This facility is very clean and professional however I'm not sure that the dentists have enough life experience to make executive decisions. I felt they overly caution on the side of error not necessarily because of the patients best interest, but because they want to cover themselves from any liability. Which is not a bad thing to be safe than sorry, however here is a difference between caution and just not having the knowledge to make a decision. The process of getting my tooth checked was exhausting and costly for me, as a patient to get so many xrays and scans at different facilities and pay so much just to make sure my tooth was ok and In the end after xrays and a 3D scan dentists were still unsure if there was something in my tooth or not. In the end I went back to my old dentist in California who sorted it all out. This place is probably good for basic clear cut work like cleaning and cosmetics, but not great for complex work like differentiating between a legit problem or a scar. Lastly this place is very expensive I was charged $700 for a crown and my former dentist charges 350. Almost double yikes ! read more

Never in my life had a more humiliating experience than visiting this office not 1x but twice. After finding out I had severe botched dental work from a diff provider years ago I was told by an endodontist to visit this guy to address my chief complaint .$74 copay & some x-rays I was basically thrown out of the office and told to come back after an extraction. At this point I'm losing weight & getting sicker. I was told by the endo after the extraction that he could not help me again & recc I go back. he promised that this "Dr" would take care of the occlusion that was bothering me. He gave up halfway refused to hear me didn'teven notice that I had a bone spur This man has a god complex he is condescending rude & his staff laughed at me as I cried in frustration and pain that has been ongoing since Jan 9th. I went back to my orig dentist who spent the entire day filing down each tooth until I was manageable A "Dr"that thinks is acceptable for his staff to laugh at a pt in pain. Shameful. If you notice the reviews on yelp most of them have one to their name.. curious. this is a place for aesthetics. Hence the Barbie doll looking staff laughing at somebody like me who was now down to 93 lb for not being able to eat for over 6 weeks, had two allergic reactions to different antibiotics and has been shuffled back and forth between three different offices in that plaza because we were supposed to be a treatment team yet the second things got to the point where actual patient care and compassion was necessary I got dropped like a hot potato. I didn't yell I didn't scream I simply got out of the chair and walked out crying yet Dr Donald, I'm going to call him that because (he reminds me of the Donald Trump of dentists) stoic stubborn and uncompassionate. made sure to walk me like I am some sort of criminal to the front desk as I told them I'm dismissing myself as a patient of their office while the brunette hygienist in the back smirked And when I was in the front and they thought I couldn't hear them, laughed at me some more. I hope none of them ever end up working with the elderly Or children or pts with PTSD. What I did do was I simply chose to turn around and tell them how shameful how appalling their behavior was, And I will dispute any credit charges as I did not receive the standard of care and the job was not finished. I will be filing a complaint and official one .It is never okay to treat a person like that ever in a medical setting especially a dental office. Dentistry is the one area of medicine with the highest rate of anxiety patients people literally go years without seeing dentists because they are so scared. I'm not one of those people I just got dealt a very bad hand by choosing a really bad provider in 2007. So if you're looking for a compassionate dentist do not bring your children/loved ones here and or a loved one who looks anything less likely just walked out of Scottsdale fashion square and had their eyelash extensions touched up because otherwise you'll be treated like trash. Every excuse he used was total garbage otherwise I wouldn't still have the tooth in my head filed down to where I needed it and by the way you had zero permission to shave the upper tooth without my consent. Update: I had to go to an emergency dentist today because of extreme nausea dizziness headaches that were persisting and now have a second confirmation that the brain automatically wants to make things even when an extraction is performed so because of the constant banging, grinding and because help came too late I now have extreme vertigo caused by the TMJ, and uneven bite that I was diagnosed with that it is so far up in my sinuses, all could have been avoided had Dr gombert shaved down the occlusion instead of letting his ego arrogance and apparently incompetence get in the way of my treatment thank you Dr Grabow for recommending him to me. And assuring me I would be in good hands and that he would do what it was needed when I arrived he had no idea why I was there and then dropping me as well. And sending me to that oral surgeon who yanked my tooth out hard enough to lift the other tooth, who has left the office twice since the procedure. Now I have to drive back and forth to Scottsdale to continue shaving down my teeth get a night guard refitted, deal with the continued pain, and find a chiropractor to help me with the new escalated TMJ problems that have reached my sinuses. All while taking care of two small children basically full time. But go here if you want awesome veneers. And free coffee. But don't go here if you want promises of stuff getting fixed and then going in and it not getting actually fixed and having two subsequent dentists tell you why the heck would he tell you that and why wouldn't he just do that. Sadly, I though my initial dental care was decent. But as soon as I left the area and my dental insurance behind I started receiving bills for "services" that were nine or ten months old. These were bills I was receiving for the first time and already marked "90+ days late" or "we will be taking further action". Either they are outright crooks or (at the least) their billing system and personnel are wholly inadequate and not up to the task (or both). I am sure there are plenty of dentists that can clean teeth well but what sets this place apart is the overall environment. I can't believe that I am going to use the word ambiance for a dentist's office but seriously this place has great ambiance. When you walk in, the waiting area is calm and quiet. Beautiful stonework and tile with a calming water feature. This all really helps make it easy on someone like me who gets extreme anxiety about going to the dentist. The office staff are all courteous and competent. They even have baked goods and coffee available in the mornings. And an assortment of bottled water, even Perrier (which I love!) in a little fridge. In the treatment rooms, they continue the calming vibe with low music and videos of beautiful travel destinations. It gives your mind something to focus on instead of what is going on in your mouth. Typical of most dentists, it seems like the hygienist does most of the work at a regular visit. The ones here are all so knowledgeable and professional, they seem better than most dentists at other places. All the ones I have seen are extremely friendly as well. A couple years ago I had to have an old filling replaced. The insurance I had at the time didn't cover it and so I "shopped around" and got estimates from a few different dentists. I was disappointed at the idea of having to go somewhere else for the work but to my surprise Parkside came out the cheapest! Dr. Gombert did a fantastic job and made the procedure as painless as possible (both physically and emotionally). Fortunately now the insurance I have considers Parkside a preferred dentist so I can go here practically for free. I will continue going to this dentist for as long as I live in Phoenix. read more

I had never had such an awesome dentist in my life until I was 29 and started seeing Dr. Gombert. Not only is he a fantastic dentist, he does amazing cosmetic dentistry as well. I never liked my smile my entire adult life. I had "spotty" and stained teeth due to genetics. Once my adult teeth grew in, they had this unflattering character. I did not get braces like I should have in my early adolescence. My teeth were very crooked, especially on the bottom. I decided to do whitening and get Invisalign at age 30-31. Although Invisalign corrected my bottom teeth, I still had issues with my top teeth. Dr. Gombert suggested traditional braces. At that point I had given up and decided to stop the Invisalign and not do the traditional braces. I was still unhappy a few months later and decided that Veneers was my best option. Dr. Gombert did an amazing job and I have never been so confident about my smile. My teeth are beautiful and my smile is one of my best features. Amazing, truly talented and an artist in his field. I recently had 10 upper veneers placed and this was my first experience with Dr. Gombert and his team. After months of research and multiple consultations, I chose Dr. Gombert for the procedure. His fees for the service were on the upper end (not outrageous and definitely inline with top board certified dentists) but, when it comes to my teeth and smile money wasn't my primary deciding factor. I confirmed he does use top of the line products and they are AZ local. I felt extremely comfortable with him from our first visit. He was honest about the results and, since it was strictly for cosmetic reasons, did offer other options that would be more cost effective if timing wasn't a concern. He gave me all the disclaimers up front as far as preparation, treatment, timeline, pain factor and answered every question and concern I had very truthfully. After both procedures, he called me to see how I was feeling, both on Friday night and Saturday. He is just all around a very nice and caring man. In addition, his staff was beyond warm and welcoming. On my first visit to the office, the front desk ladies greeted in a friendly manner, almost as if I was a client for years. Lori was very lively and put me at ease when signing off on thousands of dollars for cosmetic work. Most of his staff have also had work done by Dr. Gombert and they all look beautiful. The office is very clean and inviting with a waiting room stocked with Keurig coffee and bottle water. The experience was just a bonus, my results were way beyond my expectations. My visit here was amazing! I've recently moved from CA and was in need of a dentist and found him on here. I saw all of the great reviews and decided to give it a try. Sure enough the reviews prove to be worth the trip! The building is so nice and beautifully decorated, it truly makes you feel welcomed. Im not one to love the dentist either but the staff were so friendly and nice and they really make you feel comfortable. One of the things I liked the most was the fact that they are gentle with your teeth and gums and they don't poke you around either. I am scared of dentists no more! I went to Dr. Gombert for the first time just a few weeks ago. I do NOT like dentists so have not been to one in 5 years. Well I walk in to a beautiful office and the staff was super welcoming. The hygienist was lovely and smiled a lot. Then comes in Dr. Gombert... his smile and friendliness put me at ease. He was gentle and so informative. He prioritized what I 'needed' to get done.
