I moved to Kirkland about 5 years ago and immediately missed my barber. I tried to commute an hour to my old barber but driving in this area is torturous. I wanted a competent local barber who communicated well. A comfortable environment would be icing for me. I went to a few different shops around the area and could not find a good match. Eventually, I came across TOC via Google Maps and scheduled the "first available" barber at my convenience. I got to the shop and Jeff was my barber. It's been about 4 years since then and I could not be happier. Jeff is an excellent barber, reliable, reasonable, and is easy to communicate with. If I don't like any part of a cut, I say something and it gets fixed. No sweat from Jeff and no sweat from me. It is our responsibility as the customer to get the product we want. TOC is a great barbershop and an important part of our marina community. Do yourself a favor and schedule a cut at TOC. You won't regret it. P.S. Ignore the hateful people who give 1 star reviews because they are petty individuals. Anytime you see a 1 star review longer than a few sentences, check that person's review history. I bet they constantly complain. I would even say it is more likely that they are unsatisfied in life and it has nothing to do with the business. Hateful people that only give 1 star reviews are not helping customers make better choices - they are just filling their own narcissism. read more

I've been a regular of Jeff's for two years; prior to him taking over as owner and you couldn't pay me to say a bad thing about TOC Cuts or my experiences there. Jeff is super personable and I've found myself enjoying catching up with him as much as I have getting the haircuts, which have always been amazing. I struggled finding a good spot to get a haircut since moving to Kirkland and after finding TOC Cuts, I refuse to go anywhere else. The quality, service, and atmosphere make it a gem for the area. I've gotten the straight razor shave and recommend it to everyone I meet. Thanks to Jeff and his staff for all that they do. If you're in need of a haircut or shave, this is the spot to go to! read more

Jeff, the owner, is amazing! I love his no bullshit but kind East Coast attitude, and honest answers to questions about my cut and style. I also like that a cut is less than most places in Kirkland by $10-20 depending on what you're getting (cut + beard shape up, etc). He's laser focused when he's cutting unlike some barbers that chat with everyone and constantly make you feel like you're not their focus. I always love my cut when I'm done and appreciate his humor. 10/10 would recommend, and I'm happy that I'm supporting an owner operated business in Kirkland. Thanks, Jeff! read more

I always go to Jeff when I need a cleanup between salon visits. He's super nice and really cares about his customers. I read something about the cost going up and all I would say is that everyone deserves to make a living wage. The cost of everything is more expensive. Rent goes up, utilities, everything. The prices are still reasonable. Go to a Supercuts or something if you want a cheap cut but I bet you won't be happy. Jeff, you do a great job and remember, you won't make everyone happy no matter what you do! Keep doing what you're doing and your customers will come back month after month. read more

New owner and renovated! Jeff always gives the best cuts and conversations. Really enjoy my hair cuts from here. Highly recommended. read more

I found TOC Cuts a few months ago and I am so glad I did. Jeff is a great guy and an excellent barber who charges very reasonable prices!

I've been going to Touch of Class for over 10 years, originally a client of Paul's and now Jeff's, in my opinion you would be hard pressed to find a better barber shop experience on the Eastside! Not only have they delivered on a phenomenal cut every couple weeks they are simply just great people as well. Would highly recommend taking the time to check out TOC and class up your life!! read more

The best haircut EVERY time! Jeff is my guy, he's a top notch pro, great conversation, always consistent, pleasant shop to be in, and can't beat the location/view. It took a while to find my "go to" shop, but I'm glad to have found TOC! read more

Raiden is the epitome of professionalism and relevance in the service of others through the sharp powerful razors guided by her aptitude. Her love for the arts of barber is definitely the best I have ever encountered. She was direct and creative in the realization of what I wanted for my hair. Not to mention how she went around safety hazards of this whole situation. She listened, suggested, and served with a great deal of humility, pride, and passion; the perfect combination of a professional. Will for sure come back! I recommend with my utmost candid desire for great service, skill, product, and outcome. Full send. read more

You really can't beat the price for a hair cut here. They all do a great job! There's usually no wait when you walk in. It takes a bit to find there new location because it's tucked away in the corner of the building. I've been floating around trying different "barbers" for almost 5 years. Different place call themselves barbers but their really stylists. After checking things out I finally found TOC. These guys are real barbers and they do an excellent job. Their truly worth every penny and they make you look and feel great. I highly recommend TOC for your next cut. read more

TOC Cuts - Best haircut in years. Theses guys are the real deal. - Barbers Near Me - Kirkland, Washington

I went with my room mate while he got his haircut here through his regular barber Raiden and immediately noticed the awesome location of the place. Being one of the closest buildings to the water, TOC Cuts allows for a great view and access to other businesses in downtown Kirkland. I followed his example and got a haircut with Raiden. She listened to all of my requests and goals for my hair and did so in a lighthearted, positive manner. Lastly, the Paul Mitchell products for sale are extremely reasonably priced; typically being 4$ cheaper than alternative salons/barbers. This place is a true hidden gem and I would highly recommend it to anyone! read more

I'm reluctant to let any other establishment touch my head and Ive been a regular here for almost 3 years. Jeff is the man. Go here. Period. Yelp has a minimum review length lol but please if you need a haircut, check out TOC

Recently came in for the first time and Raiden did a fantastic job with my hair. She was patient in explaining what she was doing and was happy to take extra care and time to get my hair exactly the way I wanted. The shop itself had a nice, homey feel to it as well unlike a lot of surrounding salons and shops. Great pricing as well. Highly recommended! read more

I'm really happy to have found this place. I now live across the sound, but make it a point to take the ferry over for my haircuts. I'm huge fan of Paul and Frank and I'm sure the rest of the staff are awesome; they're definitely very nice... I just can't change my preferred barber, now that I've found one that cuts my hair how I like and the Price is Right! Great service, great people, great price, great haircut= 5 stars, without a doubt! Cheers, keep up the great work guys/gals! read more

I come to Touch of Class once a month for a hair cut and a straight razor shave. I have been going to Peter; he does the job right and does quality work. In need for a major cut, I stopped in. I thought though it was a barber shop, the way my hair would be cut the same as I received at another Barber shop in the area. I will say in the end it turned out OK but I was not impressed with the "chair-side" manner of my Barber. From when I walked in, I could tell that they are trying to cater to guys. Lots of leather chairs, nice size TV...felt like a good place. My Barber and I'm sorry I don't remember her name (not Perri) sat me down and started cutting. I started to ask her questions about how she is doing it since it was so different then any haircut in the last 25 years. She informed me that she had only been cutting for about a year, that barbers cut with comb and scissors and dry. She just seemed annoyed that I was questioning her technique though I am the one that has to either get it fixed or walk around with a bad cut. For the price, it is a decent enough cut. I can see that it is not even in spots but I can live with it. With plenty of other shops in Kirkland, I probably won't be back here. read more

I scoped this place out on my way to another appointment. My boyfriend needed a real barber, because I was sick of the cost of the cheaper places, and I think he deserves the best. This place has great, friendly service. Even though I don't get my hair done here, I'm very happy with my boyfriend's cut, and the attentiveness that the barber gives us. read more

Having seen the sign that says that they offer hot towel shaves for several months, I finally made a trip to have a shave. Managed to come in during a slow period (apparently appointments are highly recommended) and was promptly seated with Ranae. She did a great job considering I had almost a full week of growth .... and more impressive is that she did it in 30 minutes compared to 45 minutes or more at other barbers. Service is great, Ranae and the other barber are very friendly and have a nice relaxing place. Only downside is parking, but not their fault so not going to ding them for this. Now for those of you who enjoy a hot towel facial shave, there is only two other locations I have found on the Eastside (all of the others have gone out of business), neither of which I am very pleased with since they charge twice as much as TOCB and frankly do a less than desirable job (the one in Kirkland is probably the worst since they slather on cold shaving products after the hot towel is removed, leading to skin irritation) I highly recommend TOCB, plus you can schedule your appointment online 24/7 rather than having to call them. read more

Raider hooked it up. First time walk in and I am very picky about my hair. She asked lots of questions to make sure we were on the same page, and then executed perfectly. Felt comfortable in her chair from the second I walked in. I can only speak for her as a stylist, but really top notch service. Highly recommended! read more

I've been to lots of hair salons and barbers in the area over the years, trying to find a good match - Great Clips, Earl's, Sport's Clips, Farzi Cuts, Hair Masters, etc. I never felt like the cost matched the value of haircut or that there was much connection between the barber and myself. A family member recommended A Touch of Class and I've been happy ever since. Perri and team provide great atmosphere, great service and for a good price. After a few visits I also learned how involved they are in the local community, it seemed like most of the businesses around would pop in to see if there was room on the schedule to get their hair cut. I'm glad I finally found the right fit and would recommend this business to anyone. It's also great to be a part of a business that values community and has such strong relationships with others in Downtown Kirkland read more

I was looking for somewhere local for my boyfriend and I to get our haircuts, since our last hairdresser flaked out on us recently. This place is convenient in downtown Kirkland, and you can schedule your appointments online with the ability to cancel your appointment up until 2 hours before you're scheduled! (This is a bonus to us since our personal schedules are often subject to last minute change.) The shop is well decorated and comfortable, without being too fancy or hip. The staff all seemed nice, and our appointments were with Greer. I love the haircut I received! She was talkative, asked interesting questions, and was very fun. She seemed to genuinely care about the community, her workplace, and appreciated her coworkers/boss. It was a great change of pace from hair places where people seem so unhappy all the time! My only con is that I wish they'd put something on their website to warn that they only take cash or check, but there's conveniently an ATM right across the street and several banks within easy walking distance. A big pro: many of the employees own or at least love dogs, and were super dog friendly. A lot of their clientele seem to have been coming there for a long time, local business men/women. read more

Got my second Head Shave and first Hot Towel Face Shave from Ranae. I've been shaving my head for years and Ranae is only the second person I have let shave it for me and she did an excellent job both times. The Face Shave was great as well. I think all men should have a professional shave with a straight razor at least once. If you haven't excerienced it you should set up an appointment. This is an art from that could die out and it would be a shame. read more

The secret is out!! If you have been looking for a barber not a hair stylist, LOOK NO FURTHER. Paul and Frank have what is takes to bring the Old School Barbershop back with new styles. I first visited this place 6 months back for a hair cut and I have been in love with this place ever since then. Just $20 for a haircut at a place that is located in the heart of Kirkland Waterfront? That's insanely cheap and worth every penny for its quality. Paul is THE man you should go to. He owns this place and he knows exactly what he's doing and deliver what you are expecting for. Try this place and you won't regret it. read more

Just left this barbershop. It was my first time so I wasn't sure exactly what to expect, but it surely wasn't what I got. I came in and saw Paul doing a great job on another patron. He told me he was booked for the next few hours but that his other barber would be back soon. Since I had not been to a traditional barber before and had heard good things about this shop I figured I would wait for the other barber to return. She came back with another person and it seemed as if she had planned to cut his hair. I wasn't in a huge rush as a walk-in and hadn't been there long, so I would have gladly waited for her to take care of them first, but she quickly sat me down. This normally would seem like a good thing, but this was the fastest haircut experience of my life and it just seemed like she was rushing it. Paul even commented on this as she walked me over to pay. I had actually wanted to get a mustache and beard trim as well, but with the way she hastily cut my hair I didn't want to add any more risk to the situation. I honestly feel I would have had a more attentive experience at great clips for 1/3 the price and a similar or better cut. I decided to visit a barber because my hairline has started to mature and I wasn't sure what to do. I guess it's partially my fault for being so inexperienced, nonconfrontational, and having a tough time with thick accents. My hair is still too long in the back, is lacking any real defined shape, and has some uneven spots, plus I still need a beard trimming. Lesson learned: I should have just waited for Paul. :( Oh and I almost forgot to mention the fact that she didn't even dust off my neck/ shoulders so I've got hair in my shirt and jacket and get to spend the rest of the day itchy. PS: I gave two stars instead of just one because I saw a great haircut walk out of the shop before I got mine. read more
