I love that when I'm waiting in the car for my son, they come out to say hi. You can tell they genuinely care. I also notice how they interact with customers--always smiling and making people feel welcome. They really listen and do exactly what the customer asks for. This place does get busy so plan accordingly, however they move pretty quickly. Place is clean, Mo the owner is awesome, friendly and treats every single customer like family. Everyone is nice, especially the guy who says hi to everyone. Second time here. First time was a nice cut, but shorter than what I asked. This time around it was even worse, felt like what I asked for didn't happen. I even provided a reference pic of myself and it just looks poorly done. I was very specific on what I was asking and it just seems like it was rushed due to the amount of people there. Cut was about 10 minutes give or take, if that. For the price of $50+$10 tip. Been coming here since I've moved to Bellevue and couldn't have been more satisfied. It's walk ins mostly and the overall vibe is really chill. You can tell that all the employees get along with each other as well as the customers. They're super kind. They usually have 3 people working at a time (at least from my experiences) so the turnaround time is pretty quick without sacrificing quality. I always get a medium skin fade and a little bit off the top and I trust them each time wholeheartedly to make my hair look good, and it always does! I leave satisfied every time. The guy almost removed my entire beard that took me over a year to grow. I never write any reviews but this was the worst barber experience I've ever had. I gave him a picture of what I wanted it to look like, he never asked any questions and ended up interpreting the picture the wrong way. **NOT KID FRIENDLY**SOME OF THE BARBERS DIDN'T HAVE THEIR LICENSE DISPLAYED, only one did.. the main guy taking the money...It's been hard to find a good barber in the east side Bellevue area. I heard about this place through a friend so I took my 11yr old son for a line up.. the music playing was not kid friendly, there was mom there with her son and she was uncomfortable as well..I get a barber shop vibe but not during the day, around 1-2pm on a Friday.. let's put that on after 6 or 7 but even then it's not professional...we will try another place.. read more

No complaints with the service or the work. And they are a small business which is a plus. I don't see myself coming back. I can't get my head around spending $42 for a beard trim that takes 10 minutes. I didn't take the cost of the service into account when giving 5 stars. I wanted a shave fade with the parting line, and I came here honestly because it was the closest place to me. I left wow'd. It was quite possibly the best fade I've ever had. There's plenty of places to get your haircut in Bellevue. Of those places, there are good places, some are okay, some are great. Some are cheaper than others, some you might have to take out a second mortgage to pay for. I've seen spots with 10 TVs, some have 10 hair wash stations. Some are swanky and some are danky. Some of the folks that cut hair do it as a job, some as business owners, some do it because it pays the bills. Then there's Uppercuts Barbershop. A no frills no thrills kind of shop - just great haircuts. MJ hooked me up today and the dude is a magician. He does it with passion and understanding and a love for his craft. Let me preface that I get my haircut every two weeks. I've paid $5 for a haircut and i've paid $150 for one too. I've been loyal to my previous stylist for 10 years but because I live too far away now it's hard to get in for a weekday cut without driving for an hour each way. So for the last year and a half, i've been on the search for a new go-to. In those two years, i've been to about 18 different shops and here I found Uppercuts that recently opened and this IS THE SPOT! MJ is quick but precise. He's energetic but not rushing. He's careful and tweaks things to perfection. He doesn't just cut it, he understands it. The why you cut this way, why you fade that way, why you comb it this way, why you style it that way. He takes the idea that i want and he perfect its. A master of his craft. Also he's one of the few... very very few that still does a straight edge finish as well.
