I think she gives everyone the same kind of haircut, which is why the reviews are so good here. I showed her a picture of what I wanted multiple times and she cut WAY more than made sense. In fact, I said I DID NOT want my sideburns touched (they're not long, barbers just tend to completely over cut there, so I prefer to cut it myself at home after the haircut). She repeatedly said "You don't want the sideburns cut?" in a tone that wasn't nice, before eventually just remarking that it should be cut. I regretfully gave into the pressure and said "Okay, but I just want it trimmed please. I DO NOT want it shaved." She then proceeded to shave them, unevenly, might I add. I am very upset with this haircut, but I kept a smile on and remained cordial. I said thank you, even told her that it looked good, paid in full, and left with a (fake) smile. I did not ask for a difficult haircut whatsoever. In fact I asked for just VERY SLIGHT trim. All I hope for when I get a haircut is that the barber respects my request and doesn't give me the haircut they want to give over the one I literally ask for. Now, my sideburns are uneven, my hair is way shorter than I asked for, and I'm out some money. It'a one of those haircuts where you go "Not only was this a waste of money, but my hair looked fine before." Only a bad barber can do that. I may sound overdramatic, but a haircut is like an outfit you can't change until it grows out, which takes time. So if you're given a bad haircut, you have to wear it until you can get it recut by someone else who hopefully does a better job. Will not be coming back and will be letting friends know not to go either. Very disappointed with the haircut. If you're getting a fade or some kind of really short haircut, this may be the place for you. But for everyone else, I would strongly advise to stay away.

She takes her time to understand your hair type, growth cycles, texture, scalp health and how it might take to color. Color My goal was always to use balayage to add some natural dimension with my hair and to minimize the streaky look with grow out. I went from having to come in for a balayage 3 times a year at other salons to 1x/year, maybe 2 times if I want it to look great for an event or if I didn't want to have to sit in for a full balayage appointment. I have long and very thick straight hair, previous colors have gone brassy and I've never had that happen with Jenn's work. She also taught me how to better care for the color in a way that fits my lifestyle over trying to sell me on super expensive products. Cut She takes the time to understand how my hair grows out, which meant I committed to a few cuts with her to really dial in what cut will work with my hair and side swept bangs so that it doesn't grow out shaggy OR heavy. Because my hair is so thick and straight, my bangs typically will grow out and feel heavy leading me wanting to trim it every 2 weeks. With the way she has cut and styled my bangs, I'm able to extend that to a bang trim anywhere between a month to 1.5 months. When it comes to layering the rest of my hair, we've dialed it into a cut every 3-6 months depending on growth and sun exposure. Cut - Men's She also cuts my husband's hair. Yes she will take her time, but for someone who has thinning hair, a regular fade and buzz doesn't always work with his hair because you can see the fade lines. Jenn leads her cuts with education and my husband finally takes care of his scalp and hair as he's noticed a big difference in his hair health with Jenn's support. She's passionate about the art of cutting and styling hair and she's amazing at what she does. Booking in advanced is key as her schedule does fill up.
