Tokyo House is one of my favorite lunch spots! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and high quality. Their lunch specials are an incredible value with generous portions and excellent service every time I visit. The sushi is consistently fresh, and the menu offers something for everyone. Okay guys. Anyone giving this place more than 3 stars is lying. We went here on a Friday late afternoon and it was pretty busy. Which looking back is a surprise. 1. Do not order the miso soup. It's bland. 2. Do not order the salad. The dressing isn't on par with a sushi restaurant. 3. The edamame were over boiled. 4. The chopsticks were from like Panda Express. Get better ones. I swear I'm not picky but if we're spending almost $100 at a restaurant just make us feel like we got our moneys worth. Please. read more

Horrible. Took a few minutes to get seated and she was looking around. We were a party of 2. There were 10 tables open. We got sat down and we ordered our waters. Zander came back shortly and we placed appetizer for tempura. 2 different times there was food placed on our table that we did not order. We told zander that we did not order this and he gave it to the correct table next to us. This happened also to the table next to us. We ordered our entrees expecting to have our appetizer before we got the a main course. Few minutes later my husband received his food and I receive my crab salad. Waited a little longer and no appetizer He came and apologized again for the wait in the appetizer. Asked if we still wanted it, we were already midway in the main course. We no longer wanted it. My husband liked his food. 6/10 His combo rice tasted ok, the shrimp was too fishy smelling for my taste. My crab salad tasted like I was eating sawdust, little to none of the crab and cucumber. Too much of the crunch was unbearable to eat without water breaks. I didn't finish it. Will not be back. Too crowded. And prices are insane, when the food is not even that good or high quality. TL;DR - Sushi restaurant for those who have never had sushi or don't eat it regularly. Awesome to have this as a change of pace from the fast food offerings in the area. We were excited to see Tokyo House open in Aubrey/Crossroads. There is not much in the way of "sit down" restaurants near us - mostly just fast food which we really don't eat at that often. When we saw a sushi restaurant was coming we were very happy. We LOVE sushi.There is another Tokyo House in Princeton but we've never been to it - we just drive passed it regularly when we go visit family in that area; so really didn't know what to expect. The restaurant dining area was clean and the tables were spaced out nicely - you didn't feel like you were sitting on top of each other even when they got busy. Our server, Laila, was really great - she knew exactly when to check on us and was attentive and seemed to just appear when we needed something (refills, etc) - she had to of been inconspicuously watching from across the room. We haven't had that type of customer service in ages!!! It made our dining experience so relaxing. I'm sure we will be back because of the service and because there really is not that much variety in cuisine in our immediate area. We were disappointed in the menu offerings, though. We LOVE sushi and we are adventurous eaters, so the menu consisting of more than 50% (probably close to 65-75%) cooked items was a bit of a let down. This place is brand new in the Aubrey area. We don't have many options so it's a really great add to the area. We arrived on a Friday night during prime dinner time. The wait was a bit extensive (~30 min) but the staff was all very friendly and moved with purpose. Ahí tuna tower- 3/5. It was missing sauce and was too avocado forward. I think they could have added crunchy onion or something to give it another texture. Temptation roll-3/5 not enough sauce and usually temptation rolls have crab meat on top with all the different sauces. Fried rice- 3/5 bland and was missing some oomph Noodles- 4/5 good taste and was a decent amount of noodles. Sake- 5/5 hard to mess this up :) Overall, for the price, I think we paid $75 including the tip, it's super affordable especially for sushi. I hope once they work out the kinks it will be even better. I'm super picky so for me it's a solid 3/5 but I think for the general population they will love this place and go back time after time. read more

We made a reservation for 5pm on Mother's Day and they didn't have a table ready for us, so we waited in the very small waiting area. That was probs the worst part of the visit and we only had to wait 10ish mins so not too bad lol it was just hard bc people were walking around us since there were other people waiting also. Now onto the food- delish, we got miso and onion soup- both were delish and flavorful, we got edamame and crab Rangoon - hard to mess those up. The denton roll was good! Now the noodles.. amazing! It needed a little more charred flavor (like a hibachi) and some salt but they do have that on the table so no problem. Didn't think hibachi could taste good without the show but I appreciated not getting shrimp thrown at my face lol read more

My husband and I tried Tokyo House for the first time after they recently opened in our area. We were seated right away, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The food did take a little while to come out, but they were pretty busy and we didn't mind waiting. The restaurant itself was very clean and had a really nice atmosphere. The sushi and other food we ordered were tasty and fresh. The pricing was a little higher than we personally prefer, but we also tend to compare sushi restaurants to our favorite spot back home. Overall, we had a good experience and would definitely come back again! read more

So hubby and I decided to try this place out and it was a hit! I had "The Lion King" roll and it was creamy. Hubby had "The Avengers" roll and he enjoyed it. We also got the cheesecake tempura and it was delicious. We will be back to try something different! read more

We stopped by to check the hours of operation because we were out looking for a place to celebrate for my birthday dinner. Saw the soft opening sign. Thought to myself: great! Brand new spot! Gotta check it out! The food was amazing! My favorite dessert that you have to try is the cheesecake tempura! My favorite salad is the cucumber seaweed salad. My favorite appetizer is the sashimi platter. My favorite dinner entree is the New York strip steak and shrimp! Affordable and quality service! I was surprised with the birthday song they sang and one of the chefs played the drum!! I felt like we were in Tokyo! We will come back and become regulars as we live in the area. read more

Excellent hibachi without the show. Get a quick excellent dinner without the cost and time needed for the full show. Wife and I had the filet and chicken. Excellent! Both were super tender with good flavor. Rice was good. Veggies were a little light in my opinion but fresh. The peanut dressing on the salad was not the best that I have had but not terrible either. We did not try either soup option. We also ordered an Awesome Roll and it was delicious! Highly recommend the hibachi and the sushi. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. We arrived a little before 5p and by 5:15 it was pretty full with more people coming in. Definitely worth a try. read more

Was excited for this place. Food is just okay, but the service is always super slow. Each time I've visited I've ordered sushi and stir fry at the same time and the sushi doesn't arrive until I'm almost done with the entree which is confusing. Last time I was there I asked for a table of 1 in a nearly empty restaurant and the hostess asked me to wait. 5 min later a family of 4 walks in, a manager goes straight to them and gets them a table which left me still standing there. We had an amazing time at the sushi bar! They were super busy but it didn't affect our service at all, the food is wonderful! Probably the best sushi we've had in a long time and we were so surprised at the low price for rolls. We tried the peach saki and got a second bottle.
