After shopping around we chose Tom Goldston to replace our roof. The staff are professional and the quality of work is second to none. They cleaned up every bit of trash and nails so we had no concern with our dog running around after. It was a great value overall. Communication hasn't been the greatest and they can be hard to get ahold of. However, the roof work is top notch. read more

It was a dark and stormy Saturday afternoon..... ....When, what to our wondering eyes should appear? .....Rain coming through the back bedroom window and occasional water drops through the ceiling. We wasted no time filing a claim and calling 3 different roofers that folks had recommended. Tom Goldson Roofing was the only contractor that responded (the next business day) and quickly diagnosed the issue, as we learned that this is a common roof issue within the Genoa Lakes subdivision. Even the USAA contracted adjuster knew this roofer and offered high praises. The proposed fix was modest, the cost was reasonable, and they were able to fit us in within a couple days and before the next big rain. We were also under our deductible, but we were happy to pay anyway. The work was detailed, professional, and as evaluated. The scope was in one of our 2 roof "valleys" that can accumulate snow, offer poor drainage, and eventually enter into the house. The next rain seemed to fix the drainage issue, for at least the time we may need to replace the roof or deal with a second valley issue. read more

Absolute pleasure working with this company! Great service and clarity when discussing the options and what to expect. When it came time to get the roof done, it took only two days to finish. The workers were respectful, clean and quick to finish with quality at the forefront of the job. They knew we had a baby in the house and asked us how long they could work so that they wouldn't disturb the afternoon hours of the baby. Definitely recommend! read more

Outstanding!! We had a remarkable quote from Tom Goldston Roofing in comparison to the 4 other estimates we got from other roofing companies. They were accommodating and respectful of our needs. They have a great selection of styles and colors to choose from. The work was completed fast and clean. Denny's crew was awesome. They were polite and they did a great job cleaning up afterwards. Our new roof looks great! We highly recommend Tom Goldston Roofing! The Parra's read more

I hired this company to replace the roof of a two story, 5000 sq ft house . The review ratings of five are legit. As a retired contractor from California, I have subcontracted many other contractors. They are professional from the quote to the completed job. They were very detailed in what they were going to do, and the materials they were going to use. When they finished, they left the property cleaner than when they started. I was very impressed. Their price was comparable to three other companies. I would highly recommend this company to others. read more

Amazing service from when I first met Denny for an estimate, Kai for the signing and Irvin and his crew. I'm a very detailed oriented person and I have not one issue with the job or deal! 100% happy and my home looks great! I see a one star and that seemed odd so I dug in. Seems like the one star is from a career criminal. I came across a few newspaper articles from the Lake that were interesting. Looking at her reviews she only hammered expensive businesses and it looks like it was to scam them for a free service or money back. With that said, make your own choice. read more

Goldston roofing does a great job! Very dependable and high quality. Denny is very organized and easy to work with. Ryan is a great supervisor and knows his job well Our roof was big and complex and had had problems. Ryan identified the problems and made sure that that the new roof would not have any. I can recommend them highly read more

Tom Goldston just put a new roof on my home, could not be happier! Checked for good deals, but found good recommendations let some of the cheaper go. His crew worked in miserable heat for long hours and finished the job in 4 days, as advertised. Cleaned up job site each day when they were done. Great Value! This is a month late but hopefully better late than never. We recently needed our concrete tile roof repaired and the crew from Goldston Roofing did a fantastic job at a reasonable price. The crew worked hard all day, did a great job, and cleaned up everything before they left. I would highly recommend! read more

Goldston put a new roof on my old house in 11/22. Last Saturday night we had over 70 mph winds all night long, the worst that I can ever remember. I woke up and searched my yard for shingles that surly must have blown off. Nope, not a one. The roof still looks perfect. Thank You Tom Goldston Roofing. read more

Tom Goldston Roofing is the best. They scheduled an estimation visit soon after contact, had color samples to choose from and had a line item estimation of the work as well as pricing to us immediately. Even though we were on a long waiting list, we were also put on a list of people that were done on short notice if someone cancelled. We actually got our roof done a little quicker because of that. The materials used are the best on the market. The workmen showed up early in the morning, worked efficiently and were very polite. They kept everything protected on the ground and kept tools rounded up at night. They also cleaned up very well after each day's work. The work didn't take too long even though some extra vents were needed in the roof to meet county code. The head man came a few days after the job was done to inspect it and make sure everything was just right. Roofing isn't going to be inexpensive no matter who you go with. Hiring Tom Goldston Roofing ensures that the work done and the product you get isn't cheap. read more

Denny Goldston and his crew did a great job replacing my roof. They were in and out in 2 days. Were very professional and polite and cleaned up everything afterwards. I'm very happy with the result. read more

Very good crew. Worked all day in the heat, and the clean up was better than when they came.

I have never used any roofers in this area so it is hard to compare this company against others. The only real negative thing was that it took almost a year to get the roof done from the time I signed the contract and put down the deposit. I was told of the timing up front so it wasn't a surprise but would have liked to get it done sooner. They did my house in three days which included one day of just delivering the materials. The new roof looks fantastic! No complaints about anything. Would highly recommend them to anyone needing a new roof. read more

Professional and pleasant from start to finish. Kay helped me choose a color and provided a quick estimate. They were working about 6 months out, but when the time came, I received notification when the install would begin. The foreman has worked for them since 2006, which indicates they are also a good company to work for. The Dad, Tom, retired and the Son, Denny, is now in charge. Very professional and pleasant locally-owned company. Would highly recommend. read more

My Home / Sun Room / Shed needed the roof replaced. I called a total of 4 roofing companies in one day with Tom Goldston Roofing being the last company that I called. Literally, Denny was the only company that answered their phone that day. As for the other three companies, I received a call back from each of them either 3 days later, and one in particular, a week later! Cheers to Denny and his Team for answering their Phone. The work Denny's Team has done was professional, fast, and done right. His Team was punctual and started working right away. The clean up his Team did after the roof was done was exceptional; they left the area cleaner than it was prior to them arriving. I decided to use the Malarkey Legacy Shingles on my home and added Tom Goldston's Lifetime Warranty to the Contract and I feel 100% secure that I made the right decision. Denny's Team and their craftsmanship clearly shows with how great the roof looks on my home / sun room roof / and shed roof. I admire looking at the roof of my home whenever I come home from work. To those looking for a Roofing Company, do not hesitate; call Denny! You won't regret your decision and can rest assured that your roofing needs with be done promptly, professionally, and done right the first time. Thank you Denny to you, and your Team. read more

Wow.....based on the votes for this review doesn't appear this guy has changed his approach much. Once a one star always a one star....

Tom Goldston Roofing just completed the re-roofing job on our home. They removed all the old asphalt roofing material then replaced it with something similar. They added a drip edge along the perimeter and much needed vents. Their employees were very professional and hardworking. Each day they cleaned around the perimeter of the house before they left for the day. The project took 3 days. We are pleased with the results and would definitely recommend them. read more

Do not use this roofer. He is after the big money jobs and does not take care of his established customers. We had to hire another roofing company to take care of issues he should have fixed when he replaced our roof. How this company obtained #1 roofing company in this area is beyond me. I guess my "warranty" is worthless. read more

These guys are quick, friendly and flexible. Great, honest pricing. Couldn't be happier with the end result. The whole process was quick and efficient, and I appreciated the thorough clean up afterwards. Absolutely recommend! read more

You have found your roofer!! Stop searching and give them a call. Seriously, it doesn't get any better than this. Prompt, professional, excellent pricing, superb quality of work - they know what they are doing and the best way to get it done. I have used them for 2 separate roof jobs and they do not disappoint. They are the only roofer I will use (and I have used others). Stop your endless searching and reading reviews. Goldston is your roofing professional so look no further. As an Orthopedic Surgeon I am very OCD about any work done by someone else for me. ( If I could do it myself I would).................no complaints here. read more

Friday February 6, 2015 was a bad day in the Ranchos. We had, what seemed like, hurricane force winds, and my roof did not withstand the onslaught, nor did a significant number of my neighbors. Suddenly everybody needed a roofer, and the hunt began. After doing our research we contacted Tom Goldston Roofing, and Tom was able to stop by the very next day. He showed up on time and gave us an estimate promptly. As we walked the house he was able to, based on his knowledge identify the era of the roof based on the features that it had. It was, for me, like walking with an archeologist, and my sense of confidence in him went through the roof. He was patient with me, as construction is just not my thing. We talked about people that we knew in common, and, again, they were good people, thus we hired him to do the job. Now remember, this was a big storm and there were a lot of people in line in front of me, but, two weeks prior to him working on the house, he called and explained the timeline. There were storms in the area just prior to his installation date, and I was convinced that this would set back his schedule, but it did not. The material was delivered one day, and his crew arrived the next day and did the job quickly and efficiently. Heck, they even swept up after themselves, and they left no evidence that they were even here. They also patched a few other spots that were beyond the scope of the initial work and cleaned up several shingles that had the tenacity to stay on the roof but in a different location. So, if you need your roof repaired, I'd suggest that you give Tom a call, but be patient, as he's still doing jobs related to the storm in February. read more

Called a few roofing company's after the horrible Feb storm. Tom was the only one who answered. He was out the next day for inspection and said a quote would be ready by the next day. My email had the quote as promised. He warned me up front that he was booked solid till July.....as with all other companies with the amount of damage the storm cause. He impressed me and after talking to others who had used him we sealed the deal. He called at the end of July to get started. His crew was professional and quick. They cleaned up after themselves. The roof looks amazing! I highly recommend him! read more

Our new roofing job is complete. Tom Goldston Roofing did an excellent job on it, The first day that they were here they removed the old roofing and installed the new underlayment. They cleaned up the area around the house before they left that evening. The second day they installed the new roofing, skylight, metal drip edge and vents. They started early and finished after 6:30 that evening once again doing a great clean up job. The work was done well and the roof looks great! However, the contractor or the supplier of the roofing shingles rolled over the utility cover on the edge of the property and broke it. They left a wooden pallet to cover the now bare electric and utility lines. When called about it, the company president, Denny Goldston stated that they would get on it right away. Seven weeks later, it has not been repaired and telephone calls, and emails remain unanswered. So, can you count on Tom Goldston Roofing for doing a professional job? read more
