This is about the greasiest bunch of crooks I've ever dealt with. DO NOT USE THEM! I went in for a routine cleaning and told them I only had the $1K that my Medicare/Medicaid covered. So they proceeded to tell me that it would be sufficient- then, after only cleaning HALF of my teeth- as in the left side of my mouth, they stopped and told me that in order to make my insurance work that I would have to come back to receive the right side. Printed out a bs quote they had no intention of upholding. So after going a couple weeks with only half of my teeth cleaned I came back for the other side - totally expecting them to uphold our agreement. After they finally finished with the other side of my mouth they proceeded to bill me out of pocket for several hundred more dollars..... FOR A CLEANING - a cleaning g that took them a month to do. They were well aware I was on disability and a fixed limited income well before I sat down in the chair in the first place. Has anyone ever heard of a dentist that practices this way? Clean half your teeth, and make you come back on the understanding that that was the only way they could bill my insurance correctly and me being stupid enough to not blow a gasket when they pulled me out of the chair. But I instead trusted them - and came back for them to finish weeks after - and getting slapped with a bill that they knew I could not afford nor what I agreed to. Fixed income, disabled - and cannot work - ZERO INCOME. Also - go ask every other dentist office in America if that's a common practice or if it's allowed under law - and they billed all $1000 dollars from my insurance - the max I had, and then send the hundreds of dollars to collections making an unemployed disabled person's credit take a hit over their greasy dishonest practice. I've got all the paperwork ready to go if anyone would like to see. They are CROOKS 100% DO NOT USE THESE CROOKS - they are being reported to the appropriate place and I will gladly share the proof with anyone doubting. We were shopping around for a new dentist since my husband and I didn't like our old one and it wasn't close anymore. Husband has had numerous teeth issues and is now needing one extracted. We called Today to see if they offer in-house tooth extraction and they do! No one answered my call initially but I left a voicemail and they called me back the next morning. We were happy with the customer service of the ladies at the reception desk and Dr Legult. The tooth has to come out, costing us $300 out of pocket (we don't have dental insurance). Today offers a dental plan for $225 I believe which covers X-rays and cleanings 2x a year and a discount on further special services. Their prices are higher than other dentist in the area. For example, it would cost us $140 to have his tooth removed at our old dentist who is off Beach Street compared to $300 here. Just as a note in case anyone who reads this is cash pay as well. So far we are pleased with Today though! I'll update if anything changes once he has the procedure, I have high hopes :) read more

They started out amazingly, very nice job with teeth cleaning. Then my issues started with them and I don't know what to do. August 21st, second molar from the back had ended up breaking while I was eating, I immediately called my dentist and they said the surgeon wouldn't be in till the next day. They took me in to look at the broken tooth and suddenly said I needed three root canals instead of just one like they had originally planned.  They said I can come in tomorrow to work on the tooth and so I made an appointment to get my root canal done. When I came in August 22nd at 8:35am, they set up to work on my tooth while the receptionist kept showing pictures of my broken tooth and how it needed work, which I was already made aware of. I clarified that I wanted the broken tooth fixed immediately because what if I'm eating again and it broke even further and didn't have the medical funds to cover it if they decided to do more expensive work.  They agreed and I went in, they numbed me up and started working on the tooth. I didn't even notice till I got in the car to look in the mirror at the root canal work and realized they had not even touched the broken tooth and it actually looked worse than when I had went in. They were not gentle I assume but due to being numbed up, I guess I didn't notice.  I was very upset and went in to talk to the receptionist about how I am worried about the broken tooth specifically, she said the one in front of it had a bad infection and that I shouldn't worry about my broken tooth because it was still "mineralized". Then why did it break? She suggested I get tooth putty from over the counter at any store. I was even more upset when they brushed me off and I immediately tried contacting the corporate line but the lady on the phone said there was no corporate line or email and that she would relay my distress to a "higher up" and then that higher up would contact me and then she hung up. Update: August 27th, went in for a slight smell of infection in my last molar and concerned, wanting them to clean it or schedule a cleaning for my entire mouth because I missed last month's due to a big move. I went in, they took my blood pressure, prescribed me antibiotics. Saying they didn't need to look at it and I expressed more concern, asking to take a look back there to see if it's merely a gum inflammation and mild infection, or if I need that tooth addressed and also asked for them to look at my root canal because I've had jaw pain past 3 days of my root canal which I was told may be abnormal and wanted to ensure that it was healing okay to reduce my anxiety. I saw the doctor visibly shrug and said I shouldn't worry about it because it's probably my bad molars in the back and I quote "It's probably your molars in the back, they're in pretty bad shape." Didn't even look at it, didn't even try to do anything, just stood a couple feet away from me the entire time he was talking and I wasted my breath and had to get there for nothing. And I've tried seeking help from dental events that off free or low cost work because because I'm insured and not at "poverty level" I was rejected. read more

We called ahead of time to make sure that the practice was in network Cigna provider. Was informed by my insurance and by the office that they were in network. After service we received a much bigger bill than expected. The office said that they were charging extra, as an in network provider, because their office is in a different zone with the insurance. I called Cigna and they stated that there is no such thing as a zone, that the location has in network dentists and that when we informed Today Dental, that we had Cigna and inquired that they were in network, that Today Dental should have connected us with an in network dentist. Said it had nothing to do with zoning and that the procedure should be covered. Called the Today Dental office again and this time they advised that the dentist that they assigned us, was not in network and had said that they gave us an estimate prior to service. That is not true. We would never have agreed to pay out of network fees. Especially, since we called to make sure that they were in network, prior to making the appointment. We didn't even think of getting an estimate, because we were told everything was in network and we knew that we would get the best rates by using an in network facility. Cigna called the office to find out why they didn't set the appointment with one of the approved dentists that is listed on the provider list. The office admitted to Cigna that the dentists on the provider list aren't active dentists, and that those dentists only work on a PNR basis. The Cigna respresentive was shocked to hear this confession, has an appeal in process for the over billing of out of network charges and is escalating the case to find out why the office is fraudulently claiming to have in network Cigna dentists on site when that isn't true. We would never had used this facility had they been honest with us about not having an active duty in network Cigna dentist. This was a total bait and switch that they did on us and now are expecting us to pay out of network fees. Our out of pocket cost should be around $500 (which we already paid $530) and they are billing us more than $1100. RIDICULOUS!!! I would never recommend this facility to anyone. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! These people are absolute scammers. They tried to charge me $2400 for a deep cleaning which should be majority covered by my insurance. Needless to say, I walked out not receiving any service was just given this quote. Fast forward a month and a half a I receive an unexpected claim on my insurance for over $500 of the supposed work they did for me that day. (all I had done was x-rays and this is an in-network provider on my insurance.) PLEASE PLEASE do not waste you time and money going here. read more

This is the best Dentist office in the area! Great doc, great staff, always able to fit you in if something comes up, and everyone is incredibly friendly and comforting. I hate the dentist and out off going for a couple of years and I unfortunately had to go for problem teeth. They made every step easier for me!
