We adored the ramen spots of West LA several years ago when our toddler was a voracious lover of ramen and we've found Token Ramen to be an excellent new spot in town. It was a total of waste of money and time. literally had two bites of our ramen and left. I can only speak for Kung Fu Tea since I have yet to try their ramen/food. I have always been a fan of theirs and this location did not disappoint! Their boba is the best I have had so far, soft but not too soft with that brown sugar sweetness that I love. It's so good that I went twice in a week haha! I've been going to Kung Fu Tea locations for awhile now so I was super excited when I found out this location is on Dale Mabry in the Tampa area. Also, super excited that this Kung Fu Tea location is partnered up with Token Ramen. I've noticed that the Kung Fu Tea locations in Hillsborough County are partnered with Token Ramen which is awesome because not only can I get yummy Asian food, like their gourmet ramen noodle soup and hibachi, but I can also order their addicting boba tea drinks all in one place! My favorite appetizer to order is their Ninja Chicken Nuggets (Asian style, like karrage). My favorite ramen is their Miso Tonkotsu - love this option because it isn't spicy but if you do love spicy ramen, they have that option too! My favorite Hibachi is their shrimp and beef one. Hibachi comes with your choice of small soup (I like their egg drop soup). Great for drinks and boba but food is overpriced and average. They have dine in available now but you serve youself. Drinks: Just as good as the north tampa location. The boba is perfection, soft and sweet and goes great with any drink. I tend to prefer the milk teas since I like the creaminess and it lets you reduce the sugar content to 30% and I honestly can't tell the difference compared to 100% (for the taro milk tea), if reducing sugar id important to you without sacrificing taste. If you get any of the fruit drinks, make sure to get 100% sugar if you want it sweet, anything less you will notice a huge difference and may not like it as much. For the first few weeks after they opened, which is over 2 or 3 months now, it was obvious they were still working some things out, the boba was still kinda hard, not cooked long enough, the fruit drinks were not as sweet as they should have been at 100%, but now they worked out the kinks and serve amazing and consistent drinks. Food: Admittedly I haven't tried much of what they offer but was not impressed. Ninja Chiken Nuggets - its ok, its fried chicken nuggets, nothing special, I really liked the Yum Yum sauce which is like a light but sweet mayo, but it seems overpriced at $7 The Tonkotsu ramen broth was sorta bland and disappointing, not enough meat, this was definitely overpriced for the quality and amount. read more

They have standard training in every franchise store unit. however the ramen is really sub par. For the amount of money, the quality is extremely poor. This is a cool place although a bit confusing since you order all of your food at the same register and things seem like they get mixed up a bit. First, I would like to say that the egg drop soup is the best thing on the menu. The chicken was super thick, and the soup was hot which gives it most of its flavor. We're from SD, where there are sooo many good ramen spots, so I was a bit skeptical at first coming here knowing I know what good ramen tastes like. I was surprised that chili oil was an extra $1.50, because I usually get that for free with my ramen. But nevertheless, from the flavor of the broth to the seasoned egg, their tonkotsu was delicious. I saw this place go in at the start of the pandemic and I have been dying to try the ramen since it's down the street from my house. Today was the day and it did not disappoint. I love Ramen of all kinds and this was in my top 3 favorite ramen of all times. I ordered takeout because I still down feel comfortable eating inside restaurants. I asked the cashier the most popular ramen and she said it was the Black Garlic Ramen bowl. It sounded amazing and had a pork base to it. I also ordered a taro frozen boba which tasted like sweet cereal milk with squishy tapioca bobas inside. Such a great idea to get both and treat myself! I highly recommend both. The ramen had a garlic taste and had so many textures between the fatty and seared pork slices and the creaminess broth. And who doesn't love noodles. I felt the $13 for the bowl was pretty fair too. Some places charge even more for tasteless ramen. It was ready really fast as well. The staff was nice and followed safety precautions with masks and gloves.
