My whole family has been going to Dental By Design since Dr. Kode took over the practice in 2003. He is one of the best dentists I've ever been to. He is so kind, and he really cares about his patients. I've watched his practice grow into what it is today, and it's thriving. Since opening, he has had other dentists join his practice as well as multiple hygienists. He even has his own in-house lab. Five years ago, I moved clear across the valley, but that hasn't stopped me from driving 30 miles one way to keep coming to a dentist I know cares about me. When you find a good dentist who loves what he's doing and really makes a difference, you don't go somewhere else. read more

I had my 6 month checkup and cleaning. Everyone is very kind and considerate. I highly recommend this dental office.

For many, going to the dental office can cause anxiety, and most of that can be attributed to a previous experience as an adult or a child. That experience may have been major and minor, but either way, it can scar many folks. I guess I'm the opposite, I look forward to going but I do get it. Going to the dentist is a great thing for me as I want to keep and maintain a beautiful smile and healthy mouth. When my previous dental office shut its doors as part of retirement, I search and visited a lot of dental offices. A good dental office requires more than just a good dentist. They need to have good hygienist and support staff to make the experience feel welcoming. I felt extremely fortunate to find this place through a referral as the entire staff is all about making your experience a good one. The staff is friendly and very well skilled when it comes to handling any dental treatment. Most people are concerned when they visit as they don't do regular checkups so yeah, your gonna feel guilty, but I've never left feeling that way, and more of encouragement to take the next steps for a healthier mouth. I've witness patients come in expressing unease or anxiety and the staff doing their part to have them feel calm and comfortable throughout the experience. The office is clean and the front waiting area has a TV, complimentary water & coffee and fish tank (pretty cool). My primary doctor who I see is Dr. Curry, but I've had the pleasure of seeing and talking with the other doctors when needed. I've recommended this dental office to several coworkers and the experience to them has been good. read more

Don't go there! Root canal and crown charged me about $1000 and my dental insurance paid the rest. These scammers called me back months later saying I owed hundreds more that insurance didn't pay. Then they sent it to collections, ruined my credit. The cheaply made GOLD crown fell off because of decay underneath. I called to get them fix it and they won't. read more

I have to give it up to Dr. Rapacz here. He helped me out a lot with what a situation that I thought could potentially have been terrible. On a Saturday in October I was riding my bike and ended up flipping over the handlebars with my mouth hitting the ground, leaving me with a chipped tooth. Dr. Rapacz was able to get me in 2 days later on Monday morning! When I came in, he was extremely upbeat and friendly. He was very knowledgeable about the situation and definitely eased my concerns. He fixed the chipped tooth with bonding and a filling in less than 30 minutes! And if you look at my smile now, you'd have no idea I had a chipped tooth unless you saw pictures or read this review. The office practices COVID-19 precautions. Their front office staff takes your temperature before taking you back. And when I came back for a my teeth cleaning, they make sure that they screen you and have you fill out a questionnaire. With all their helpfulness, friendliness, and genuine care for their patients I couldn't be happier. I've found my new dentist! read more

I've been going to Dentalbydesign for years for all my dental services. I find that Dr. Kolde is very friendly, honest and skillful. The hygienist Brigette is great fun, communicative and helpful. I'd recommend my friends and neighbors to patronize them. read more

Dental by design is the best place to go for all of your dental needs. I have been a patient there for 3+ years, and my experience has never been short of excellent. I cannot believe I just wrote that, although it is true. This is coming from a person who is fearful of sitting in a dentist's chair. The staff there is the absolute best. They're genuine, professional, thorough, and considerate. If you're looking for a new dentist I'd highly recommend you give Dental by design a shot. 10/10 Special thank you to Dr. Khan, Apryl, and Belinda! read more

As a new customer, my first impression as a client is one I'd like to forget. Not only did I have the audacity to miss my first appointment, but I failed at being punctual at the subsequent appointment by twenty minutes. Consequently, I was so embarrassed by the ignominious events that I was expecting perfunctory service in retaliation (and rightfully so). However, DentalbyDesignAZ staff still manifested exemplary professionalism. My hygienist, Jessica, was amiable and meticulous during x-rays and cleaning. Dr. Roybal was perspicacious, as advertised. At least one of us left a great first impression. read more

Horrible service! When I tried to receive explanation of denied bill, the receptionist April quoted a "HIPPA" law stating why I can never get a regular cleaning?! when asked where she got the information, she wanted to transfer me to a hygienist. Office fabricated a call to my insurance! ANd HUNG UP ON ME. thankfully met life gave me an accurate account of what happened with my claim. 2 "dentist" visits within 6 months and NEVER SAW A DENTIST. Beware of scam dentists! And receptionists QUOTING FALSE LAWS. PAY ATTENTION TO THEIR HISTORY OF INSURANCE CLAIMS AND FRAUDULENT WAYS! Look below read more

Very nice staff Gentle Hygienist. I love the fact that they will call you to schedule an appointment when they have cancellations that might work for you. Off the top of my head, I can't recall that lady's name that calls from the office all the time, but I just heart her! She is such a gem. I've been to dental offices that are far more technologically advanced with headphones, satellite TV, computer applications that the staff uses to show and explain what's going on with your teeth. Since I'm an engineer, I love gadgets and tech stuff. In addition, the main reason I did not give this place a four is the fact that I have to ask "what is that instrument used to detect?", "what does that tell us?", "what does that mean?". I absolutely detest going to an office where I'm paying you to do work for me and I leave there not understanding what you did for me. So, every time I"ve been to this office, I ask those questions. I don't like it. the information should flow freely. It helps when your patient is informed and can make better decisions. All-in-All, I enjoy my visits here. read more

Going to the dentist office has always been a source of anguish for me, ever since I was young. Perhaps due to some of the abnormal experiences I had gone through up until now. Not having insurance or being covered by my parents plan. As a result of growing up close to the boarder I often made trips to Mexico for my dentistry work. My friend who works there suggested I'd come in for a cleaning and after a few months of reluctancy I finally decided to make an appointment. In all honestly I was visibly uncomfortable which was largely due to the lapse of time between visits. However, Dental By Design made every effort to make me feel as calm and comfortable as possible. The office itself is very clean, the front line were all amazingly nice, pleasant and helpful. They worked with my budget because at the time I was uninsured and I was able to fit into a payment plan that worked best for me. I'm not sure if bed side manner is a term associated with dentistry but Dr. Curry handled me with care. She spoke me all the through my assessment and made sure I understood her, outlining steps to make moving forward. I can't say I'll look forward to the dentist again, but I will say I look forward to being in a welcoming, knowledgeable, and safe atmosphere again with individuals who do great work. read more

I'm very disappointed that when my dentist moved to this office, he did not inform his existing patients that he was no longer contracted with certain insurance providers he was contracted with earlier in the year. The office will honor the payment provided by my insurance for the appointment I recently had with him, but moving forward, this dentist will bill as an out of network provider. Furthermore, at my last appointment, my dentist created a treatment plan with fees close to $1,500.00 so, I am very lucky that I caught this in time. Medical service standards across most dental offices are, for the most part, the same; the distinction between a good practice and an excellent practice is the attitude of the front office staff, simplicity in coordinating insurance benefits, ease of appointment setting, wait times, and communication. Two stars, because... I've experienced better. read more

omg let me tell you this place is beyond amazing, comforting!super clean the staff is very compassionate and understanding. I had some dental work done on my 2 front teeth by Dr. Roybal and I couldn't be more pleased with the overall experience. Starting from the front staff, manager and assistants. Everyone was wonderful. They made me feel comfortable from day one! I highly recommend him. He was very patient and what really impressed me was, he took his time to make sure that the color, shape, size of my teeth were exactly how I wanted them. Go see them! read more

This dental office is one of the best that I have ever been to. When I first moved to the Phoenix area, I probably tried out about 8 different dentists before finally listening to my co-worker's referral and coming here. Dr. Kode is an awesome dentist. He is highly skilled, and uses up-to-date high tech equipment. Marianne is also the best dental hygienists that I have had. She is thorough, gentle, and very knowledgeable about everything!!! She is also a perfectionist, which I can appreciate-being one myself, and never misses anything. Sheryl, Sandy, and Heather are also fantastic, and always friendly! I don't know the rest of the staff as well, but everyone has always been overly nice. In addition to being extremely competent, this dental office is also very patient-oriented. They have events (like movie nights) for patients, and always have really cool giveaways. They are also involved in community events and charity work. Moreover, they are also very compassionate and considerate of patients who do not have dental insurance. They are very reasonably priced, which is rare for this quality of service. I moved to California for school almost 2 years ago, but I am still driving to Arizona twice a year just to see these guys! They are totally worth it! I tried out a dentist in California who charged me twice as much for a cleaning and did a horrible job. Being in graduate school, I don't have time or money for trial-and-error dentists, and it's good to know that this office is there for me, even though I have to drive about 350 miles to get there. :) Thank you!!! read more

Dr. Kode is THE BEST DENTIST I have ever had. He has excellent bed side manner. Always checking in on me. This place really cares about you and they don't try to rip you off like other dentists I have been to. Go here!! read more

This place is dishonest and I would never recommend anyone I know to go there. They tried to make me feel bad about my teeth in order to pressure me into their services. They were rude and tried to take advantage of me. They lied to me and said I had multiple cavities which I don't according to the dentist I go to now. They had a really nice office and equipment but I wasn't going to pay that for them. I'm going to pay someone to be honest with me and to take good care of my teeth, not just look at what's in my wallet. read more

2 bad experiences I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt but I actually really hated it. I felt like they wanted my money but the work I had done was shoddy. Not for me especially since there is a dentist practically on every corner I don't have to settle. read more
