We recently picked up an order to go and were not disappointed! We had a few hibachi dinners and the portions are quite large - see the pics! The dinners each came with their own side salad and soup. The steak was soo delicious but the soup was my absolute favorite. Very brothy but not too salty. I love that they gave us a lot of noodles but they were not my favorite and seemed a little heavy. Would be great to have lighter noodles or more rice in place of them. Overall we enjoyed our meal (and got more than 1 meal of out of each dinner) and would try this place again.

This was our second time here as a family for my sister in law's birthday and we all really enjoyed it. The service is awesome and the atmosphere is nice. Food is incredible. I've had their golden lobster, steak(filet mignon), golden shrimp, spicy garlic shrimp, and chicken. All hibachi grills I've been to offer the soup, salad, rice, and vegetables with the dinner. Tokyo Steakhouse includes noodles with the meal as well! It's a lot of food! I've noticed a lot of people come here to celebrate birthdays(just like we do). It's a great place for it! Highly recommend!

I am glad this restaurant opened during COVID time. My family and I are happy to celebrate my nephew Confirmation at this location. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is cleaned and organized. The foods were delicious and yummy. We loved the appetizer They were fresh and newly made. The restaurant only serves dinner during COVID-19 time. We will definitely come back again

Food is good although a bit pricey. Ordered carryout, took 20 minutes longer than was promised.

Experience was fun, food was good. I wish the restaurant was cleaner & did not try to squish so many people on one table/flattop.

The sushi is incredibly fresh, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. Every bite tastes high quality, and you can tell they take pride in what they serve. The presentation is top tier, and the menu has a great variety whether you're into classic rolls or something more unique. On top of that, the service is excellent--friendly, fast, and welcoming. The atmosphere is clean, comfortable, and perfect for both a casual meal or a nice night out. Overall, an amazing experience all around. I'll definitely be coming back again and again.

When greeted, staff was rude. When seated and told we had to sit at the end of the table, even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. We did not sit there ,we moved to the middle of the table, so my daughter could enjoy the chef and the show they put on. Waiting about 7-10 mins,we still hadn't even been asked about drinks. At this point,my lady is very upset, and rightfully so. She said let's get up and leave ! I agreed, based on the experience so far,I had reason to stay a minute more. We got up and left, walked out the door, and will never return !!!! No wonder this place was empty when we got there, and still empty when we left. I hope a manager reach's out after reading this,so I can give him an earful of" you fucking idiots, treating costumers like this", I hope this place goals out of business, and will do everything I can to help that happen!!! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS !!!

We had a great dinner at Kyoto this past weekend!…read more We were visiting the area for sports tournament and were unfamiliar with the area. After a long day outside, my kiddo asked to go to a teppanyaki restaurant (very niche request, but thank goodness for the Yelp app!) We were thrilled to be able to walk-in and the host was able to squeeze us in at the grill table (which was SO kind of her). We sat with some lovely families at the shared hot-top table and enjoyed our dinner immensely - the food was ok, the chef's presentation was good, and I don't think I have seen my kiddos eat so many veggies ever which may be due to the combo of those two. We got the full chef's presentation that you see at other hot top grill restaurants: spinning egg, onion volcano, tossing of the broccoli to the guests, my kids absolutely loved every second. The restaurant was clean and well run, the servers were attentive and kind, even when my youngest kiddo dropped her drink and it spilled on the floor. I couldn't have been more grateful for their kindness and hospitality: from getting us into the restaurant as a walk-in diner, their wonderful service during the meal, and the good dinner. Eating with 2 young kiddos is always a questionable experience as a parent but I have to say, I enjoyed the meal! If we are in Hoffman Estates, we will definitely go back!

There's also discrepancy in their menu and what they actually have available as it seems they also display items for the the cafe next door. We happened to arrive during happy hour so some menu items were discounted. They also have a complimentary salad bar. We ordered chicken karaage, potstickers, salmon avocado sushi, and I had the katsu sandwich. All the food items we ordered came separately over a span of 20+ minutes, with the sandwich arriving last and cold. Not only did the sandwich come on a cold sourdough bread, the meat also had an unusual texture and so I ended up throwing it out. The other items we ordered were lacking in flavor. The chicken karaage was prepared well but it had no flavor. I'm regret spending money at this establishment.

If customers are waiting before the restaurant opens, you know that you are in for a treat, right?…read moreI mean, this was our first time to Uma Japan Eatery (didn't know it was formerly Ramen USA) and we were a little confused when we arrived because there was signage for Uma, Ramen USA, and M Cafe. So we got out of the car and saw someone pull up in front of the restaurant and jump out at 11:59. As soon as the door was unlocked at 12pm, this customer went in, and a few others after them. This is a small joint, and it was already half full by the time we ordered, then sat down (they told us the table at which to sit). I didn't know, but asked, and found out that a salad bar and miso soup are also included. The salad bar was pretty decent, with fresh vegs. They even had French fried onions (my guilty pleasure) and a very good House dressing (ginger vinaigrette). The portions are enormous. The couple next to us got ramen, and it was practically overflowing. We ordered takoyaki (too much food, we didn't need). I had the Pork Katsu bowl and my companion had a Katsu curry. I wished I had ordered the curry -- it looked dark and rich and thick like pudding (not like a boxed curry). They also gave us a bonus piece of chicken karaage which was so large and crispy. I think I'll get the curry next time, or the ramen. We originally came because we were going to get a karaage sando, but get the curry.
