The coconut shrimp and saimin soup really hit the spot, but my favorites were the kalua loco and the poke salad. The kalua loco was packed with flavor, and the poke salad was fresh and delicious. If you've ever had the opportunity to eat at a local Hawaiian family's home, or one of those secret Hawaiian restaurants that only locals go to, this is your spot. A true taste of the islands on the mainland. Although the service was slow in a packed family restaurant, I was in no rush as once my food arrived, I was transported to the islands. From the warm Spam musubi to the TNT plate giving me the variety I needed after a long morning, the meal hit the spot. It felt homey and inviting as well as tasty and delicious. TNT Aloha Cafe has a special place in my heart. Yes, the food is delicious - no question. But what keeps me coming back is the service. The servers are friendly and you can tell they have regular customers by the way they interact with their tables. Even the chef has come out to greet me and ask about my day/how I heard about this place. My favorite thing to order here is their beef teriyaki bowl (also comes as a plate if you want a larger serving). So simple, but so good. Rice, red pickled ginger, broccoli - but that beef? They've really mastered it here. The meat is ALWAYS tender and the fat is perfectly rendered, complimenting the savory component of the sauce. I also ordered a few of their spam musubis for a work trip to the east coast awhile back. They were tasty and filling enough to keep me energized for my 6 hr flight! I only know of one off-menu item (pictured) through an old friend. It's definitely a guilty pleasure and would recommend ordering if you're sharing a plate with a friend. I ordered the teriyaki beef entree which came with a side salad (choice of miso, ranch, or thousand island dressing) which I chose Miso dressing, macaroni salad, and white rice. Everything was to my liking and it was a good amount of food, so much that I had to take home leftovers. The Mac salad had bits of potatoes and peas, not too sweet, yet not too bland. The miso salad was good, had julienne cuts of cucumber and diced tomatoes; served as an added crunch to my meal. The Teri beef was sweet and juicy, loved the thin cuts especially with the fat, full of flavor. 2/28/26 Small mom & pop shop in a plaza serving island grinds. There are 2 entrances, one for dine-in & one for to-gos. Parking is shared among businesses, free. I was promptly greeted by the lady at the register with a kind & beautiful smile. Ordered my 4 musubis (spam) for to go & she says they're made fresh & offered to take to my car once it's ready. She also offered iced water while I waited. I availed myself to their lavatory & it nice & clean. It was long until my hot spam musubis were ready. I'm accustomed to having them served in Saran wrap but these weren't so they were falling apart. The spam to rice ratio was more in the rice side but these weren't delicious nonetheless. Always our go-to spot when we don't know "what's for dinner"! Got there at 5:45 PM and was able to get a table in a couple minutes. Looks like they added some pictures to the wall and it looked freshly painted inside. I ordered the Kim Chee Loco Moco with Portuguese Sausage patties, and it was a mix of flavors that just worked well! The loco Moco gravy is always perfect here and the kimchee fried rice was perfectly prepared. As always a BIG BIG portion of chicken katsu comes with the dinner plate, chicken is crunchy and the meat is moist and tender. The regular Loco Moco is a staple here and there was nothing left on that plate. The Chinese chicken salad was big serving with a sweet and vinegary dressing with pineapples. Next time we'll probably order the dressing on the side but again there was nothing left on the plate! read more

I finally got to try this place last night. My nephew had his graduation dinner here and it was great. I got to try quite a few items in their menu and everything was really good. I'm not a fan of chicken teriyaki but to my surprise, TNT made me change my mind. I love Mac salad and theirs was delicious. Other items that I had were the beef teriyaki, fried chicken, bacon fried rice, and salad. Service was excellent. They took care of our party well. I hadn't been to TNT in several years but was reminded that it is so good at a recent event where I tried their Kalua Pork, Teriyaki Chicken and Bacon Fried Rice and really enjoyed them. I liked it so much that I ordered catering for my birthday party last month. We ordered the Kalua Pork, Bacon Fried Rice and Chinese Chicken Salad. Everything was ready when promised and the friendly staff were very accommodating and even helped us to the car with the trays of food. I also asked for some extra salad dressing which they included for free. Everything was absolutely delicious. The smoky flavor of the Kalua Pork was perfect and the bacon fried rice was amazingly decadent. The Chinese Chicken Salad was great, too, and the dressing was awesome. I still have some leftover dressing that I'm been using on salads at home. Really yummy. Prices were decent; pretty much inline with others out there. This is a great place to eat if you're in the mood for Hawaiian food or miss the Hawaiian islands. They have everything from loco moco, katsu, musubi, and even shaved ice. The workers here are wonderful and patient. Really nice ambiance for individuals, families, dates, etc. We tried 3 different musubis and liked them all. Aside from the classic spam musubi, they also have katsu and portuguese musubi. They're unique and delicious. I'd get all 3 again. The spicy sesame katsu bowl is packed with many different layers of flavor. You got the crunch of the tender katsu which is nicely balanced out with their sauce they apply on top of it. The side of coconut shrimp is a nice addition to any entree. The max moco loco is a large bed of steamed rice, a hamburger patty, their portuguese sausage, and corned beef patty all under 3 eggs and topped with their brown gravy. This one was really good. The meat is buried under their gravy so each bite is a bit of a fun surprise since you don't know which meat you'll be biting into lol Their bacon fried rice should be a staple in any Hawaiian restaurant. When we went, there were so many locals coming in and out, you could immediately tell this is a place people come back to again and again. Those are always the best kinds of spots. We also had the chance to meet the owner, Steve, and he was genuinely one of the nicest, most welcoming people. You can feel how much heart he puts into the food and the space. We ordered a little bit of everything to try: spam musubis, poke nachos, their new spicy katsu bowl, fried rice, and of course loco moco. Honestly, everything was delicious. You know what's crazy, is that I used to live down the street from this place and never tried it. Big mistake. I've basically tried every Hawaiian food spot in the South Bay and I have to say this is in my top 5. I ordered the loco moco, tnt plate, and a side of poke. The loco moco was just ok, I felt the burger patties could have been better seasoned but the tnt plate and poke were awesome. Their teriyaki sauce was very good and the katsu was fried perfectly and crispy. But the poke...dude, have you ever eaten something and it's nothing crazy or flashy but one bite and...gospel music. My family and I had such an amazing breakfast here at TNT! We can't wait to go back already! Everyone enjoyed their food! Portion is great for sharing. I ordered their Lau Lau with macaroni and white rice. It's cooked to perfection--literally melted in my mouth! I couldn't get enough of it! I also ordered a side of poke and it paired so well! My daughter ordered spam musubi and a short stack, both were also devoured! She almost never finishes a meal but today, she impressed us all! I got a bite of her pancake and wow, it's so delicious! It stands out compared to other breakfast spots in the area. High recommend. I asked if they had fresh fruits since my daughter loves those. Unfortunately it wasn't an option. I normally have my go to spots when it comes to both Hawaiian food and poke. Went to Walgreens that's in the same parking lot and thought to give TNT aloha cafe a shot. We were greeted and seated right away upon entering. Our server was nice, prompt and attentive. The only reason why I'm taking a star off was because one of the two dishes we ordered was just ok. The loco moco had a decent gravy and the eggs were fine. But the meat/ground beef patty we ordered was bland and had quite a few bites of just hard pieces and gristle. Ruined the dish for me. What made up for it was the chicken katsu plate with white rice, mac salad and their house poke. The katsu and sauce were great! Perfect portion. But what was surprising, was how flavorful and fresh the poke was!!! Pleasantly surprised. I'll come back for this exact dish and maybe even a poke bowl by itself! read more

Wouldn't recommend this spot if you're going for poke. The tuna tasted pretty basic, honestly like something you could throw together at home with frozen Costco tuna poke bowl fish. Sauces didn't stand out at all, and the flavor overall just fell flat. The ginger kind of overpowered everything, and the random piece of broccoli felt out of place more than anything. Nothing really tied the bowl together. If you're waiting in line at jus poke, in redondo, and think you can go to another poke spot close by and it'll fulfill your cravings, think Again. Came here after seeing a lot of hype online, but my takeout experience was pretty underwhelming. Portions were smaller than expected, especially for the price. We ordered the katsu/poke plate and the chicken teriyaki/ poke plate. The poke was okay, but had a strong wasabi/horseradish flavor that wasn't mentioned on the menu which was kind of off-putting. Mac salad was tiny (literally a sauce cup) and lacked flavor. The chicken teriyaki was the biggest letdown. It didn't taste marinated at all and was a sad, pale color even from the outside. The teriyaki sauce was also not tasting right and much too thin/watery. So much so, the chicken was held in a boat of tinfoil within the takeout box... very unappealing. The katsu was decent and crispy, bordering on tough, and the portion was pretty small as well. Overall, it didn't live up to the hype. There are better Hawaiian spots nearby, so I wouldn't come back. read more

Our first option, Kalua Loco, wasn't available due to no Kalua pig this particular Sunday morning. Took a look at the menu again. Settled on Portuguese sausage and eggs breakfast and a TNT Aloha combo plate. The breakfast plate comes with 2 Portuguese sausage patties, eggs, rice, and toast. I asked server to mix my plate. Oh yeah, it hit the spot. Included in the Aloha combo plate was teriyaki beef, spam, eggs, rice, Mac salad, and fried wontons. Equally solid although the teriyaki leaned more on the sweeter side. This place is located behind Walgreens in the same shopping complex. Came in for breakfast and ordered the chicken katsu don and loco Moco. Both dishes were so delicious. The portions were huge (easily shareable) and the prices were so reasonable as well. The service was great and they never left our coffee cups emptied. I could have done this review awhile back but props to TNT cafe for last year. Ok, been to all the places in the area that serve this kind of comfort food. The crew is here weekly pretty consistently. I've enjoyed almost everything on the menu except some stuff I can make myself. The game changer has been the roast pork special. Hands down the best I've eaten from all the places. Too bad it's on the weekly specials menu. The meat isn't too fatty unless you ask for it. Two scoops of rice, mac salad scoop, and the gravy (I had to get more to clean my plate). This plate got me away from my favorite dish = Portuguese sausage patties, bacon fried rice with over easy eggs. Reminds me of the old Kappa cafe days. I also switch it up with a short stack and the sausage patties. Sweet and savory! I can go on about how good everything is, but also how good the service is too. Place is always clean. Great staff! I can't believe I haven't written a review for TNT yet! I've eaten here for years. This is my favorite Hawaiian food place in the South Bay. I always get the Aloha Royal and Spam Musubi. I ask for the Musubi without ume (plum) since I don't love the tart flavor, but I appreciate that they put that twist in there to make it their own! Their Portuguese sausage is also really good. My husband likes their Loco Moco and Kalua Pork. We've really never had anything bad here. TNT has the best Hawaiian food in the South Bay. The place is in a small strip mall and it has free parking. The outside is cute and the inside, although not huge, is just adorable. It is kept super clean. The service is ever so nice. The entire staff knows what is great and if you ask they will tell you. They are fast and the food is always right, be it for dine in, pick up or delivery. Now. TNT is not open late and I wish they were. There are plenty of items for dinner and besides what is wrong with breakfast for dinner or lunch for dinner. Most nights they close at 7 pm, and some nights even earlier. So give a call or look at their website before you go. It can get crowded, but the wait is never bad. The food is just that good. We love breakfast and lunch there. Their fried won tons are just great as are their poke nachos served over crispy won ton. The poke is marinated in a sauce with soy sauce, sesame oil, green onions, white onions, and seaweeds. It is all then topped with sliced green and white onions, and furikake. It is so tasty. We also love their home made corn beef hash breakfast, served all day. It is just great. It comes with hash browns, eggs any style and your choice of breakfast potatoes and toast or steamed rice which is perfection. They even have burgers and French toast if you like. They are great. I ended up ordering the TNT plate and my boyfriend got the Aloha plate. my plate was massive and came with chicken katsu, teriyaki beef, teriyaki chicken, mac salad, and a bowl of white rice. I loved the chicken katsu along with the sauce. It was a bit sweeter than other sauces I have had elsewhere but it was really good. The teriyaki beef was also good and had a tangy taste to it. Unfortunately, I was not a fan of the teriyaki chicken though. The SPAM was good on the Aloha plate but then again SPAM is LIFE! Overall, great place and great food. I highly recommend getting there earlier on weekends because it does get busy and not much seating. I also recommend ordering the TNT plate because you get a variety of the foods they serve and if you can't eat all of it, you will have a whole other plate to enjoy later on. My cousin loves this place since it's down the street from him, so he suggested we come here for brunch. Since we were a group of 8, we waited 5-7 minutes for a table. It's not a large space. Only A few tables, but it seems like a lot of people also get takeout. Once we got seated, we ordered our food. I got loco moco, while my family got chicken katsu or fish with steamed broccoli. Most everyone got a combo plate that had three meat options (katsu, teriyaki beef and chicken). It's a lot of food! Not bad for the price! Some of my family members also got the Hawaiian juices.
