The woman who helped our twins with their first wine tasting, even though they were closing for the day, was wonderful! Would definitely recommend and go back again. Very friendly and helpful.

Second time enjoying Toccata Tasting Room. This is the sister winery to Lucas and Lewellen. Best part, the tasting rooms are right across the street from each other in the heart of Solvang. Toccata has a younger, modern, charm and vibe. They offer four different flight groupings, white wines, red wines, sweeter whites (i.e., moscatos) and a red/white blend. Our server, who I failed to properly meet (shame on me), was very knowledgeable and attentive. Needless to say, we enjoyed our time and wine at Tocatta and invested in a few bottles for future withdrawals.

There are about 4 sets of different wine tasting options that come with 6 tastings, priced around $20-25. I did the sweet wine tasting & my friend did the red wines. I'm not much of a wine drinker, because I love sweeter drinks. Honestly, I'm more of a Stella Rosa drinker. So, the sweet wine tasting at this place was amazing. The last drink in the sweet tasting even came with dark chocolate & tasted great while paired with the drink. I got to try a few different moscatos & they were great. Our favorite drink ended up being the Moscato Di Santa Barbara, it was so good we ended up buying a bottle to take home.

After tasting some wine across the street, we were referred to Toccata Tasting Room if we wanted a different style of wine. Toccata had dry, semi-sweet, sweet and dessert wines from Italy. We don't usually like these types of wines but the wines we tasted were all absolutely delicious. The different types of flavor and aromas really struck and we couldn't resist purchasing a few bottles like the Toccata Sparkling wine and the Late Harvest Moscato to float on the top of a glass of Champagne. The service at Toccata was excellent. Friendly and knowable, we were paired with wines we would most likely enjoy. I highly recommend visiting Toccata Tasting Room when you are in the heart of Solvang. I know we will be returning next time we are back up in the area.

A cute little Italian wine tasting room in Solvang, Ca. Our server was great and we highly recommend tasting the Pinot Noir! It was a group favorite.

2 for 1 wine tasting in Solvang! They serve a variety of Italian and French wines. They have 4 different tastings to choose from, priced from $15-20. They let us choose different tastings for half price. I tried the mixed tasting and my bf tried the whites. We both really liked their sole bianco. They have a small seating area which seems like it's for club members only. Felt a little exclusive IMO. Otherwise there is a large countertop for tastings.

Marc was the one who served us our tasting. He was great and incredibly informative...in more ways than one! He's an awesome guy to talk with...whether it was details on wine, his large collection of guns, knowledge on war facts, and so forth...I enjoyed his company. The wines were delicious and unique in their own way. I loved the detail of the menu and the explanations given for each wine. I would definitely make this a place to hit up again on my next visit to Solvang! I highly recommend their red tasting! PS military gets free tastings!

Tasting Menu! We had the Lista di Amore - a sweet tasting flight!

When I think of Solvang, I always remember three things. The bakeries, the windmills, and Toccata Tasting Room. The tasting room is small, intimate, and cute! Normally at any winery they always give you info on the wine that you're drinking but on this particular day, they just named and poured the wine and left. This was okay but I guess something to keep in mind if you prefer that. We had the sweet wine flight, Lista di Amore and each wine just left you wanting more. If you are more of a sweet wine person, this is the place for you! The first time I came to this tasting room two years ago, I fell in love with their sweet wines especially one of my favorites wines to date - Moscato di Santa Barbara. You can ask anyone, one sip of that wine and I immediately told them to bring the bottle for purchase. Pro Tip - if you taste here, you can visit their sister tasting room Lucas & Lewellen down the street and get 50% of a flight there and vice versa!

This menu is ridiculously good. I'm so glad we "happened" upon this place. Outdoor seating, plenty of room. Everyone wears a mask. They are wonderful here. I really enjoyed this place and their wines. Thank you Cindy and Jill for being so kind to myself, my boyfriend, and my two pups! Ended up taking 3 bottles, and the next day, I had to come back for an entire case of the wine I fell in love with.

There are many gourmet cheeses, meats, olive oils, whole bean coffees, wines and more. The woman behind the cheese counter invited us to try the cheese samples. There was a lavender cheese and the black cheese with lemon that caught my eye. I bought the black cheese with lemon. The shop associate told me that the black color comes from licorice powder yet you cannot taste the licorice, only the lemon. There were many things I wanted to buy but had to have control. I love that a mother and daughter team run the shop and I loved hearing the mother speak Danish to an older woman that is one of their regular customers. I tried to have a conversation about her cheese selection asking for suggestions and she was terribly rude for no reason at all. You can easily buy most of her cheeses from Trader Joe's for half the price and without being spoken down to as a cutomer. There's plenty of other shops in Solvang with cheese and wine. We also did a beer tasting while we were here, and they were VERY generous with the pours into these adorable miniature pilsner glasses. When we were there, they did a tasting at the front of the store with six different wines. I knocked their grade down a star because they really gave us very little information about the wines -- no tasting notes, and you had to ask before they'd tell you the bottle cost. It just seemed like a customer service oversight. In the back of the store, the owner of the Waltzing Bear Winery poured three selections: two Pinots and a petite Syrah. Even considering I had already spent WAY too much money that day, I purchased a Pinot and a petite Syrah because they were so good! So, so good. The Syrah I'm going to save for a fat juicy grilled hamburger, and the Pinot will match perfectly with a nice ravioli. Good prices, too -- about $33-$45 for most of the wines, and they tasted as good or better than some $100 bottles I've had... Anyway, great store, even though some of the other customers were REALLY snooty. They looked at us (admittedly, the bride-to-be was wearing an incredibly tacky faux diamond headdress/veil monstrosity) like we were small children invading the store. One had an L.A. Times folded under his arm and stared down at us through his glasses, and I wanted to be like, "Um, this might not be immediately apparent, but all six of us are or used to be reporters for that paper...so don't look at us like we're dirt." But I didn't.
