Yes, it's on the higher end price-wise, but they're completely upfront about pricing both on their website and during booking so there are no surprises. Booking online is super easy and quick and there was a lot of availability. I had my haircut with Diana, and she was fantastic. She has a wonderfully calm and attentive demeanor, listened carefully to what I wanted, and took her time to get every detail just right. The whole appointment felt relaxed and unhurried, which made a big difference. The cut itself turned out perfect and I love it. The shop is clean, modern, and the staff are friendly and professional. We arrived a few minutes early for a 10:30 appointment, but there was no one at the front desk to check us in. We waited several minutes (now past our appointment time) until I finally popped my head around the corner and asked the stylist if there was anyone to check us in. She impolitely replied that someone would be out soon. She and her client then proceeded to discuss how "didn't he see that she was in the middle of something?" She then told him how they don't have a front desk person on Sunday's. Apparently I'm rude for simply asking to be checked in? No one had even said anything simple like "Hi, we'll be out shortly to get you checked in". No acknowledgement that we had even entered the business. My husband had been working very hard for a couple of weeks, so I just wanted to treat him to a signature beard trim at Weldon. I made an appointment with Bobbie because she was listed as a "master barber", and a little bit more expensive than the other barbers on staff. She was very nice and my husband said that he really enjoyed the service she provided. I was a little disappointed to hear that when she was shaving she cut him across the Adam's apple (a big fear for him) and there were quite a few razor burns left behind. She gave him a discount because of the cut but of course we'd rather have not been cut. He runs a summer camp and will be face-to-face tomorrow with the parents of 150 students. His previous barber totally screwed up his hair but luckily she was able to fix it . It's a little pricey , but I think it's worth it . We'll...I've been coming to Weldon for over a year now for bi-weekly cuts. What I can say is this is by far the best men's barbershop in Issaquah and Sammamish. Been seeing Bobby for most of my time there but have had a few others cut my hair and each experience was superb. The skin fades are actually that -- razored to the skin -- as opposed to some who take the clippers down to a zero and call it good. Great selection of services and products. Weldon is a commercial chain, though. But while the look and feel of the interior feels a bit corporate, the folks actually wielding scissors and razor blades are warm and real. read more

DISHONEST SERVICE Did Not Get Value For High Price Paid Went here twice. Both with high hopes of pampered treatment and a superior haircut. What I got both times was an average haircut that could be had at any $20 place; but they charge $50. Then they don't give you anything like the advertised time. Though not crowded, I had to wait 15 minutes past my appointment time. I paid for the "Weldon Signature Haircut". It is advertised at 30-45 mins for $48 - $58. Then surprised with a different hair cutter than I was scheduled with, who rushed through cutting my hair in 15 minutes? So I paid for minimum 30 minutes and was given only 50% of the service? How stupid would I be to go back a third time? I left feeling totally ripped off. (this is written a few months after incident; and, I still feel aggravated everytime I see this shop). I had booked an appointment on Friday for Sunday, and I was told my appointment was at 12:30 pm and the person who would be taking care of me has lunch at 1 and she might be able to take me earlier. I was coming in because am starting a new position on Monday. I had a call this morning and the person said my appointment was at Noon. It seems not the first time confusion with Weldon Issaquah. She said the person who was scheduled for me had to go home and they could not accommodate me today. You've got to set your expectations right when shelling out 50 to 60 bucks for a haircut. Guys used to spending $20 on an economy class haircut expect business class treatment for $50. But if you are happy with a $20 haircut (like me) you will be dissatisfied with a $50 haircut at Weldon because you get the following for the additional $30: a shampoo, a five minute head massage, and a well-trained barber that will give you a symmetrical haircut. I walked in at this branch an hour from closing time on a weekday, and they accommodated me as the last customer for one of their barbers for the day. I waited half an hour and was offered coffee/tea/water. Most of the customers had come in with an appointment, and after their payment were asked whether they'd like to schedule their next haircut 4-6 weeks out or come back for a 'clean-up cut' 3-4 weeks later. When it was my turn, the barber greeted me and ushered me to the chair. When asked I gave directions on what I was thinking of getting done (fairly straightforward haircut). I got the signature cut which is $48, and with a 25% tip it came to $60. I think this is the most expensive haircut I have gotten and it was not worth it for me - I left feeling the value for the service received was $35-45. A few days later, I am still happy with the haircut (which is mostly not the case a few days after my usual $20 Great Clips haircut). The service was professional, I had a good conversation with the barber, and I paid a decent tip. I was not offered to make the next appointment, like every other customer I had observed while waiting for my turn was offered, which I feel makes my not returning to Weldon a mutual decision. read more

The cuts, our stylist, and front desk staff are great! Ease of scheduling and timing service. This might have been as isolated experience, though but last time we were there, something very weird happened. One of the stylist, not ours, approached my 12 year old son while sitting on the chair in the waiting area , leaning against the armchair watching TV ( Tv is on the side so that's the only way you can watch TV) and told him he needs to sit straight as these are leather sofas and it gets ruined. I apologized and asked my son to do so as well. Once she was gone, my son asked me why he and I apologized for something he didn't do wrong, I agreed but told him it's a private establishment and you have to respect the rules. However, that didn't leave a good impression on a professional place. This place cuts kids hair and while I totally agree that one should not destroy the property, asking customer to sit a certain way because the furniture is not suitable or too pricey was a bit weird to us. If the stylist we work with wasn't as awesome as she is, I am not sure if I would return. Not sure if that had anything to do with the fact that we switch the stylist or not as the person approaching my son was a previous styler. Sometimes we venture into territory where my ideas exceed the reality; and Dorri let's me know. I recently had my hair cut by Torri, while Dorri was on vaction.
