo price), and possibly receiving a refund. As convoluted as my call to customer support was, Maranda handled it with grace, patience, and professionalism. She truly listened to me and repeated back to me what she understood me to say. She got it right every time and she made efforts to find the right solution for me. She was reassuring and she made me feel very confident that Tommy Bahama would make things right for me no matter what - not to worry. In a crazy, impatient world, Maranda was a relief to do business with. Tommy Bahama could not have selected a better person to represent the face/voice of Tommy Bahama. Great customer service and excellent selection! The GM of this store is so personable and down to earth that it really makes you want to come back here. Since the remodel this store has really upped its game. The doors are usually open during the day and the place feels like a beach house inviting you so you can imagine that you are somewhere exotic rather than at the shopping center. I love the candles they use here - everything in the store gets enveloped in the scent and it's a comforting smell of vacation and relaxation. You may not know it but Tommy B is a Washington brand - I love that it originated locally! From their beach accessories to their fragrances, swimwear, and home goods, there is something for everyone here. I love to find neat gifts here for friends and family, or the occasional treat yourself item! read more

I have visited both locations of Tommy Bahama in WA due to where I happen to be at the moment that shopping urges happen. This location in U. Village is a little more challenging as it's on the backside (by the new Din Tai Fung and the parking garages there. The reason for the lack of star is the store is so small that the selection is really scaled back (understandable) and it also makes it impossible to get a stroller through the store. I kept running into fixtures or racks or snagging things trying to get my little one to not be stranded on her own. Other than that, the staff was nice and I'm glad to not have to go to the 'eastside' to get some Tommy gear but it could definitely use a remodel in space. read more

I have spent a lot of money at U Village Tommy Bahamas- always thought of it as an upscale store. Last spring I bought my father a birthday present shirt - cost 115.00- shortly after he was diagnosed with cancer. He became very ill and we almost lost him. He has made it through and his birthday shirt which he never wore- has tags still on in is too big for him now. I m rarely in Seattle but this last time in I took my father back to the store to exchange the shirt for one that fit him. After talking to Nicole at the store and explaining about his illness and his inability to make it in early to exchange was curtly told that she couldn't help us because it was past the exchange period and proceeded to walk away from us. While the cost isn't a Gucci price it isn't cheap and and I've spent a lot of money in that store. You'd think there would be a little compassion and understanding in this what I thought an upscale store. Even though I really like their brand I'll never buy another TB item read more

Just had a horrible experience yesterday returning a jacket. The jacket zipper had broken off the jacket. I only wore it a few times before it broke. The return policy resulted in me getting about 60% of the price in the store. I am very disappointed. I usually enjoy going to this store but not sure I will anymore. I would like to live here. Not only does the ambiance exude tropical warmth that instantly transports you to the white sandy beaches of Hawaii, the staff are genuinely cheerful and incredibly helpful, with an air of the laid back island attitude about them that immediately put me at ease. They seem happy to be working together and to be working there, something you rarely see in retail. I'm an introvert and I typically cringe at the thought of having to interact with new humans and make small talks for the sake of making a purchase, but there's something about the sales humans at this Tommy Bahama store that made me feel very comfortable talking to them. Dare I say I even enjoyed talking to them? *gasp* I'd never purchased anything from Tommy Bahama (excluding the cafe/restaurant) until today but after today's visit, I'm definitely coming back! I came here because I heard they started carrying Honolulu Cookie Co. cookies for the holiday. I love those cookies! Sadly they're only available in Hawaii... until now! Walking into the store, I was greeted cheerfully by someone who was clearly on a quad latte. While I immediately spotted the cookies by the register, I couldn't resist being distracted by the cute, tropical themed items neatly and attractively displayed on the tables and shelves. The candles smell amazing and I made a mental note to add them to my Christmas wish list. I left with my cookies and a couple of cologne samples (they have great fragrances that are not too intense, IMO), and also a tin of cookies shipped to my BFF in NY (shipped for free! Not sure if that's just a holiday promo). I wish every retail experience could be like this. read more

I went in here with a plan to buy my son a nice sweater. I was treated rudely by an older gentleman with white hair. He treated me as if I didn't belong. Admittedly I didn't look too stylish or rich but I was planning to spend money there. He didn't seem to like it that I asked if they had the item I wanted in a size large. I like all cotton Hawaiian shirts. Tommy's carries a couple hiding among the silk, rayon, polyester blends, spandex, and linen. There were only two all cotton. I had 25% off to ease the pain, but I can get several at Slusher's Rare Coins in Centralia for the price of one new Tommy. To be sure, they wear well and the pocket doesn't interrupt the pattern. This is about as close to couture as I'ma gonna get. read more
