We noticed a Grand Opening sign on this restaurant and decided to give it a shot. It was a pleasant surprise to see a good number of tables with customers at them - a good sign I thought. Employees were very friendly and observed masking guidelines, so more points for that. We ordered a combo tempura plate, the Ga Fun roll and a tonkotsu ramen. The tempura tasted good but was a bit on the heavy side. Normally tempura is very light. This version was just okay for me but my wife liked it. The roll was very tasty with a nice spicy sauce on top. The flavors were quite nice overall. The ramen was also quite enjoyable but I was surprised by the spinach in it. It's listed on the menu so I knew it was coming but it still was a surprise, but not a bad one. The broth was really very good. The egg was a bit on the well done side, which didn't bother me. We found it to be a good value and we're planning to return and try some more stuff! read more

So I'm currently here on a Thursday afternoon, just randomly chose this spot ( I like trying ramen/sushi/etc. at various places and new places, I love this place. As soon as I walk in I am greeted with a genuine smile, everyone here even the kitchen staff, are so nice and really want to make sure your food is the way you want it. They check in on you quite a bit, which I love. The bathrooms are VERY clean and smell clean. Floors are clean, tables as well as the hostesses desktop/cashier and where you're able to see into the kitchen, from what I can see it's a pretty clean kitchen. I am very satisfied with the food, service and the whole vibe. 10/10 recommend any time of the day and day of the week. Thank you guys! Ps. Worked a REALLY long day and got off super late. Driving home an overwhelming craving for sushi came over me. As soon as I got home, I went to Yelp to see what was close to me. I read SO many great reviews for this place that I thought I'd be missing out if I didn't try it. I was way too tired to actually leave my house to order so I went through door dash. I will admit that I get a little weary about door dashing sushi but the day just called for it. My order arrived with decent timing and when I tried my sushi rolls, INSTANT satisfaction. All the reviews are spot on. The rolls are SO good. Averagely priced with excellent taste. The fish is good and I love the sauces they use to top. Just delicious. I tried two of them and now I need to go and try other things on the menu. Yum...just yummm!! Oh!! For those who order on door dash, if you get the sides of sushi sauce they are much bigger than I expected. Tried Tokyo Express last week with a friend and it was super good! I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Noodles & some Spring Rolls. My friend ordered the Teriyaki Chicken plate which came with White Rice/Iceberg salad & the Cucumber Salad. The food was delicious, the restaurant was very clean. The young man who took our order was very nice. The reason for four stars is that they don't offer any lunch specials. The portions are large so we had plenty to take home for leftovers but a lunch special combo plate would be awesome! read more

I have been twice with three people each time. We ordered a variety of items so we could all try things. The sushi rolls were delicious. The miso ramen was absolutely stuffed with meat and veggies, so well worth it. The tempura veggies had a light and crispy batter. The spicy garlic edamame were so addictive. But, the best part was the spicy Korean fried chicken! Damn, that's good! Both times the waiter was nice and the chef came out to say hello. On our second visit, he brought us out a complimentary salad of wakame, pickled cucumber, and ahi tuna - yum! I foresee many more visits here! read more

Discovered us on the local Facebook page had seen it for about a year the signage isn't that great, and it doesn't look like the best restaurant from the outside. But from the inside, it's legit. The food, the menu, the customer service, and the pricing is all stellar. This area is really close to my house so I love trying new food places that pop up around here. They have so many food options that anybody you bring here will have at least one thing they will like! We ended up at Tokyo Express when we found Shogun was closed (forever?). The restaurant is clean and comfortable with tables and booths. Service was nice and the menu extensive. We ordered a Rainbow Roll and Green Dragon Roll as well as vegetable yaki and Thai chicken. The presentation was terrific (see photo)! The rolls were short of excellent because the seaweed wrap was tough (I hate that!). My husband enjoyed the generous serving of Thai chicken very much.
