Ive been using Todays dental for many years. Ive had a couple of crowns from them, my most recent was fitted to my implant actually today. Dr. Chau and the dental assistants do a great job. After overhearing a negative comment from their business person Daisee this morning about "not being able to make any money off of me today" since I was only there to pick up my crown, Im going to find a new dentist. I guess spending nearly $6k on this one (with my implant) isn't enough for them. read more

There are a few folks who enjoy going to the dentist. Social scientists refer to them as masochists. I am not one of them. Though I dread the semi-annual visit, it's a mandatory necessity for sure. Luckily, i just happen to come across an ad for Today's Dental. Now, I am not easily persuaded by ads, so doing my due diligence I investigated the practice, looked up the providers, and read all reviews. Hmm.. impressive. I decided to give them a chance. Glad I did! The front-end staff is the smile of any business (no pun intended). As directors of first impression, their interaction sets the stage for your visit. The staff here is friendly, welcoming, and above all, happy and willing to assist! With a calming and reassuring greeting, Daisee checked me in, and made sure all of my paperwork was in order. Then the dreaded wait begins. Except, the practice has music playing to relax you, a full water fridge, Keurig, chapstick for those dry lips, sugar-free lollipops to enjoy and the comfortable chairs help relax you as well. Then you are called in. From the moment you cross threshold into the clinic, you are treated with empathy and respect. You are given a tour of the facility, and an explanation along the tour. New equipment? Check! Sanitation station? Check! Fancy X-ray machine? Check! Open exam rooms with modern equipment? Check! As you settle in for your treatment, the most welcome surprise is the TV mounted on the ceiling! G E N I U S ! ! ! Select your favorite Netflix show, or movie, and you are in a distracted bliss while being worked on. I would be remiss if i didn't mention the dentist. Bedside manner is fantastic! I had been neglecting some dental work due to cost, but decided to ask about it here. To my surprise, I was told most of it wasn't necessary!! Donald Duck Dental practice. Refused to give me a quote over the phone to simply have a crown glued back on. Assured me they don't price gouge. Got in there, and they told me $400 for 20 cents worth of glue. I took my crown and left. Then they had the audacity to send me a bill. These people are completely incompetent and will try and suck as much money out of you. Avoid at all costs, they don't care about you. Zero stars if I could give it. read more

I can not even begin to explain what an incredible experience my first visit was with Today's Dental. The front desk staff took the time to help me figure out insurance details. They were so patient with me and that was a great start to an amazing experience. The dental assistant was so kind and patient. Took the time to listen to ny needs and explained everything she was doing. The hygienist was amazing as well. She did an amazing job with the cleaning and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Dr. Chao was very gentle and understanding of my anxiety of being at a dental office. He explained everything I needed to get done and made sure I was ok with all the details. I highly recommend this dental office. I'm so happy I found them. Also, the Treatment Coordinator Pam was so professional and so lovely. Having an implant installed in place of a molar that was removed in the 90's. As always Dr. Josh and Dr. Chao are taking very good care of me. These guys are amazing. I have been going to todays dental since I was 6 yrs old. I was a patient of Farran , green, and Haley These new docs not only were awful at bedside manner, they stopped my daughters Invisalign tx short because they aren't contracted with them and didn't want to uphold what I already paid. Than did a crown on my tooth which I was visibly crying for and had his dental friends come in and watch. Which I didn't concisely for. He didn't explain anything he was doing and finally asked after a solid 30 mins if I was in pain. I went to Dr Patel at island dental and he immediately fixed my mouth so I can finally eat. They told me that my dental insurance was covered in their office, but come to find out. They will change the dentist on you that is no longer covered under your insurance. If you decide to use them, make sure that they are covered and that you were seeing the dentist that will be covered under your insurance. read more

I've been a customer for over 15 years. Spent tons of money and I mean tons (my mom's dentures cost me $8,000 alone). A week ago, one of my veneers came off and I went get it fix. Turn out my dental insurance expired, and they would not do anything, unless I had an insurance. To top it off, they charged me $37 no show charge. This practice used to be good, friendly and very accommodating. Now, I would not recommend them because of very poor service. read more

This office has gone downhill since since new management took over. Definitely NOT recommended! I have had regular x-rays every 2 years with no problems most of my life. This office will NOT serve you if you do not submit to x-rays every 18 months max. On top of that, they text me unwanted advertisements for "smile makeovers, dental implants and Invisalign" and if you don't respond, they keep bothering you until you do. Today's Dental - 1 is new - General Dentistry Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

This is the most pretentious dental office I've ever been to and they prioritize money over patients. They have a superiority complex and shame their patients who historically haven't taken the best care of their teeth. Their receptionists and dentists are consistently condecending, rude, and love to lecture. They overcharge drastically compared to other dentists in the area, so don't expect their work to be cheap. They love to split appointments across several days, requiring multiple appointments and copays. If you need a lot of dental work done, or your schedule changes frequently and you may need to reschedule often, this is NOT the office for you. I felt like I was getting lectured and scolded by a parent on multiple occasions. In addition, their cancellation policy is absurd. They have a 48 hour cancelation window, meaning if something arrises with life or work between 48 and 24 hours prior to the appointment and you need to cancel, too bad, they'll charge you by the hour. Child got sick, car troubles, or you have an unexpected work obligation 48 hours or less? Sucks to suck, pay up. On top of that, they force you to pay off the late fee before even allowing you to reschedule, rather than charging the day of your new appointment. Sometimes people need to cancel at 24 hours, and don't deserve to be shamed no matter the frequency. They have no flexibility with the 48 hour cancelation window, either. If you cancel within 24 hours and had a 2 hour appointment that's $50 per hour!! I've heard of a missed appointment fee of $25, but $100?!?! Paying a missed/cancelation fee is understandable, but that amount is astronomical, especially in this economy. They like to play the part of the dentist office who "cares" but it's all a facade. They should start by listening to their patients when they say upfront that they might have to reschedule often due to unforseen work circumstances instead of condescendingly saying, "we ask our patients to be aware of their schedules" or, "we send out a reminder text message" as justification for charging $100 for a single cancelled appointment. At the end of the day, they just want your money and genuinely aren't that great of a dental practice to be this pretentious. They provide the same services as every other dental office in the area does, just with less flexibility and at a higher cost. Save yourself the headache, lecture, time and money and take your business elsewhere. read more

I'm very happy with Today's Dental! I have had several procedures there during the last few months and the entire staff has ensured that every visit was a stress free experience. The office staff are fantastic, so pleasant and welcoming that by the time I would go back to the room I was relaxed and ready. They also kept me informed and aware of my upcoming procedures and clearly explained my insurance and account matters (thanks Erica!). Dr Jennings is an excellent and highly skilled dentist and is very nice. The state of the art technology used in this practice is amazing. Patty and Abby are very efficient assistants, friendly and always making sure I felt comfortable. I am impressed with the care and professionalism I have experienced with everyone at Todays Dental. I have also had appointments with Dr Chau who is great and have met Dr Josh and had appointments with both hygienists so they make sure you're well acquainted with the practice, I appreciate that. I had the best possible experience a person can have at a Dentist office. Easily 5 stars... My last visit to a dentist office was just plain awful and scary. So I was a bit anxious and apprehensive, but I ended up leaving with a smile on my face. The staff here are top notch professionals. They are friendly and thoughtful and made me feel completely comfortable. Jan took me back to an exam room and had me laughing and feeling right at ease. Which is pretty important in a typically unpleasant place (who likes getting their mouth poked?). She was just a wonderful and nice woman. Then in comes Dr. Howard Farran, who had me rolling right from the get go. So funny and super knowledgeable! He seemed to take a genuine interest in my visit and made me feel like I came to the right place. I actually learned quite a bit just from talking with him. He explained all my options and his recommendations. No pressure or up-selling. Great guy. Great Doctor. I'll be back in a couple weeks... and dare I say I'm actually looking forward to my next visit. read more

Dr. DeMark is the best dentist on the planet. He is so friendly, warm, and funny. Always making jokes, telling you exactly what he is going to do, and checking in during procedures to make sure you are okay. He calls you the night of your procedure just to make sure everything is okay instead of having you sit in pain miserable overnight on the rare case something goes awry. Most people hate their dentists, but, I love mine! If he wasn't married with 8 kids, I'm sure he would love me too! Anyway, onto business. The whole entire office at Today's Dental is super friendly and accommodating. I love going there (seriously) because everyone is so nice and friendly, they make sure all of your questions are answered, and they spend whatever time they need with you versus making you feel like a number. The office is really nice, clean, and they have two TV's with about 100 channels in every room. One for when you are sitting up, and one on the ceiling when you are laying down! Baller! The hours are great and they normally always have lunch appointments available. 100% recommend this office. I have referred 4 people there already who are equally as happy with Dr. DeMark and Today's Dental! read more

So, for the most part, everyone always dreads going to the dentist, either out of fear of pain or the bill. I know I chose the latter for a good portion of my life and knew the day would come when it would "bite" me in the butt.....sorry. Low and behold at the ripe age of 31, 16 years since my last visit to a dentist, three wisdom teeth decided to show me who's boss. Looks like this dental plan is about to pay off... I'm in a new state, I don't have a dentist or a doctor....... or a psychiatrist (if you were curious). Where do I go? Luckily I have a boss and friend named Amber Williams (plug) who pointed me in the right direction. Also conveniently located around the corner from my place, Today's Dental was the "place to be". Nervously, I made my call to schedule an appointment and was immediately put at ease by the almost impossibly friendly staff. But I knew what was coming, they couldn't fool me. In I walked and signed in at the front desk, their smiles and helpfulness, there's no way this is real. I was called in and taken on a tour of the facilities, and I thought that was very very very very cool for some reason. I must have looked like I was 6 years old walking around there. Like a giant 6ft 3in six-year-old. I got in my room and there's TV's on the wall, on the ceiling, all playing Sports Center, are you *^&%^*&ing kidding me?? I was so excited at this point I didn't care what they did, just let me sit down and you guys can get to work. By the way, I'm sorry if this is not at all exciting to you because you go to the dentist all the time like a normal person, but this is crazy to me. In short of losing site of the actual review I'll sum this up. My dentist was Dr. DeMark and he's pretty much the coolest guy you could ever hope to have ripping bones from your head. I was at no time uncomfortable and actually wouldn't have minded another 20- 30 minutes. He really might be the coolest guy I've ever met in general now that I think about it. Believe me, this was no easy surgery, but I walked out of there with a giant swollen smile on my face. I was thoroughly educated in how to take care of myself during the healing process and got a phone call later that night from the Dr making sure I was alright and checking that I understood what to do. I mean if this is the typical experience then I'm surprised, it was a pleasure all around and I will never go to another dentist. In short, if you're like me and have been an idiot for not going to the dentist, or if you're new to the area looking for a new dentist...go here...because I said so. Not impressed. They had many appointments open. I ended up going to the ER, called them at 2am to cancel my morning appointment. For some reason I was unable to prompt the machine to leave a message. So I went to their website and filled out the form to let them know. I didn't go to bed until 7am. I get a call about the appointment. Ok, I call back and them know the issues with reaching them. The woman was extremely rude. Basically it was my fault. Now they don't have any appointments available for the next month. If this is how you treat your new patients, I will pass. I had to stray due to the fact that Todays Dental isn't able to do a payment plan for the amount of work I have needed (needing my 8th root canal currently) At my new dentist I have spent over 3.5k on dental work...paid in full as of today :) Back to Todays Dental and the best dentist, hands down, Dr. DeMark!!! He is a wonderfully gifted dentist! Great bedside manner, very engaging and very attentive! He calls after a procedure to make sure you're alright, and during the procedure he is explaining every step he takes. My new dentist is so nice but the person they had do my root canals was sent right up from HELL lol If I am ever in need of another, which I actually am, I will gladly walk into Todays Dental, cash in hand! Since I was paying off the 3.5k at the other dentist, I still had a balance at Todays Dental and they were so patient with me about it and didn't bother me for months and I apologize for them having to even deal with that! I travel from Tolleson here and there is a dentist right across the street from my house. That's how much I love this place. I have really bad teeth and always need something when I go to the dentist. I have had 3 crowns done here and every time it's a breeze. They make it super comfortable and even have TVs on the ceiling for you to watch. The best part is they have a CEREC machine which creates a permanent crown for you right on the spot. No wearing a temporary and waiting two weeks. Only a few places in the valley have this. My dentist is Dr. DeMark and he is the best dentist I've ever been too. He makes my appointments painless and easy. He even calls you that night to make sure everything is ok. The office is super clean and the staff is super friendly. As long as I live in the Phoenix area I will always come here. read more

I moved out here from California and was looking for a dentist. After some research, I came across Today's Dental on Yelp. I chose this location because of the positive reviews and most importantly they had an appointment on a day I had off from work. Other local dentist weren't accepting any new patients for like a month out. Today I had an appointment recently. They called the day prior to remind me of my appoint and to arrive 15-30 mins early to fill our new patient paper work. I was running a little bit late. Filled out my paper work and was about 5 mins after my appointment time. I was called in right away. I had an overdue X-ray, exam and partial cleaning. Overall experience was awesome. Sara and Dr Ngo are very friendly, gentle, informative, and professional. The rest of the staff are friendly and professional as well. I had a very impressive first visit and will look forward to my up coming appointment for the rest of my dental work. read more

We have been at Today's Dental since 1999. The practice used to be awesome! But the practice has gone through multiple dentists the past few years like a revolving door. The dentist I was seeing for the past year or so just left and now there is yet another new dentist - Dr Jennings. My husband was told that he needed multiple fillings by a temporary dentist filling in a few years ago after being told at his last check up his teeth looked great! After he made a complaint he never did need the multiple fillings!! Then this week I went in for an infected tooth and was referred to an endodontist to get the needed treatment. The endodontist told me to go back to Today's Dental to get the treatment so I did (3rd appointment this week) to be told again that I need to now go to an oral surgeon. They were aware at the beginning of the week that we were leaving town for 2 months and I needed rapid treatment. Dr Chow, the owner of the practice, was very unhelpful and unsympathetic to my situation. I do not recommend this dental office!! We have decided that we will be changing dental offices and will never go back to this practice!! read more

I had not been to a dentist in over 10 years because my last experience had been so awful (crowns that hurt for more than a year!), until I began hearing from friends about Today's Dental. Good thing I finally went, because it turned out one of the crowns put in by the last dentist had ground one of my teeth down to a nub. }:-( Even BETTER thing that I went to TODAY's DENTAL! Dr. Haley's chair side demeanor is fantastic; friendly, funny, reassuring and considerate of individuals' pain levels. I loved how patient and efficient he was, and I got a kick out of the interaction between him and his assistant Yhony. It was clear that all of the people there, including Brandy and Vickie (sorry, I can't remember everyone else's names) are a cohesive and dedicated team. I ended up with a brand new crown where that one tooth had been ground away. I just got it yesterday and I love it. Never knew that crowns could be something good. Instead of having to go for more than a year before the crown stopped hurting I was back to normal and even using it by last night. }:-) I will be able to get to know and remember the rest of Today's Dental staffs' names, because I just found my official dental office from here-on. read more

So far so good. I went in for an exam. I was a little nervous since it has been 9 years, but I did my research and Glass was not only on my network but had great reviews. The staff immediately put me at ease. I was given the full compliment of x-rays and exams. Dr Glass was super nice and super funny. At the end, I was told what needed to be done, asked my opinion on a few things that "could" be done (like removing my permanent retainer) and then informed of the prices of everything. Sunday Night - DRAT! A barely year-old crown from another dentist pops out of my mouth for the 2nd time! Monday - on the recommendation of my boyfriend, I call "Happy Tooth" (pet name due to that cute logo). They're right in my neighborhood and Valerie (front desk sweetheart) is able to set me up with an appointment that same day. She also makes me aware of an Internet special for a full exam (only $30! Thanks, Valerie!) Monday I meet with Dr. DeMark to asses my situation. Warm, friendly, respectful, knowledgeable, answered my questions, did not feel rushed... just great! Jan, the xray tech (ditto above adjectives) did a great job doing my state-of-the-art full-head x-rays and toured me through the place explaining/showing me how new teeth are made RIGHT THERE on the same day...yes, that means, no molds, no temporarily crowns, and no coming back to get the permanent tooth put in. Wow! Sarah, the dentist hygienist finished up the exam (ditto above adjectives, really so nice) and then I was scheduled to do the extensive dental work just two days later (turns out I needed work on two teeth and a second crown had to be made). Wednesday - Met again with Dr. DeMark (superhero of dentists in my opinion) and Yhony, his assistant (ditto above adjectives). My gums were numbed with topical ointment first (always appreciate that) before Dr. DeMark did the injections (which he did very easily and quick - thank you!). Both were so great - explained everything, worked quickly/confidently, answered questions, and entertained me with goofy dentist silliness - as they fixed my dental dilema. I couldn't believe they fixed the first tooth and gum as fast as they did and then started on my second issue. I loved watching Yhony sculpt my new tooth on the computer (still think he should have signed his initials to that work of art!). Both were so thorough, making sure I was ok seriously every 30 seconds (maybe more!). For you TV lovers, yes, you can watch a ba-zilion channels if you want but I mostly enjoyed daydreaming out the window...Was I really there 3 hours??? Bottom line - both teeth look and feel great. Later at the front desk, Sandy (ditto above adjectives), explained to me the payment plan through CareCredit, which I am so grateful for. It's no wonder my boyfriend calls this place "Happy Tooth"! Today's dental is the best. I would recommend them to anyone without a doubt! All the staff is amazing and super friendly but a select few really stand out. Dr. Ngo is by far the most impressive. Super friendly guy and you can tell he knows his stuff. He goes the extra mile every time I see him and makes sure I'm comfortable and that I know exactly what's going on before he starts. I usually hate going to the dentist but after I met this guy I don't dread it anymore. Thanks for all that you do Dr. Ngo you're the man! The other guy that stands out is one of the assistants Yhony.
