An awful draft pour
Jack C.

One of the great music bars in southeastern PA. Just one problem? While sitting there watching Jersey Transit Authority I noticed that every time a bartender rang up beers nothing fancy just Miller Lite Bud Coors Light they were charging a different price every time $4 $4.50 $5 $5.50 ? Now I know some bars pump up prices when bands play and thats not cool but I could only think the bartenders were building their tips into the drinks? This isn't the first time I've heard this and now witnessed it. Also when I got there 90% of the seats were reserved? Was happy got there early enough to snag seats at the bar but then I got to see this. That sucks you get there an hour early and can't even get a table even though the place is 80% empty. The seat saving is just BS and should be first come first serve. Also the bartenders need to learn how to pour drafts see photo.

I have been coming to this place for great service, good beer, and the best roast beef sandwich in the world for about 20 years now. My sweet beautiful bartender makes me never want to leave, and they really do sell the best roast beef sandwich in the entire world. I lived in south Philly where bars, and restaurants do not survive unless they're good. I was in the military and used to travel the world. This place has stayed consistent for 20 years, and so has Joe Beef's recipe. It was always my first stop when I returned home from a deployment. Please don't ever change.

Very good dive/neighborhood bar. Tuesday afternoon and 7 other people (men) came or left while I was there. The cheesesteak was big, the cheese was melted thru, plenty of bar space to eat, plenty of TV's and it was under $10 but I just can't get excited about it. It was a little bland.

Went in for dinner on a Saturday night. Ordered chicken marsala and Reuben sandwich. Had two drinks…read morethey were okay. The Reuben had burnt homemade chips and wasn't very warm. We asked to replace the chips. By the time they brought it the sandwich was already finished. And then they charged us for the fries even though they burnt the homemade chips. My chicken marsala was warm but not hot. Not even so much as a roll. Overall I would say go to the one in Newtown square stay away from the one in Drexel Hill. They're expensive for what you get and I think the McDonald's would be better deal across the street. That's not saying much good on Casey's restaurant Drexel Hill. But if you're angry at someone good place to recommend they'll have a miserable dinner.

I recently visited Casey's three times for lunch and came away with good experiences on each trip…read more I found parking was easiest in the rear parking lot. It was not crowded at all. I sat at the upstairs bar my first two times. The staff was friendly and there were only a few other people there. The inside was clean and it looked like the staff kept busy cleaning and organizing the place. On my last visit I sat in the downstairs area called the dugout. It had a similar bar to the upstairs with TV's showing sports highlights, but they had music playing. I really liked the old baseball gloves bordering the room. There were way more people coming into the dugout for lunch, so I suppose the upstairs is a quieter choice (for lunch anyway). They had some PA skills games and a PA lottery machine tucked away in a room next to the bar. I had three different servers and they were all super friendly. I loved that they recommended menu items instead of giving the generic "everything's good here", or the dreaded "idk I don't eat anything from here." Top recommendations were any of the burgers, most of the wraps, roast beef sandwich, reuben, crab cake and the turkey sandwiches. The homemade kettle chips were suggested over fries with a side of ranch dip. I had the bacon cheddar burger the first time. It was sizeable and good, but not great. The chips were delicious and although I hate ranch in any form, the girl was right, dipping the chips in it was a good idea. Second go around I had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap - crispy chicken, bleu cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomato and red onion. I added fries instead of chips for $3 and regretted it. The fries were soggy, bleh and certainly not worth the extra charge. Stick with the chips! The wrap was ok, little loose, not as full as most places. The chicken was chopped up and had kick, bleu cheese was complimentary and not overpowering, red onion provided some extra zing. It was an ok to good meal. Third time I went with The Turkey Grill - carved turkey, crispy bacon, roasted red peppers and provolone cheese on grilled sourdough bread. The bread was somewhat toasted and saturated with butter and turkey gravy. The turkey itself was a little dry, the portion size of the sandwich was fine, but it lacked flavor. Chips and pickle spears were appreciated. Looking at the menu for a future visit, I'd probably try the ribs, a cheesesteak or wings. The upper floors have outside seating during the warmer months and that looks like an absolute win for a return trip. Overall, I wasn't blown away by any of the food. Similar/better options can be found not too far, but I can see the appeal of Casey's as a regular neighborhood bar. The various dining options plus full bar - tables, bar seating with TV's, upstairs, downstairs, outside makes it extremely versatile for any occasion. Thanks guys!

I almost thought it was closed, but nope! There wasn't a big crowd, but it was a Monday at 7pm. A bunch of regulars enjoying the space. It was fairly loud with music. Super friendly folks working here. Our server was very sweet and made some recommendations as well as advised the specials for the night. Small hiccup with the beer I was served, but it was wet, so I drank the beer I was given. Ordered up the baked clam special. BBQ sauce and cheese was an odd combination, but actually quite good. I had the mussels and spaghetti for dinner. I asked for the Diavolo sauce, but not sure I received it. The sauce was not spicy at all, but some added red pepper flakes did the trick. The mussels were fantastic and a ton of them too. Spaghetti was cooked well and swimming in sauce. Small loaf of warmed bread for dipping. My wife had a chicken cutlet sandwich and she found it a bit bland if I'm being honest. She dipped her bread in my sauce to give it a bit more flavor. They put on the home run derby which was appreciated. All in all, a fun stop. Not quite sure I'd return unless I needed a place to hang before that next run to PHL. They were very nice and appreciative of the business and we enjoyed our time dining here.

Easy 5 stars for Chickie's & Pete's…read more I had heard from plenty of people before going that this place lives up to the hype as a top-tier sports bar and restaurant, and it absolutely delivered. From the moment I walked in, the energy was exactly what you want, especially with a Philadelphia Phillies game on. It felt like I was part of the crowd, fully locked in with everyone around me. The staff was incredible and really made the whole experience stand out. They were on point, kept everything moving, and added to the overall vibe in a big way. Food-wise, I went all in, wings and a burger, and it hit perfectly. Everything was flavorful, satisfying, and exactly what you want when you're posted up watching a game. This place didn't just meet expectations, it owned its reputation. It honestly left a lasting impression, like one of those experiences that sticks with you. I'll definitely be back many more times.

What an awesome and different Valentine's Day!!! LOVED IT!!!…read more We went to Chickie and Pete's to party with the incomparable JOHNNY LOOCH (dj)! He was awesome as usual - plays "back in the day" great music, free style, some new songs and cool mixes. What a good guy too! Wow! Id never been to this location (just the Marlton one). I was wow'd by how humongous it was!!! There's restaurant side and the bar/dance floor side is accessible through a small walkway. We had a reserved spot upstairs . The tables and padded stools are in these "pod-like" sections. Really neat! We had a great view of the PIGGEDY PACKED dance floor. It was fun texting our photos to the many scrolling TV screens all around. Red is my favorite and it was everywhere! It was decorated for VTD too. (OFC I had to rock a sexy red dress!) My Sir always looks amazing and donned a red velvet blazer! The couple compliments we got were great and appreciated. We ate prior so no crab nachos or crab cakes for me this go round. I met Pete too. Super nice man; dressed well too. "OH WHAT A NIGHT!"
