I had a tooth with an outside filling that broke off in half. Looked horrible. Easily infected. My previous dentist said we would need "A comprehensive evaluation" Which meant time and more money. I was recommended to BEAUTIFUL DENTISTRY. The woman I spoke to first was not fake, understood exactly what I was telling her and had a solution stat. The hygienists were in align with what we were doing at my appointment. Dr. "Martin" (he uses first name. Everyone has trouble with his last.) and the hygienist were done very quickly; I had very little pain so no anesthesia. It looked normal again and was closed up for any infection. I am going back for my cleaning and evaluation in a week. I do not feel like I was baited at all either. If you have bad TMJ - there's a Botox solution for those who never wear their mouth guard etc. ME. You can be injected in two places jaw line and tension area in your forehead. Ask Dr. Martin. I could knock out migraines and TMJ! I appreciate businesses that put you first still SO MUCH. Seems we lost that a long time ago. read more

After going to 2 other dental offices that felt more like a freaking timeshare consultation, it was refreshing to find a dentist that actually listens to the patient and then gives you options. Coordinating insurance benefits with Beautiful Dentistry has been a nightmare. I paid out of pocket for a treatment in January 2024 that should have been covered by my insurance. The billing department told me they would submit a claim and reimburse me for the coverage amount, but ten months later my insurance still has not received the correct claim from Beautiful Dentistry. My calls and emails to the office go unanswered, and I have been unable to even get anyone on the phone. Horrible service and communication from Beautiful Dentistry. read more

I barely know them but I really trust them. About two years back my family had a dental emergency. It was very stressful and painful. I didn't know what to do. Google pointed me toward Beautiful Dentistry. I called and they told me to come in right away. They stayed open late, took care of my family, were excessively patient, and were wildly affordable. They could have charged me 10x the amount and I wouldn't have batted an eye. I don't know what I would have done without them. I feel very fortunate that I called them of all dentists. Now I'm a regular patient and they treat me with the same care and kindness. The hygienist was communicative and gentle. She didn't try to upsell. She gave great advice and she made me really comfortable. I'd give them 10 out of 5 stars, if I could. I'm looking forward to a long relationship with this office. read more

Highly recommend Dr. Martin and his awesome team! Great one stop dentist office. They are caring, friendly, and most importantly skilled in the work that is done. Dr. Martin is confident and knowledgeable in his field. He performs all types of dentistry which saves time and money because you do not have to go to other specialists to do specific dental work. His office is clean and up to date with the latest technology. His dental assistants and hygienists are wonderful and keep things moving in a productive and professional manner. The front desk staff is so friendly and they acknowledge me by name every time I arrive adding that extra special welcoming feeling. After having a bad experience at a different office in Phoenix I was recommended to come here and I'm glad I did! This staff is so kind and makes you feel like a priority. Cindy always helps me out and is great about explaining what's going on and makes me feel comfortable. Dr. Martin does excellent work and it's always a shorter visit than I think it will be. I'm usually scared of numbing shots but Sue, the hygienist, was very patient with me and I didn't feel a thing. They have the best front desk staff, all the dental hygienist are AMAZING, and I'm currently getting Invisalign with Dr. Martin who's the BEST! I recommend this place to everyone I know. Nice office but the first time I went here to get a routine cleaning the hygienist complained the entire time about my retainer, saying there was something wrong. I had no issues flossing/cleaning them but she refused to work with them. The second time I went for my cleaning I requested someone else which they were going to allow but did not want to take my new insurance over the phone, even when I asked to make sure it was going to be accepted. The day of my appointment I was told it was not accepted and wasted my time driving there etc. which could have been avoided. I feel as though the office staff is lazy and when asked questions start to get an attitude. read more

Robert is the best! I stumbled upon Dr Heap's office about 15ish years ago and they are like family. Dr heap is no bull. Robert is the kindest and coolest cat I have ever met. Having suffered a lifetime from *severe* dental phobia, I am not one to speak in support of most dental treatment facilities; but after my experiences the past month at Beautiful Dentistry in Tempe, I feel the need to give kudos where credit is due and offer my hearty nod of approval. I am SO impressed with their empathy, skill, service, state of the art equipment, procedures, and work ethic, that I would recommend them to anyone looking for a top notch dentist. Today, I feel empowered and pride in my teeth. Not only did they bring them back into tip top shape (after I assumed they were beyond repair), they taught me, without judgment, how to care for them properly so my teeth will last a lifetime :) They also aided me in getting the most out of my dental insurance with the least cost to me, and did not try to up sell me on anything. My review is about my experience getting my teeth cleaned about a year ago. I was a new patient and I think I had a new dental hygienist fresh out of school. He was friendly, but the cleaning wasn't so good. The hygienist did not do the usual probing to assess gum health and didn't floss my teeth. The doctor came in during the cleaning to do the exam, which may have thrown the hygienist off the routine. The doctor wanted an xray of one of my teeth and the hygienist tried like 3x and didn't get the view the doctor wanted, so then the doctor came in and helped. I had already gotten a full round of xrays earlier in the appointment, so I wasn't happy about the extra xrays. They didn't ask for my permission for the additional xrays either. They just kept taking them. In retrospect, I should have refused, but you think it'll just take one more for them to get the one they need, and before you know it you've had 4 more xrays. (The hygienist and doctor said nothing about radiation, this is my own comment: Many medical offices will tell you how xrays have improved and there's now less radiation and they are safe. If you hear that run. There is NO safe level of radiation exposure.) Looking at my records during the exam, the doctor noted that my gums hadn't been probed and told the hygienist it should have been done, but didn't ask him to do it. I could have asked to have it done, but I by this time I didn't have much confidence in the hygienist. The hygienist finished the cleaning without flossing my teeth. (And you know how big dental people are about flossing!) I could have asked him to do it, but at that point I was ready to leave. On the plus side, the office seemed modern and the doctor had a good chair side manner. However, I mostly need a good place to get my teeth cleaned and this wasn't it. Things may have changed since my visit. When making an appt you may want to ask how much experience the hygienist has. read more

As an adult I am terrified of dentists due to childhood lack of being taken to them. After many traumatic dental experiences mostly due to no childhood care ,and being sick of mean uncaring judgemental dentists, I as an adult Have finally found a place I feel comfortable. The front office really takes their time with you on the phone and is interested in your concerns and fears. Dr heap is gentle and actually listens. He offers sedation dentistry which is what I need but hopefully one day I won't. His office is beautiful and comfortable. Dr heap probably doesn't realize what he has done for my mental health and my fear. I love u dr heap . I just had an appointment and it was the best I've ever had. Thank you. read more

We've been going there for 3 years and after the way Diana spoke to me over the phone last week, we're done. The issue came from billing and insurance. Diana kept saying over the phone "You listen to me", again and again and stated that she doesn't like my constant questioning her on my billing. In the past I've had my billing combined with my husbands, I've been overcharged for treatments and instead of Diana stating I overcharged you, she takes the credit and applies it to my husbands billing and says nothing. My constant questioning is Protected Us from incurring medical debt. We all know what happens if you are out of network and/or the insurance doesn't cover things. You are responsible, so if I'm questioning and advising you the insurance will not cover this and you advise "Well they covered your husband" and I ask you to confirm with the insurance, then you really should confirm not assume. So that's what happen. I called the insurance and was told no coverage. I told Diana and her response was they covered your husband, so they'll cover you. I received a notice from the insurance and called Diane and she didn't appreciate being questioned If I told any of my customers, "You listen to me" and when they questioned their billing if I said "your constantly questioning me and I don't appreciate it". . . well I doubt I would have them as a customer much longer. As it turned out I was right to question and she really should appreciate an educated client. I asked to speak to Dr. Heap and she said he's not available. Apart from Diane, I do want to say that Dr. Heap and the rest of the staff is awesome. We had Nikki as our Hygenious and she's awesome. We will miss her. read more

So sorry to hear that Dr. Heap has retired. He has been our dentist for over 30 years. We have yet to meet Dr. "Martin" as the team calls him. We hear Dr. Heap took his time deciding who he would feel comfortable with in "passing the baton." We were there for our routine cleaning. Jamie is my hygienist and she is wonderful. I'm waiting to discuss my treatment plan. It looks like I have some work to do, so we'll see. I will post a review once I complete treatment. This will give me a better idea on how I feel about Dr. Martin Sobieraj. I know for sure if Dr. Heap was still our dentist, this review would be a 5 hands down. One thing the staff might consider is playing comforting music instead of the radio station 99.9. The volume was too loud in the waiting/lobby area. Because of the volume and the station choice, I felt a bit tense and couldn't distract myself with the magazine I was trying to read. I do listen to 99.9 on occasion in the car, but in that situation, I have the option of changing the station if I don't like the conversation or the current music playing. I actually do not recall what the music selection was previously in the office. That's the way it should be so as not to overwhelm. This may not seem very important, but it is to the patients I think. I would consider this a deal breaker for considering continuing care if it continued. No one likes to go to the dentist. I just went in for my first annual exam as a new patient and was super impressed. The dentist gave many detailed explanations and showed great real life pictures for me to understand everything. I needed to get two fillings and they were able to fit me in the next day! I was told by Janae, a dental hygienist, that many people don't even have pain when he gives numbing shots and its 100% true! He has this trick to give the gums a little jerk to distract the nerve so u don't feel the shot. The customer service is great, the office is nicely decorated and welcoming, and u can watch a movie while ur there! Best dentist I've ever been to seriously! read more

I swear I had already done a review on Yelp the minute I left this office, but it seems to have disappeared. Dr. Heap is just a gem and well worth the drive no matter where you are in the Valley. He is such a pioneer and saved me from having to get another crown due to a large amalgam. He does tooth conserving dentistry and is knowledgeable and caring for scaredy cats like me. :) He also does beautiful cosmetic dentistry if the fillings are where they will be seen.
