This place was small but we enjoyed our food. We got steak and chicken hibachi. Fried rice was included for both with veggies. Also came with miss soup and salad for lunch. I loved the steak, it was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The rice had a good flavor to it too and even had corn, carrots and peas in it. The sauce was different than what you'd get at Sake, less sweet but this one almost had a smoky flavor? I don't know what was added to it but it was great with the rice. Chicken was just okay but I'll definitely get the steak again. There is more chicken given in the lunch portion than there is steak though. The Boba milkshake I got was very good and very sweet. The other great part was the service. Seriously meeting nice waitresses and waiters lately. I forget her name but she was helpful and super friendly. I saw her taking drive up orders and she was great with that too. I love that there's a drive up pick up option too. The menu had a lot of choices and I'll be going back fir sure.
One of the reasons that we love Yelp it's to discover new and yummy places. This was our second time in here in the past month. I'm glad that people posted to not let the outside intimidate you and they were so right. Once you enter, the place is so cozy, clean and pretty. The service was great and so was the food. They also brought us a free appetizer that was yummy. Their miso soup is one of the best I ever had. We had the chicken hibachi and the Dancing dinosaur roll. We will be regulars.
Decided to try this place shortly after they opened and it was definitely worth it. The wait time was minimal, the food was delicious and fresh. The staff was very kind and friendly. I would come back for sure!
Tokyo is my favorite sushi spot in all of Dayton! I've been here several times as you can see from the pictures I've uploaded. I always get the white tuna sashimi, and two rolls. I've been here so much that I've started marking off the rolls i've tried on a to-go menu I have saved.
Passing through and staying at the AFB FamCamp, we went for sushi here. Very nice, small place. Server was great and had an Alaskan Roll, rainbow roll, California roll and tuna roll. All were very fresh and good! Hubby said the Alaskan roll could have more salmon. I had a yummy pot of hot jasmine tea. All the prices were very reasonable which is iffy with a lot of sushi res.
I've been in the area on and off and have looked to try this place. I was working at the Dunkin next to it so figured why not. At first, glance coming in, I wasn't sure what to expect because there wasn't a set theme to the ambiance. I noticed a fair enough of Thai dishes as well as Japanese dishes so I figured I'd go Japanese since the name is "Tokyo". I tried the teppanyaki (chicken) and the green Godzilla roll. The teppanyaki was actually pretty good, the sauce had a strong sugar base to it I suppose it was a teriyaki. The chicken could have been seasoned well prior to grilling it was a bit bland but with the sauce, it was saved in my eyes at least. The Sushi came out I was a bit confused about the overall look of it but I realized it was shaped like Godzilla. They were not your rice wrapped version but had an outer layer I couldn't quite figure out. Anyhow the overall flavor was pretty good I couldn't figure out if the rice was done right or not so I ordered a nigiri for the sole purpose of testing the rice and in fact it was vinegared - I couldn't get that feel from the rolled sushi but they did a good job on the Nigiri. The staff was very friendly (actually more friendly than the owner), they gave me a fried gyoza app on the house. I tried to ask a few questions to one of the owners but she ran off before I could. Altogether it was an ok experience with the sushi, it didn't do it for me but I will return to try the Thai dishes.
Looking for some curry we stopped off here. They didn't appear to have Japanese curry on the menu so I ordered the Thai Red Curry, level 10. The curry had great flavor and tons of veggies but the spice was more like a level 4 or 5 (I eat SPICY food). The beer was cold and the gyoza was good. I'll be back to try other menu items. Staff was friendly also.
The primary business of this place must be takeout, in which case this was prepared well because the commute time would have soaked up the liquid 'soup' of this dish. Also, they are using a non-fishy version of their fish sauce, which I find lacks flavor. Was some sort of thin spice-sauce that reminded me of Crystal hot sauce in consistency, but not taste. I felt that those choices left the dish lacking Overall, solid 6 experience.

I found this on yelp. It was pretty good actually. I'm always on the hunt for a good sushi place. They don't have a large variety of rolls but I made due. The place is small, and it was empty when we got in but filled up pretty quick. There seems to a lot of regulars that come in. The service was good. They were attentive. I had the Thai iced tea boba and loved it. The sushi was good. My son loved his udon noodle stir fry. Apparently he wants to come back. They gave us complimentary miso soup and an appetizer. read more

Prices are fair , for a party of five we paid $60 including tips We will definitely come back when Dayton call us again read more

My husband and I discovered this wonderful restaurant after a doctors appointment. I had the sea weed salad and my husband had the squid salad I had tuna platter sushi lunch and my husband had the yellow curry with tofu and chicken. This was the best curry he has ever had. The wait staff was wonderful. Saw that I was chilled and immediately got a heater out for us. They presented us with A small free appetizer on the house. They brought me a piece of fresh fluke on the house. Can't wait to return to this restaurant. We will make another trip. Well worth the 30 minute drive. read more
Hubby and I had ordered carryout from Tokyo several times, but went inside for the first time this weekend. We arrived at about 5 and there was nobody there yet. We were immediately greeted and told to sit where we'd like. The interior was professional looking and comfortable. We looked a a big professional looking menu while our waitress took our drink order. I decided to try the Tom Khi Gai soup which I'd never had before and hubby ordered a starter of the shrimp dumplings. While we tried our appetizers, and I was falling in love with the flavorful spicy umami soup, the chef brought out a free appetizer as a thank you for being loyal carryout customer! We both ordered sushi for dinner. He ordered a special roll and I ordered some of the hand rolls. We also ended up ordering dessert. He tried the red bean mochi and I had the deep fried oreos that came with green tea ice cream, which if you follow my reviews regularly, you know I can't have, but hubby was happy to help. Service was above and beyond, with two employees frequently checking on us and asking us how we liked things. Definitely the best sushi in town, and the service was amazing! We won't go anywhere else again ! read more

This new restaurant use to be Pearl Bay, but its now a sushi, hibachi, and Thai restaurant now. Just went to get some sushi to go and it does not taste bad. I got the regular shrimp tempura sushi and it tastes really good. The inside looks like it still has some old pearl bay decorations and is kinda tacky inside. The food is good though and the wait wasn't to long for carryout. read more

My girls and I really wanted to love this place. We were so excited when we heard about it. The dining room is nice and we were pointed to a table right away. After sitting down it took more than 5 minutes before someone came to talk to us and give us menus. Two of my girls were brought water in plastic to go cups and me and my oldest were brought glasses. Our drink orders were never officially taken. We had our menu for a long time before the waitress came to ask if we were ready. I ordered a cup of Tom kha gai ($4.95), tofu pad Thai ($9.95), pinky boy roll ($12.95), fire dragon roll ($12.95) and a Thai tea with boba ($3.50). The Thai tea with boba was small and had very little boba. Certainly not worth the $$ and the tea to milk ratio was off. The Tom kha gai came next and it was surprisingly a huge bowl!! I asked her to bring smaller bowls so that I could distribute it among my girls. Originally it was just for me but I was glad I could share it. There wasn't enough coconut milk in it so the taste was off and it was a little too bland. The tofu pad Thai came next--immediately I could tell it was different. I split the plate between the four of us and for the first time EVER we did not finish it...it was terrible. We all agreed that it had a BBQ sauce taste to it. Lastly the sushi rolls arrived--they were not impressive. I took pictures of everything which I will share here. I also want to clarify when I say things are terrible or not good here it is in comparison to other restaurants with the same dish. I also want to add that I'm originally from Taiwan and I lived in Thailand for a short time so I'm pretty comfortable with my knowledge of these items. Sorry....but way better places that we will continue to go to in the future. read more

Really impressed with the food served! We had the hibachi lunch and really enjoyed it. Inside it was very nice and calming not what you would expect considering it used to be a lee's chicken. We will definitely be back! read more

A true gem for Asian cuisine! Very authentic Thai, Japanese, & Chinese dishes! Their sushi is so fresh & good! With Flying Tiger going out of business, this place hits the spot! Their plating is gorgeous & the service is fantastic! The owner and employees are from New York, I'm glad they chose Fairborn, Ohio! Must try, they're working on a deal with Uber Eats & Door Dash but it's too pricy for them early on. Support local delicious restaurants! read more

This place has the best sushi within a 60-mile radius BY FAR! The chef was so incredibly welcoming and talented. Great service, lovely atmosphere. The vegetarian menu is extensive, too. We loved it and can't wait to come back! read more
