Amazing food! The chicken tikka masala is my favorite and my husband loves the red curry. Their samosas are SO delicious.

We ordered the goat biryani, Maharaja Punjabi Dal and Baigan Bharta with a tandoori roti. Each of these dishes were delicious! Both came with fresh white basmati rice. Clifton was very kind to adjust the spice levels for us when the Bharta turned out too spicy. He was very attentive and checked on us a few times to make sure we are enjoying our dinner! We saw him working very hard with all the other guests too. He was preparing cocktails, & drinks etc. while attending to all guests! What we liked most was that the food had a home made quality, and it did not upset our gastrointestinal systems! :) The restaurant ambiance is good. The cutlery and glassware were clean! Overall, If you are looking for a good Indian Restaurant then Jaipur Palace is very good in Austin!! The prices are very attractive in these times! We hope it stays this! Thanks again for a lovely hospitality Mr. Clifton! We will visit again soon! Ria/Tony

Portions are very generous and can easily have enough for 2-3 meals. The rice was nice and fluffy and the sauce was very rich in flavor. The Vegetable Pakora was by far the favorite. Nice and crunchy outside. The sauces each paired wonderfully with the dusting of spices/herbs. Not pictured but also got the Mithai Chaat and it was alright, would suggest picking a different dessert.

We started with the puff samosas, which were surprisingly large and very filling. The crust was perfectly crispy and packed with a generous amount of flavorful filling. Since we're vegetarian, we had to double-check a few items--some curries are made with chicken stock (for example, we wanted the Malvani egg curry but couldn't get it because of that). The staff was helpful in clarifying what was vegetarian. We ended up ordering the Millionaire's Curry and were able to get it with tofu for extra protein, along with jalapeño naan and rice. The portions were more than enough for two people who weren't super hungry. The naan was really delicious, with nicely crisped edges, and the curry was rich, comforting, and full of flavor. Overall, everything we tried was delicious, the portions were generous, and we appreciated the flexibility for vegetarians. Definitely planning to come back and try more items next time.

It was easy to count since it was so little. And a side of rice. It felt like I was mostly just eating rice, and for $18 I would like more substance. I don't think it would hurt them to add a few more pieces of meat and veggies into the curry. The lunch special on the wall seemed to be the same thing except it also came with like 5 other items for the same price, so maybe only come during lunch?

Started with the Garlic Naan. Heard it was pretty good and I definitely agree. Not only was the bread hot with crispy edges, the flavor of the garlic wasn't too strong but definitely evident and tasty. The Garlic Naan at the south location tasted a tad strange and wasn't as flavorful as the one in the north location, but that may just be an anomaly. My entree was the Dhaba Mutton Curry. You can't say no to bone-in goat. I try to eat different things at restaurants, but after loving it the first time, I had to get it again. The bone-in goat meat is truly tender with occasional pieces of fat. You can really separate the pieces with a spoon. The curry sauce is delicious with just the right consistency to bind with the rice. This dish opened my eyes to the world of goat meat. Seriously. So good. The entree also came with saag paneer (similar to creamed spinach). I don't often rant about vegetables, but this stuff is super delicious. Mix it in with the rice or just eat it by itself, I just can't have enough of it. Can we get endless refills on this? I wanted to ask our waiter, but wimped out. There is an issue with their service though. In the south Austin location, there were only 4 tables with customers, including mine. However, the service was especially slow, specifically after the meal. After showing the waiter our voucher, he put it back down on the table and left. 15 minutes would then go by until they took our voucher again and returned with our check. That's 15 minutes of my party and me aimlessly chatting and glancing around the restaurant. In a near-empty restaurant, speed of service was the last thing I expected to encounter. Other than that, the staff was very friendly and our water glasses were always full.

My order: Sizzling tikka with Paneer Meen polichathu Madurai parota with veg salna The paneer looked great, presentation was amazing but it did not have any salt! It was not consumable without the side chutney but that was running and not thick in consistency. The meen polichathu was so bitter and gave me a puke. It also had blood stains so the fish wasn't prepped well. The parota was alright not bad but the salna was average. We raised a complaint but not sure if they bothered nor they even understood what our issue was. They offered us not to pay but still we wanted to pay for at least one dish. This just reminded that I had already ordered here on DoorDash and the taste was horrible. It just slipped out of my mind and visited again. To the management: Your ambiance needs work. It's full , boring and not clean Replace the chefs with authentic ones. .. but guess what? Probably they don't want to keep this place authentic since their target customer probably doesn't know the authentic taste and they don't mind?

It's one of those places that's reliable and feels pretty consistent, knowing you're going to leave happy and full after eating here. The two times we've been there, theres always plenty of seating and are able to walk right in. It's a walk in and seat yourself experience and then you pay upon leaving. The staff keeps the dining area and buffet line consistently stocked and clean. They even provide hand sanitizer and gloves for you. Even when foot traffic picked up while we were there, the food was replenished quickly and didn't look picked over. Now let's talk food...Everything tastes fresh, well-seasoned, and like it was made with care instead of just being "buffet food" an under seasoned. The variety is also amazing, and it's easy to build a plate for pretty much any type of diet whether you're keto, high protein, balanced, veggie-forward, vegan, etc... Some of our favorite dishes we keep coming back for: Shredded beef (SO good), Baked fish (tender and not fishy), Garlic baked chicken (wonderful crispy skin), Fried chicken, Baked kafta, Kafta kebab, Gyro meat, Roasted cauliflower, Eggplant, Greek salad, Fatoush, Kale Caesar salad, Zaatar pizza, Cheese pizza (pro tip: top it with shredded beef- a life changing buffet hack), Rice with lentils, Rice with mixed veggies. For the quality, variety and amount of food you get, this is easily one of the best deals in the city! It's rare to find a buffet that's both affordable and consistently this good! If I had one small wish, it would be for desserts to match how strong the rest of the food is. They're not bad, just a little more "fine" compared to how amazing everything else is. I've seen another Dimassi's (I think in Cali) that had a frozen yogurt machine and I'd LOVE to see that here because it would be the perfect finish! Make a cup and then crumble up some baklava on it! Overall we've LOVED it here and we'll absolutely keep coming back! Great food, clean, consistent, and worth it every time!

In my family, we really like Demassi's. Not necessarily because everything there is amazing, but…read morebecause there is genuinely something to please everyone. Between me, my husband, and my mom, we have a lot of overlap in what we like to eat, but we also have some pretty distinct preferences, and Demassi's is one of those places where that works. My husband really loves Middle Eastern / Mediterranean food. I generally do not. I tend to find the meats too dry, I don't particularly like the spice profile, and I also find a lot of dishes in that category to be overly sour. It's hard to explain, but there's often a sharp, tangy acidity that I don't enjoy. For whatever reason, I don't have that issue at Demassi's at all. Here my husband can get his fix of dry, spiced meats, while I'm happy eating from the huge selection of rice dishes, cooked veggies, and soups. As far as protein goes, I actually really like the fish here, so I almost never eat the meat and still leave satisfied. It usually feels like a healthy pescatarian day for me, which I like. Then there's my mom, who just loves the abundance and variety of a buffet. She's happiest when she can sample a little bit of everything, build plates with lots of small bites, and then go back for more. Demassi's is perfect for that. On top of all of this, it's very reasonably priced, especially for lunch or on weeknights. It's always clean, the staff is consistently courteous, and they are really on top of bussing tables, which matters a lot to me at a buffet. Dirty dishes piling up are never an issue here. Overall, it's a solid, reliable spot for us and a place we're always happy to suggest when we're trying to please multiple people with different tastes.
