I also had some plaster repaired on my bathroom wall that was falling apart due to a slow leak in the old roof that they had discovered. So I wish I could say anything good about this company but I cannot…read more To be fair, I sued Brian Getto in small claims court and I didn't present my case well, likely because I didn't prepare my pictures well, and I should have gotten a better contract, but I liked Brian, and he did me wrong when I trusted him and I shouldn't once the job began. He took a job to replace a front door, some screen doors (front and back), and sand and refinish all the woodwork in the house. The first part he did fairly well other than breaking the wood under the door sill and needed to be fixed, but his woodwork is to use a word, pathetic. He used a power sander to strip stained wood to bare, and then realized, hmmm, this won't work, and then when he went to replace the rest of it, he hurried thru it, not even being sure the boards were attached to the wall, He did a horrid job staining the boards and attached boards with obvious defects to the wall (when the were attached at all), and many of the corners are not joined properly. Honestly, its an absolute disaster. He had to cut some boards to fit the baseboards and he even cut them wrong in his hurry to get out of there. Honestly, he priced it wrong, he was in over his head, and I made the mistake of trusting him. Oh, he is NOT registered as a MA home improvement contractor, nor does he carry the required insurances. I have forwarded that to the Attorney General's office.

Recently we hired Glen to repair a chimney that developed damage and leaked this winter, and I'm…read morevery happy with the results. After calling Glen, his team was professional, responsive, and easy to work with. They came immediately to look at my house and explained where the damage to the chimney had caused the leak to develop. The repair was completed efficiently and Glen took great care to protect the surrounding area while working. They replaced the damaged chimney bricks, sealed the affected section, put a new chimney cap on and checked nearby areas to make sure no additional leaks would occur. They replaced some shingles also. Since the repair, we've had several storms and the chimney and roof has no more leaks. What stood out most was Glen's honesty and attention to detail. The price was good and the work was high quality and the whole process was fast and easy. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing reliable roof repairs. Planning on using Glen again to build a deck in the future.

Beautiful Landscaping & Construction was contracted by a remediation company to come in and put the…read morepieces back together after a multilevel flood in my home. The project manager said that Anthony had done good work in the past and was confident in his skill level. But it got to a point where I wouldn't allow his crew to return. The owner of the restoration company asked if I would give Anthony a second chance to come in and complete the tile work. The bathroom floor was straightforward and came out good. But the kitchen was a bit more complex and about 1/4 needs to be torn out. I actually had to explain edging and bullnose tile to him. The pictures are just a small representation of what they considered to be finished work...they had packed up and removed their equipment. I was speechless. There was wall paint all over my cabinets and molding, molding paint all over the ceiling and walls, and gobs of joint compound. The demo crew set up a plastic containment barrier. When it was removed, Anthony's crew painted over the adhesive residue left from the tape. A breakfast nook escaped damage except for a 6-8 inch stain on the ceiling. Instead of using stain blocker, the crew slapped joint compound on the stain and painted over it without sanding. In addition to being sloppy, they clearly do not have the skill to work in old homes. Additionally, they took down the motion sensor to the security system, lost half of the unit, and hung up what was remaining. No one recalls touching it - that's a $350 replacement and installation cost. They also covered my Corian sink in paint, lost the paint covered garbage disposal stopper, used my mop bucket and left it behind covered in crap, and let tons of construction debris pile up in a pantry sink that has 114 year old pipes. The restoration company had their demo guys come in to try and clean up the mess, but unfortunately the ceilings need major remediation and I have to hire someone else to come in to clean up the poor caulking and painting. Work time was already extended at least 1 week because of mistakes and sloppiness. I got the distinct impression that Anthony was juggling a lot. Judging from the reviews, he should drop construction from his business model and focus on the landscaping.
