This was a small job to Tomas but important to us and we paid him good money, in good faith. It's been months since his employee hastily applied the sealer to our concrete pad. It's streaked, thinly covered, and looks awful. We called Tomas, he finally responded and came, saw the work his employee had done, and agreed it needs to be redone. He set a time to come back and redo it . No one showed up. We called again, he said he forgot again to schedule it. He said he would schedule it to be redone but, again, no one ever showed up. He was extremely slow to respond and unreliable throughout. We paid him $2,400. for two jobs and he only completed one. We sent him a text and told him it is time to honor his promise to remove and redo the sealer, so we can move on. He never responded. Now, we will have to pay someone else to come and fix his poor work. He did an unacceptable job, acknowledged it, but refused, after being paid, to come back and make it right. Would we hire him again? Absolutely not! read more

Very similar to the below post, unfortunately we had ours done about 11 months ago: Tomas was subcontracted to pour a concrete pad for a sunroom and overhang, front driveway extension, and extend a retaining wall. His crews were sloppy and paid no attention to the general cleanup after each day's work. I work in construction and know what a good job site is, and this was not it! The retaining wall was not straight, and they had to do it again. They left extra concrete slop in our rock bed for us to clean up. The sunroom pad was extremely unlevel and wavy throughout. In addition, he ran out of concrete near the end of the pour and his workers tried to use "set up" concrete to finish the pad. The concrete has been done for 11 months now and has weird patches all over that look like shattered glass with various discolorations. I would highly NOT recommend. read more

Tomas and his crew were quick, fair, and did excellent work! They shaped and poured a beautiful walkway, demoed widened and poured a new driveway, and repaired another portion of concrete for us. We got a simple brush finish and it looks amazing. It only took one day for demo and one day for all the concrete work- it was so fast! He has done other work in our neighborhood and his stamped concrete work looks great too if you need that! Actually our whole neighborhood looks way better now that Tomas and his team has been through here hahaha I hope he does more work around here! If you're gathering quotes I highly recommend, I don't think you're going to find a better value. read more

We hired Tomas to pour a concrete pad for a sun room and a retaining wall. He was given the dimensions from the room contractor and he poured the pad too small. In addition he ran out of concrete near the end of the pour and his workers started demolishing the retaining wall they just built and tried to use "set up" concrete to finish the pad. This resulted in large air voids in the pad. When we told him what the workers had done, he had them cover the voids with some paste that looks even worse than the voids. In addition, he gave us one bid and we signed the contract. At the end of the job he started asking for more money. The concrete has been done for 60 days now and has weird patches that look like shattered glass. I would not recommend. We had to make our room smaller than we wanted because the pad was not built to size. read more

Update: 10/11/22 I needed some more work done--drains, more cement pads, rock landscaping--and once again Tómas and his crew did some awesome work. He gave me another great estimate on a Monday at 11:00 am, his crew was here at 7:00 am the next morning, and the whole job was completed by Saturday...they even put in a full day on the day the temperature hit 116º. I wanted one small change made near the end of the project, and there were no questions or extra charges: he just had his guys do the work. And I have to say it again...you could not find a more courteous group than the crew Tomás had working here. read more

I called to get an estimate for a concrete patio. Tomas came out the same day and gave me a very reasonable estimate. I was ready a few weeks later so I called again to make an appointment to get the patio done. At first Tomas scheduled for a week away, which was fine. Then he called back that evening and said he had a cancellation and could do the job tomorrow. Even better! Tomas designed a nice stamped concrete patio for me, and his crew were courteous and polite. They also did a great job cleaning up. I love my new outdoor space! I hired Tomas to pour approximately 1000 square feet of concrete. The price was reasonable, and work started immediately. During the construction the city inspectors got a complaint from a Rancho Cordova city councilmember about a little known rule that 60 % of the front yard has to be landscaping and my concrete would make it 50 %. I requested that Tomas make changes in design and comply with the ordnance. Tomas performed the work made adjustments and told me he would not change the price as long as I was happy with the work. Tomas's employees were courteous, and also went above and beyond. They cleaned out the drains in the back yard, replanted plants that were within the work area, and cleaned up to where the yard looked like no construction ever had been performed. They replaced all of the driveway and sidewalks on the front of my home and I had them follow it through the side of the back area and wind around to make a patio off of my living room. They did a stamped concrete treatment that looks like european slate and I'm very happy with it. They cleaned up and there was not a spec of concrete dust on anything. I missed an appointment to get his estimate and waited for him. I sent him a message that I would have appreciated a call that he would not be there as he had said he would be. Tomas concrete is awesome. These guys went above and beyond. Today my family had an emergency and the guys were waiting on me to finish laying a schedule 40 water line before they poured the concrete but due to the emergency the water line project was not going to be finished on my end. Tomas workers laid the water line, tested it for efficiency before they laid the concrete. If there was ever a concrete service to recommend Tomas Concrete is the one. Tomas had me send him a text with my address, and I again confirmed the date and time. Waited around my house the entire day as the appointment was in the mid afternoon, and Tomas did not even show up. I texted him again, and he does not even respond back to my message.
