Great little restaurant that has pretty good Japanese food. Basically there are a variety of appetizers, few types of ramen, cool dogs (Japanese hotdogs), and sushi/sashimi. The interior is pretty cozy and small. My husband ordered a tonkotsu ramen and I ordered the chefs choice sushi and seaweed salad (can't go wrong with this! So tasty!). After we ordered, the one and only waitress came by with two pieces of gyoza as complimentary - it was delicious! It looks like only one person cooks everything because the rest of the food took a while to come out. My husband got his ramen fairly quickly while it took quite a bit for my sushi platter. The ramen was pretty good, the broth was tasty with a hint of sweetness. The noodle was too firm for my liking, but there was a whole egg in the bowl which was nice! My sushi platter finally came out and I was pleasantly surprised. The fish tasted pretty fresh. The prices are pretty decent for everything and the service was pretty good. I can't imagine how it may be if the restaurant was full though with the one waitress and chef. I would probably return here! read more

The place is located in a shopping center behind a few businesses off of Louetta once you go down the small hill it's right in front of you . It's tiny and quaint very adorable I. My opinion but not a lot of seating space I assume that's why you have the wait sign . When I arrived my food was brought straight up to me and was correct . The salmon melted in my mouth the surf clam was very yummy as well as the sweet shrimp . The service was nice and efficient I believe I will definitely be returning here again . read more

Hands down THE BEST ramen I have had in TX so far. Their broth is rich, creamy, umami, everything ramen broth should be. They don't skimp on the amount of noodles you get either. The egg is always perfect and the chashu is incredible. Go for their happy hour and have the fried cheese sticks, they're mini cream cheese spring rolls and will definitely get you appetized. We had to wait an hr to get our food because the waiter is working by himself which I blame his boss for. His boss shouldn't have left him alone on a Friday night when it gets super busy and he was running around I can definitely tell he was very overwhelmed. Overall I believe he did his best! Our usual sushi place wasn't taking the necessary pandemic precautions as we were hoping for so we were on the hunt for a new place. Toki had great reviews so we ordered to go dinner tonight. This place is adorable and so quaint. I love the "hole in the wall" vibe to it. The staff who was helping was very kind and patient as I annoyingly went through the menu while ordering (I know, obnoxious). She answered questions and was so nice when I arrived to pick up the meal. She was wearing a mask and they have people wait to be seated. We ordered 5 sushi rolls, miso soup, and their cheese rolls. The sushi rolls were delicious, the soup was amazing, and the cheese rolls were unique and tasted so good. We will officially make this our new sushi place and am glad we found it. I came here on a Tuesday night I went around 7:45 and it thank goodness me and my brother came just in time to find seats. It's small but the food is brilliant. I had the tonkotsu ramen and my brother had a miso ramen. And it was the best ramen other then 3 little pigs lol Their gyoza is also good for an appetizer and for dessert we had green tea mochi. They have other flavors of mochi but the green tea flavor is the best in my opinion. I gave it a 5/5 because even though it small and it looks a bit shady it's a good place to eat ramen. read more

This is my second visit at this place. For my appetizer I ordered the pepper tuna and the display was beautiful, but simple; taste wasn't fresh. I don't recommend getting sushi here because it's not fresh and the taste is ok? I got sick from eating it. Got myself the spicy tonkotsu ramen and it was even spicy, it was decent, I wish the broth was less salty and more richness like it's supposed to. This is the coolest Japanese place outside of Japan. I know, because I've been! My wife and I come here for our perfect fix of ramen. The broth is perfect, the portions are just right, and I could have six of their dogs and still crave more! The people that operate the business are extremely friendly, and always helpful. They never rush you to order, or to finish and leave. My drink wether it is saki, or ice water never means a difference in service. The atmosphere has a charm all its own. Ya know, for a north side establishment not far from home when you're having a ramen craving--this place is always on point. Broth has depth of flavor the way it should be when marrow is simmered for hours. It's not "flat" or simple like some ramen broths I've had. Bowls are large and you won't leave here hungry. Staff super nice as well and although it's small the atmosphere inside is pleasant and inviting. They also roll sushi and have a small selection of alcohol--sake and beer. I get the Kirin for $4. Edamame is nothing fancy, just steamed with salt. I prefer my edamame dressed up with garlic and spices. It's in the middle of a strip mall center behind a bunch of fast food places so it's easy to not notice it, but my god. If I'm in the mood for ramen without breaking the bank, this is the place I go. What a great find after a stressful day?!!!! I'm on a ramen addiction and this was definitely a great fix! This place is hidden in a small strip center with a tiny sign. If you're not looking, you'll pass it up. When I walked in the place was empty. I must've brought the rush because it got fairly busy soon after. Had a great experience over the weekend at this delectable establishment. It's a cozy place with nigiri sushi done right, and with extreme care. Couple of friends also got ramen which came out as expected. Deep umami flavor based, with thin noodles that soaks up the right amount of broth as you bring it up from the bowl.
