    Portuguese sausage, spam and eggs

Great place to eat some good food, had the Portuguese sausage, spam n eggs very delicious, wife had the 3 meat mixed plate, Mac salad was spot on, price was real good especially for Hawaiian BBQ, most places are about $20 a plate, this place real reasonable, and service was awesome and very friendly

I ordered the Pork Rib plate with rice and cabbage as my sides. The meat just fell off the bones, and were so delicious. My brother ordered the two meat plate Kalua Pork and Chicken Katsu with rice and cabbage as his sides. He said his meal was delicious also. This is the second time we have been there and ordered our meals to go. The food has been consistently delicious. I always have enough left over for another meal. The employees are also very nice and helpful. We will definitely be coming back again. If you haven't been there you really need to go and try their food for yourself.

We stumbled upon this place because we drove to Killeen for the so poly fest! We wanted food from Home since we can't ever get it anymore! They have parking in the front and back. On this day, their ac was broken,so we took it to go. We love the mixed plate ideas with the numerous combinations. We wanted to try the whole menu so we did! The beef lumpia was okay. It wasn't my personal favorite. We loved all the flavors on our plate lunches. They fill those boxes to the top and they don't skimp on portions. The Mac Salad tasted just like home! I personally loved the desserts! The guava cupcakes IS A MUST! I also loved the pineapple. It was delicious!! The mochi was alright! It was more Cakey than mochi to me. Overall, when you are wanting some local food, It's a great place to experience the islands. We drove two hours away to try this hidden gem! We can't wait to come back and try some more!

If you're looking for authentic tasting island food definitely pay this place a visit. Customer service was excellent, prices were quite resonable and our order was prepared quickly even though they were busy at that time. We got a mini Loco Moco, Spam Musubis and a plate with LauLau, Kalua Pig with Cabbage and Mac Salad. Everything was delicious and reminded me of home. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area!

Waste of my time and my money! Food is dry! Beef Teriyaki is charged extra and it's dry and tough as hell. The bbq ribs are burnt and smothered with sauce, rice is hard in the middle, the mac salad is jsut mac and extra mayo!

Katsu Chicken, Rice (teriyaki sauce) and Mac salad

Food was amazing. Never had this type of food before and it definitely hit the spot. Spam Musubi was one of my favorite along with the egg rolls and Katsu chicken with mac salad! Quick service and has a nice dining area.

Mini Meal, 1 Meat (Spicy Teriyaki) with 2 Sides (Cabbage and Macaroni Salad).

The temperature was comfortable with a large fan in the corner circulating the air. A TV was playing an action movie that I didn't recognize. While I was there, several people popped in and out to pick up their call in orders. Most meats cost about $15 for a generous portion and sides are $4.50 each. I ordered the lunch special which consisted of eight wings, two sides, a beverage, and a dessert for $15.99. Total was $19.90 including tax and tip. I was provided a foam cup with ice and advised that I could pick from a choice of HEB sodas in the cooler. There were also two flavors of Kool-Aid in dispensers available. It felt like I was part of Bobby B's family. Relax, help yourself to a drink, and sit tight. Lunch will be served shortly. It took about 15 minutes for my food to be ready. My wings were brought to me in a styrofoam to go container with foil separating the wings from the sides of fried okra and potato salad. Two slices of bread were provided as well as a plastic fork. There were plenty of paper towels on each table. Straws were on the counter by the register. Oh my goodness! The food was delicious and more than made up for the simple decor. The wings and okra were hot and fresh. I had to be careful not to burn my fingers. The skin on the outside of the wings was crispy and flavorful. The chicken was moist and tender on the inside. The fried okra was crispy and well seasoned. The potato salad was good, but I suspect it may have been food service potato salad. The lemon cake I chose for dessert was tasty and moist. Overall, I was satisfied with the service and value for the price. I'll definitely be back to try a different lunch special in the future as the special changes daily.

Inside you'll find some booths along the perimeter of the room and large, round tables with wonderful upholstered chairs in the center. Can't say enough about the comfort of the chairs- very upscale. Our server was very sweet and efficient- there when we needed her but not hovering. The food is glorious. They are a bit on the expensive side, but the food is so good we did not mind the prices. I had the chicken and waffles - nicely crisp chicken breast with very tasty waffles. My husband and granddaughter-in-law had the steak and eggs - with really good potatoes and onions; both were SO impressed with the flavor and the preparation. (I will be having this next time!). My grandson had 'Hong Kong' French toast, which I believe was made with Japanese milk bread and had berries and a custard. Also came with eggs and bacon. He could not speak highly enough about it. The portions are LARGE. We all took food home. I shared my plate with my great granddaughter (2 yrs) and still took food home! Honestly, we had booked another restaurant for the weekend of Mother's Day (day before) and we canceled that reservation so that we could go back to Farmers Commons! It's that good. Also, all the folks working when we were there were very sweet with my great granddaughter; we appreciated that. HIGHLY recommend for brunch. Now i want to try dinner too!

THIS SH** LITERALLLY WHIPPED UP SOUL!!!!…read more Hands down, this is the best Soul Food in Austin, TX. My girlfriend and I have been here 4 times in counting. Every time we come, we have been satisfied. This is a black-owned restaurant and babiiesss, this is one for the books. The best times to come are early before 5. SUNDAYS ARE SUPER BUSY, (line out the door busy), so beware of that. Let's start with the service, the owner is HIM. Every time we've come, he's greeting everyone that comes in with a calm, cool, welcoming, and assured demeanor about himself while taking orders. When he has the chance, he comes by the tables and checks in with everyone, making sure everyone is satisfied and the place is up to his standards. This man is the definition of #HANDSON! It's needed. He doesn't know it, but we really value him. The Ambiance is usually way more busier, energetic like. However, today we came closer to opening @ 11:15am and was able to enjoy sitting down without the rush. It's always great music playing, so you know I'm jamming :P The cooks keep hair nets on their heads and gloves on. It's somewhat an open window kitchen so that's cool too. There's usually a cleaning lady going around making sure the place stays clean and tables rotating. The prices aren't bad. They did just increase since the last we been here, but they're still affordable. Now for the food WITH SOULLLL... Since we've been here so many times, I'll give you the MUST TRYs! These are delicious, delightful and your tastebuds will love you for it. Plus the portions are generous and never lack in flavor. #ComfortingFood 1. Oxtail Eggrolls $14 2. Cheezy Mac (regular) $6 3. Sweet Glazed Yams (regular) $6 4. Mean Greens (regular) $6 5. Pistachio Brownie (when available) 6. Sweet Tea $3.75 7. Fried Cabbage (Weekend Side Special) My rating... this place is definitive of SOUL. It's consistent, clean, and carries the vibes! One thing about it, whether you're vegetarian or loving the meat, you'll find something to love that will lighten your soul. It's been hard to find QUALITY food here in Austin, but we found it in 'WHIP MY SOUL'. So GO, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! You won't be disappointed.
