I had a positive experience here. One I had no idea that printing could get as technically as it does but I am glad I came here. I ordered some prints from Esty and had no idea what I had gotten myself into. One the prints are cheap but the printing is pricey but the ladies worked their magic to keep the price reasonable by suggesting certain paper weights (who knew that was a thing) and matte or gloss, bleed or no bleed. Talking about mind blown. The staff here is incredibly knowledgeable. They assisted me with everything literally and I am truly grateful. Raeisha Thank you, you are a Godsend!!! I found this place online, as I was thinking I would try and a support a local business since I just needed a small job done. If it were to work out as planned, I would have a new go-to for my printing needs. Well, it didn't work out as planned. It was just not a good experience in general, unfortunately. I called for information before sending in my order, and to be frank the gentleman on the phone was curt near to the point of rudeness. Short answers, and little in the way of any really helpful information. I should have gone in a different direction then and there, but I decided to give it a try anyway. Well that was a mistake. My request was for a digital image to be printed on card stock. I followed the instructions I was given and created a .pdf to ensure correct sizing. While the size was just right, the print was both darker and blurrier than the original. The young lady at the counter suggested that I look at the resolution, but that shouldn't be an issue at 300 ppi and 4961x3508 from the source image. Meanwhile, the guy who took my order only spoke up once while I expressed my displeasure, to confirm that the pdf is what was used for the print. No checking to see how it could be made right, no apologies. After a few minutes I just paid for my order and left; even though what I received is useless to me. They still did the work and deserve the money. But they don't deserve yours! From customer service down the line to product, I assure you - you can, and should, do better. read more

Sean printed five pieces for me. There was never proof provided; it was just an email to come pick up. Two of the six were flawed. I was polite, but he tried to force me to pay for them. The black backgrounds had white specks and visible areas of spotting. When I declined but still wanted the other prints, he raised his voice, said he did not want my business, and threatened to put his hands on me if I did not leave. I called the police, who never showed up. (Live in Dekalb County at your own risk.) Sean ultimately threw my car keys at me. Both the threat and the keys are assault, but again, the police never came, and he sped away. Do business here as a woman at your own risk. Whether misogyny or racism, if you are unhappy, you will be disrespected here. It's even more sad because another male was there and said nothing. read more

Came here to take a passport size photo for my kid. Since the first photo had the hair messed up asked for a retake. The person taking the picture sounded very irritated that I asked for a retake. Then the picture was retaken and the person started printing the picture and it didn't meet the US Passport specifications. In front of that salesperson was a sample that clearly showed where the face needed to be on the photo - yet the person either ignored that or never saw it The person taking the picture didn't have any understanding of the US passport photo specifications - and just seemed irritated to have us there. When I tried to show him the US passport website he didn't seem interested. We used to come here since we liked the service and since we wanted to support neighborhood businesses - but after this experience we won't be giving them our business. read more

My product turned out as expected which was great. However, it was a day late after they assured me it would be done on time. Not the biggest deal but I expressed multiple times that the timing was important to me Then when I came to pick it up and pay, they tried to charge me 150% more than they quoted me just days ago. The guy that gave me the quote claimed he didn't remember giving me a quote and then tried to convince me that this project was way harder than they thought which is why they went over. Which one is it? You didn't give me a quote or you went over budget? Unprofessional and very frustrating as a customer to get bs like that. He ended up giving me the original price after some back and forth. Quite literally a day late and a dollar short. I won't be using them again. read more

Once I sent them the PDF they have the invitations printed within a couple of hours. Let's be honest, for you designers out there, having to turn around a print job in a hurry is one of your greatest fears. It's what was keeping me up nights, and finally turned me onto Toco Instant Printing. I had a project with multiple pieces on multiple paper stocks that I needed fulfilled and was worried it wouldn't be done by the deadline I was given. Enter a helpful coworker who said, "I usually use Toco Instant Printing. They're good and fast." And that's good enough for me. I called on a Thursday morning asking about the turnaround time for the job I had in mind (many printers require a bit of notice to complete big jobs, which is why I was concerned). The helpful man on the phone, Todd, indicated that it was only a 1-day job for them and I could expect to have it completed by my Friday deadline. Sure enough, in less than 24 hours, my job was completed with a great deal of detail and follow-up from TIP's staff. Price was reasonable, and I was completely fine with paying the cost, especially since it was last-minute. I took a small painting in to get a high quality scan of, and see about getting prints made. It was like pulling teeth. His answers were short, as if it was the last thing on earth he would want to do. He spoke in very technical terms, and I had to ask him several times to break it down as to what it meant. (I don't understand how their computers and printers work together, what resolution or color setting it should be on, what kind of pixels to use, paper is best, etc). I was hoping, being an experienced business as they so proclaim, they would be able to offer me some advice. After a rather frustrating front end of the conversation, he did spend some time trying to get the scan and print how I wanted. The print turned out very skewed, although the computer scan I have is great. They could have been so much more accommodating. I felt like I was bothering them, or stupid for asking them to explain technical terms. They could have had all my print making business, but I will be taking it elsewhere. read more

A friend from work recommended Toco Instant Printing to me when I had an Emmy emergency. At the last minute, I had to reprint my Emmy presentation for character design which meant I needed really nice prints of my art work. When I first walked in to Toco Instant Printing, I was a little skeptical because it has a very mom and pop feel to the place and did appear to be state of the art. They quickly put my fears to rest however. I explained what I needed and they were very helpful showing me paper stock options and sample prints. They ended up printing my 20 page presentation in less than an hour and it came out beautifully, and this is the best part: The price? $11 !!! I was expecting $30 minimum. For my first presentation I made an apple book via iphoto. I have to say that their prints were much better than apple's, plus faster and cheaper. These printers are absolutely fabulous! They are the old school kind of printers who actually work with you, instead of these silly FedEx/Office Store kiosks where you do your own work anyhow. I found Toco Printing using Yelp.com as I need scanning service while on the road. I called and got a reasonable quote over the phone. When i arrived, there were a couple of guests ahead of me. But I appreciated that the lady multi-tasked and scanned my documents while the other guests were uploading their file for print. Upon checkout, she charged a higher price than the quote I got over the phone, but she honored the price. It was a very pleasant experience. read more

After hunting for places to print my wedding invitations, I decided on a whim to stop by Toco Instant Printing because it's right by my house. Long story short, I was really impressed. The turnaround time was super quick- I put in my order around 9:30 that morning and it was ready by 1:00. Furthermore, the pricing was a LOT better than at other stores (i.e. printing AND paper was less than half of what it would have been at Sam Flax). The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because initially some of my prints were cut off center (because the digital file I gave them didn't have enough of a margin), but when I told them about it, they printed the entire order again (after fixing the margin problem) for free. ALL IN THE SAME DAY. Bottom line: Great prices, awesome customer service, and super quick turnaround time. You should hit them up. read more

Of course, it comes out too big, so the guy charges me anyway and tries to tell me that it would have been the same size either way. I told him I can't use this, he said "well I certainly don't need it". Wasted my money and the guy is obviously not concerned. What an unpleasant surprise. I used this firm in 2012 and had a seamless experience, but each visit on this project was worse than the next. Each time I was amazed at how condescending and bothered the two guys behind the counter. Definitely did not go out of their way to explain things to me or to try to get it right. I wouldn't have written this negative review if the only issue was rudeness. What put me over the edge was when I emailed, called and visited (but didn't get to talk to anyone because they were still closed 40 minutes after opening time) to talk about a possible change, and they still ran my order after promising they wouldn't until I saw a proof. If I could give this place 0 stars, than I would. We weren't even acknowledged after standing there for at least 5 minutes, so we figured we would sit down and proceed with self printing, hoping instruction or set up wasn't needed. The computer immediately froze twice, and had to be restarted. Once we could get it started, it was probably the slowest computer I've ever seen. It would have taken a full day to print out the full outline my fiancé needed for the bar exam. When we waited in line to ask the associate working about the computer freezing, he would not acknowledge us still, so we finally left. Was really hoping this place might have better service and fairer prices than a FedEx office, but clearly we were wrong. read more
