    Pasta Trio
    Rosuna S.

Located in Montgomery Village in front of the road. Tomatina provides plenty of parking, either on the front or the back. I went on a random weekday and ordered online. They had my food ready pretty quickly. I went inside to pay and using their online service is pretty convenient. I ordered the pasta trio, and it was perfectly cooked. However, the last time I ordered it, the lasagna was missing): but I think it might have been a rush error. I have ordered it other times and it has always come out perfect but this time it was missing something. Nevertheless, the food was still really good. Overall, a place I would get good food at again.

    Apple salad

Food - I enjoyed the apple salad. It was the perfect portion for myself. I loved the slices of apple and the lite dressing. The baked walnuts were a wonderful addition to the salad. It gave it that extra crunch that was so satisfying. Ambiance - it was Tuesday evening so seemed a little quiet but that was nice. I could actually have a nice conversation without having to climb over the table to listen. Service - when we first arrived we had to wait for the host to come. Then we waited for quite some time before anyone came over. Finally though the young lady that did serve us was so pleasant and great personality. She was attentive and accommodating. She made up for the lack of service in the beginning.

If you're going to come here come for happy hour! The appetizers are worth it in my opinion. I really enjoyed the calamari and the bruschetta. I ordered the Alfredo fettuccini with shrimp and it had minimal sauce to be honest and had minimal taste. It wasn't the worst or the best but I wouldn't order again. The service was not that great. My friend ordered the caprese salad and then she didn't realize it came with only cheese and asked the server about it and he told her that's the dish and proceeded to give us the menu to show us he wasn't lying. More than half the time our server was ignoring us. He would avoid our table for whatever reason. When I tried to ask for dessert he pretended he didn't hear me as he was rushing back and forth. He did however tell us he was in a hurry to get home because he had gifts to open.... We ended up not getting dessert and just leaving. Overall I was not impressed. Appetizers definitely worth it! Actual entrees and service not so much. Maybe we just got a bad server who knows. ‍

Mixta Salad and lemon chicken (no pasta-sub the salad)

This is a chain restaurant, and food is pretty consistent. It's not amazing food, but it's not bad! I got the lemon chicken entree, but I substituted the pasta for the mista salad! The lemon chicken is breaded with red spices, and served with a lemon wedge. I would order it again! And I love the mista salad! The service was pretty good too, I came at lunch and they were not too busy. I jumped on the Montgomery Village WiFi after lunch and finished up working.

I've ordered delivery from Tomatina a couple of times and have been very satisfied. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan and the Shrimp Pomodoro, both of which were tasty. Although Chicken Parmesan is historically a favorite dish of mine, the Shrimp Pomodoro stood out as the more memorable dish. We dined in on a Sunday afternoon during Restaurant Week for their three-course lunch menu. The restaurant was fairly empty; maybe one or two other tables were occupied, yet the welcoming service was lukewarm, and we had to request the Restaurant Week menu specifically. The ambiance was casual and family-friendly, with a balance between a cozy neighborhood Italian spot and a polished chain restaurant. While our server was kind and attentive, the pacing was off--our salads and pastas arrived simultaneously, making the meal feel very rushed. Instead of enjoying each course at a comfortable pace, we found ourselves juggling bites, trying to finish our salads before they wilted and our pasta before it cooled. Aside from that, the food and cocktails were excellent. The basil lime cocktail is a new favorite of mine--light, refreshing, and well-balanced. I could easily eat the Mixta Salad every day; it was that good. When deciding between pasta with meat or the Portobello Fettuccine, I'm glad I chose the latter because it was fantastic, and I didn't miss the meat one bit. The Penne Bolognese delivered as well. It was meaty, had tons of cheese, and was flavorful. The tiramisu didn't disappoint, either. As for the garlic rolls, I'm not sure it was worth ordering. It was pretty dry and hard to eat on its own, though the generous portions of marinara and ranch helped make up for it. Overall, it was a decent experience. Although there are better Italian restaurants in the area, I was pleased with what I ordered and will likely return.

The polenta was quite tasty - I liked the crispy crust.

I had a better experience this time here. I was at a luncheon with 20 people and I really appreciated that you can order & pay through your phone. That works nicely with a large party. The service was good. I enjoyed the polenta & a Mediterranean salad. The one very confusing part was the variety of menus. It took awhile to figure out what was actually being served at lunch. I think next I'll try their happy hour as the prices are quite reasonable.

I decided to have my 70th birthday party at this lovely restaurant. I had 20 people and they took the reservation without any down payment. I really appreciated that all they said was to tell them if it changed. The room was nice and cozy and we had a nice long table so we could all set. The staff was absolutely wonderful. They took our orders and brought us our food fairly quickly, considering there are so many of us. I had a salad that had mixed greens, gorgonzola, pickled red onions, candied walnuts, dried cranberries and honey mustard vinaigrette. It was delish I got the half order and was able to take some home. There was so much. The garlic rolls were very tasty also. My friends all had different dishes and everybody. I mean everybody loved what they got. I will definitely be going back to this place I had a great birthday and I want to thank them for that.

Stopped by Tomatina for Restaurant Week and we also happened to stop by just in time for Happy Hour. The service here was amazing, our server was so sweet and helpful! I highly recommend coming for their Happy Hour if you're not looking for too big of a meal. We ordered the Calamari, Meatballs, Bruschetta, and mini pizza! It was SO GOOD. Perfect portions. Everything was savory and had so much flavor. It was honestly better than we expected. As for the main meal we got garlic rolls, roasted salmon, and a tiramisu to go. The garlic rolls were buttery and savory. The roasted salmon however was AMAZING. I will go back just for that. The salmon was cooked perfectly with crispy edges. I didn't know it came with pasta so that was a nice surprise! It paired perfectly with the salmon and the sauce. Everything about our experience here was great. The food and the service were more than I expected. Will definitely be coming here again!

Wowww! This place is amazing! From top to bottom. Their food quality is delightful, the happy hour menu is the cherry on top! Full bar of cocktail drinks and Italian cuisine at its finest. Brick oven pizza is my favorite! Family-friendly restaurant. The service was wonderful, can't wait to bring the whole family back for dinner. Thank you!

    Chicken prosciutto rigatoni

We had a quick trip with some friends of ours for work. We decided to stop here for dinner. We ordered for appetizers the Parmesan bread and the garlic rolls. Both were stellar! My friends ordered a pizza and chicken parm, they loved it! My husband ordered a special for October which was chicken prosciutto rigatoni, he was in heaven. I ordered the lemon chicken that came with Alfredo pasta (I opted to leave out the tomatoes/peas). It was literally one of the best chickens I've ever had, the flavor was insane. Pasta was good too, only thing I wish is that the Alfredo was thicker, it was a little too thin and didn't stick to the pasta well. However it tasted great! We also got the apple crisp dessert and that was awesome too! Service was good and ambiance was peaceful! If we ever come back to Santa Rosa we will be back!

Had the luncheon special sandwich and it was awesome. The sandwich was made from a soft pliable dough and was fresh and warm and so so yummy. The salad with the sandwich was fresh and well mixed with dressing and with a good amount of toppings.

I came here to try their breakfast sandwich, which definitely did not disappoint. I also took home a couple of desserts for later! The service here is really great! The person who helped us when we arrived gave us some great suggestions! I really like the seating here and it feels nice and spacious. The art on the walls adds a nice touch as well! The breakfast sandwich has fried eggs and white cheddar cheese on an English Muffin. First I love the way they fry the eggs. Crispy, but still with a runny yoke. The cheese is melted nicely into this really yummy English muffin that was toasted really nicely. I also added bacon and avocado, which was a delicious touch. It's a very rich, fatty sandwich, so I asked for some hot sauce plus it's served with a side of pickles which helps to cut the richness as well. I took a few desserts home to try later, and I'm glad I did! The gluten free carrot cake is excellent. Very buttery and the texture is amazing. Not very sweet, but that may be what some people like. The gluten free lemon cheesecake had a great flavor and is dense like a NY style cheesecake. Again, also not very sweet, but delicious nonetheless. The Flan was a 10/10 in flavor and sweetness, but a 6/10 in texture. A little too dense for my liking. Overall, I love this place and will be back soon!

Zoftig has expanded into full-blown Choose Your Own Adventure territory: Build Your Own salads, sandwiches, wraps, and bowls, plus a gluten-free dessert lineup that practically begs you to pretend you're being healthy right up until the very end. My dining companion's Ahi Poke bowl was equally impressive, and the roasted sweet potato salad was so good it briefly made me question my life choices up to that point. The chicken -- whether in a salad or a bowl -- was tender, flavorful, and absolutely not what I expected from a place with this many kale options. A word to the wise: show up at noon and you will be humbled. This spot is enormously popular with locals and the lunch-break crowd, and the line will remind you that good food attracts a crowd whether you like it or not. In my case the salad I selected came up with all included ingredients and a note that one item was unavailable. Maybe I was supposed to figure out how to make a substitution at that point, but typically I would ask my server about what would work in its place that they have on hand. In this case it just took my payment and delivered the salad without it. Rosé fairly recently in my last trip. i always order the meatballs a la carte/appetizer. and if I get a salad, unless it is to go, o make it a piadine (wrapped on a pillowly soft yet satisfying outer crunchy garlic flat bread almost naan style). yes, you can cut it in half perfect for sharing. if you get the Caesar, I ask for more anchovies on the side. these are the pickled lightly brined white anchivy filets, much done in the same pickling style as mackerel in sushi restaurants. I love cutting to bits and eating with the salad and the pizza. certain pizzas are great with an egg on top, cracked in the middle cooked whites and runny yolk. if you want to make sure your white is cooked all the way, just ask them to add a couple movies for the egg. and they always serve pizza with fresh pepper flakes and parm. the squid is good. You call them upon arrival and they will bring it out to your car which is awesome. Food was ready when we arrived, fantastic! We ordered the 1/2 bucket with umami fries, side of mac n' cheese, and lots of sauces. The meal comes with pickled veggies, slaw, and 4 Hawaiian rolls with nori butter. It's always disappointing to get your order home from anywhere and find a problem, so spoiler alert that impacts the experience for me. I ordered the fries extra crispy and not only did they come soggy as all get out but they also were lacking the umami salt that's supposed to make them special. Everything else was correct but the fries were a disappointment right out the gate. I seasoned them from my spice rack and popped them under the broiler to crisp up. This helped but if they come out of the fryer not crispy the broiler only does so much. Pickled veggies are good. I always love a pickled carrot. The slaw didn't have much flavor I could discern but I added one of the hot sauces on it and it was tasty. The star of the show, the chicken, was ok. I LOVE fried chicken and eat more of it than I probably should, lol. It was VERY crispy almost too crispy (maybe the chicken was cooked well done instead of my fries?). Since it was so crispy this made the chicken dry. Overall, slightly better than meh but not much. Maybe this isn't a meal that translates to go? If we try it again it'll be in person, even though we are literally only 6 miles away so it's not like it traveled far before we got down on it. Glad we tried it out finally but definitely feeling sad it didn't leave me happier for having checked them out. I'd be remiss if I didn't express how sad I am with how disappointing this meal was overall. Fried chicken usually brings me so much joy alas not today. Oh well I guess. I had higher hopes with all the 4 and 5 star reviews. Maybe we got a bad order but this wasn't a good first showing to make me want to come back and try again. So much sadness.

Here are my thoughts, and yes I am getting into the nitty gritty! Sandwiches- first and foremost the cuts of the chicken they are using are really bizarre, it was in multiple pieces really thin and only covered like 60% of the bun. The bun is decent but texturally could be toasted more. Both The Hot Bird isn't spicy and too sweet in my opinion, there's a lot of the sauce and it makes it a little soggy. The wild bird was good but again the odd chicken piece took away from it. We cut them in half and one of the halves literally only had 1 bit of chicken. Fries-what umami? With a name like that I'm expecting you to punch me in the face with that good earthy robust flavor. This tasted like normal slightly chalky fries. Visually it didn't look like it had anything sprinkled on it. The fries come with pineapple ketchup... or so they say. We definitely got gochujang sauce. Again... meh! I love fried chicken sandos, but it was just okay.

She also let us know that we had arrived just in time for happy hour, so naturally we had to order some drinks and appetizers. We tried both the red and white sangrias, which our waitress had made fresh that day. They were refreshing and hit the spot. To start, we ordered the calamari and shared a Caesar salad. We also enjoyed some of the house focaccia bread. For our entrées, I chose the Lamb Ragu while my wife went with the Pappardelle Bolognese. Everything arrived in a timely manner and came out hot and fresh. The calamari was crispy and well prepared. The focaccia was good, although I would have preferred it served warm. The Caesar salad was flavorful and the perfect size for sharing. The lamb in the Lamb Ragu was cooked perfectly, and the pasta had a great texture and chew. The Pappardelle Bolognese was hearty, meaty, and equally well executed. Portion sizes for both dishes were just right and satisfying without being overwhelming. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and had a pleasant dining experience. My only critique is that both pasta dishes could have used a little more seasoning, particularly salt, to make the flavors pop a bit more. Aside from that, Eddie's delivered a good Italian dinner with friendly service and good value.
