I am a former Lucas County resident.. now living in CT on the east Coast. I frequently return home to Toledo to visit my family and friends, and most importantly to stock up on my favorite Toledo and or Ohio only made items. Keeping business in Toledo and Ohio is extremely important to me.. Even when I order things online or send flowers to someone back home I only use Toledo local business!!! This afternoon I was checking out my FB page and came across a FB posting from an employee at Toledo Lawns... I want to share this posting for the world to see, because this company and employees embodies what compassion, and Karma is all about... As a former Toledo citizen, thank you guys for paying it forward and making this midwest girl living in a east coast world so proud to forever call Toledo my hometown... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Today at McDonalds on Alexis and Lewis a few of Toledo Lawns employees stopped for a quick lunch. As we were waiting in line for our food we noticed an older lady in the corner who appeared to be homeless or maybe down on her luck, or maybe just pushes a cart to the store staring at us. She was eating a meal so she didn't exactly appear to necessary need any food. After a few minutes she approaches one of our employees and asked him about where we got our coats at. She said she really liked them and went on to explain that she walks around town a lot and people sometimes don't always notice her. She told Joe and now Jason Walker who walked over to say hi that it can be dangerous at night along the main roads walking or waiting for the bus. That's when Joe decided to take the coat off his back and place it on this lady. Around this time I looked over and had to take a picture. I am very proud of these guys! Toledo Lawns core values were at work at that moment. Thank you Joe Eide for your act if kindness. I hope that all of our employees and friends take time when needed to help another in need. I recently hurt my back and was unable to mow my lawn. I normally love doing it on my own and I take great pride in a job well done. Toledo Lawns came out and did such a terrific job it actually looked better than when I do it myself! Corey and the rest of the crew were extremely friendly and very professional. Everything was edged and cleaned up and my neighbors even commented on a job well done! I told my wife last night that I enjoy mowing the lawn myself....but I could get use to this!!! I highly recommend Toledo Lawns...couldn't be a better group of guys in the business!
