Top notch. Lydia gave me personal advice on how to help my feet heal from years of bad treatment. I used to swim in socks because I was so ashamed to show my feet to anyone. That fear followed me for years until I saw her. Now my feet are in much better health, and my fear is fading away ! I'm very curious about all things going on my body and she is great with communication. She clearly told me the things I was doing wrong, how to fix them, and general advice to give to my friends. She is calm, and direct while still being polite. The atmosphere is very personal. It's all 1 on 1 sessions, which for an anxious person like me is perfect. The large windows let in ample light. I personally love zoning out and watching the white curtains sway in the breeze. TLC Nails is high quality and for that reason I give it 5 stars read more

Lydia is amazing! I've had toenail issues for YEARS and once I found her and came to see her consistently I have not had to go the podiatrist and she completely fixed my toenails! It's such a great experience and Lydia really knows what she is doing! read more

Wife had lost hope rehabilitating a damaged toenail but Lydia has worked wonders. Her attention to detail and expert care has it so we can't go anywhere else. read more

Lydia is the best person for anyone who truly uses both feet and hands hard. That's me--a challenge to all nail salons until I went to Lydia at TLC in downtown Pacific Grove on 17th Street. She has transformed my baseball mitts into softly gloved hands. The care on my leather-like feet has been extraordinary. When I would get home, it was always wonderful to play footsies with my sweetie because I always knew my feet would feel like silk. Lydia is the best hands and feet specialist I know; I've gone to many specialists and she knows her business. Yes, it is more expensive but so is her time preparing my hands and feet to turn out so nicely. Her suggestions are also invaluable. Lydia has a very clean work space. She uses healthy products. It's like being in a mini-oasis with better than spa-like treatment. She also treats successfully both men and women. And, dare I write, most men do need such care more than most women. Try her, you won't want to go elsewhere every three to four weeks! Gift certificates are special for stocking stuffers, birthdays, and other celebrations too! read more

Enjoy the finest manicure and/or pedicure of your lives at TLC Nails in Pacific Grove. The proprietor of this pristine, quiet and sunny location serves one client at a time--although you may overlap on the window seat as you dry your toes. As such, you completely benefit from Lydia's amazing skill in truly caring for nails, not just making them beautiful (which she does at the highest level at well). She is not the average nail professional, rather someone with unique skills who is devoted to the health of your hands and feet, and she charges accordingly. For me that means she brought a nearly dead toenail back to life and somehow really knows when and how to take my nails forward to a healthier state. You've probably heard of medical pedicures. Well, to me, Lydia is that with style, care, and panache. read more

OMG !! For guys we don't understand how important the health of our nails, specially when it comes to our feet. I was kind of embarrassed and shy. But she put me at ease, and did some incredible work. Teaching me how to maintain the health of my feet and hands. The energy she brings and the love for her work is incredible. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! read more

TLC can not be compared to any other business that offers "manicures" or "pedicures." The service here is on a completely different level. I have had services from a wide range of practitioners - on the Peninsula, the East Coast , Europe and the Middle East. Lydia's craft raises the experience and outcome to an entirely different level. She is a practitioner of foot and hand health, as well as aesthetic beauty. Not only will you receive gorgeous nails , but condition and nail wellness issues that are generally ignored/overlooked by ordinary practitioners will be thoughtfully addressed. It is impossible to recommend Lydia and TLC Nails highly enough. read more

I have had several toenail problems over the years. I decided to seek a recommendation for a medical pedicure from my podiatrist. Lydia at TLC nails was her only recommendation. I cannot overstate how happy I am to have my feet properly cared for in a way I could never do myself. This is not a beauty treatment. This is truly a healing process. Lydia is a professional and well worth the investment. read more

I've been a customer of TLC Nails, Lydia Ho, for almost 15 years. In that time, she has brought my nails from disaster to wonderful. TLC is a one person shop conveniently located in Pacific Grove, with street parking out front and a large parking lot directly across the street. The shop is very clean, her instruments are always sterilized before use and each regular client has their "own" nail box with their own buffer's, etc. Currently, I get the basic nail manicure, but when I began with Lydia 15 years ago, she gave me my first set of acrylics. I have received tons of compliments on my nails over the years. The one thing Lydia knows is nail care and she shares her knowledge with you if you are having any particular issues. Lydia probably knows more about me than my closest friends. She's a very dear person who I trust so completely, that I have been bringing my granddaughter to her for "Gramma and Granddaughter Day" since she's been old enough to sit in "the chair". I highly recommend TLC Nails. read more

Lydia is an independent, professional business woman. I, as the previous reviewer, have been having the basic manicure for a man for approximately eighteen years. During those times, as well as currently, Lydia's manicures have definitely satisfied my needs, and I highly and enthusiastically recommend her services. read more

I received the best personalized care in this cozy little salon. Unlike the "assembly line" nail salons that rush you in and out, Lydia takes her time and is worth paying a little extra. You get one-on-one attention and can truly relax because you don't have to listen to the banter of others around you. read more

TLC Nails has proven to be a very professional, clean, personal, and quality salon to get your nails done. It is a quiet, relaxing, and quaint salon with a magic touch from Lydia! After having a manicure and pedicure my hands and feet were on cloud nine! I highly recommend TLC Nails. read more

I have been coming to Lydia for my manicures and pedicures for 6 years. Lydia helped me with my toenail problem! She is professional and expert and knows what she is doing. Her salon is clean and warm and comfortable. You will be pleased with the outcome. read more

This place stays in business because the lovely lady who owns and operates it produces nails that are works of art. My acryllic nails are thin and natural. The surfaces are flawless, like smooth pieces of glass. They are also strong and last 3 weeks. I get compliments everywhere, most recently during a medical procedure! Seriously. I just had my nails done at a backup shop in an emergency for less cost, but boy, do they look it with creases all over them. And the backup lady is a lot better than some I have tried. Finally, the only toxic fumes I have found at TLC Nails PG are the ones from the previous review. TLC is a bit pricey, thus 4 stars, but you do get what you pay for. read more

The best mani/pedi I've ever had done by the Queen of mani-pedis! Lydia Ho has saved my ruggedly bare feet and gardening hands from being rough and unsightly to silky smooth wonders! Her treatment is expensive but the Rolls Royce of care is worth every penny. Her ability to read her clients' needs and give helpful hints for post-treatment care is extraordinary. Her clients know she is #1 & the outcome speaks volumes. . . a true artist! read more

$40 for a basic manicure. I'm still recovering from sticker shock. She did a good job, and from the other reviews, I expected to pay a little more, maybe $20 or even $25...but $40? No gel. Just a simple, basic manicure with a single coat of clear polish. The place is nothing extravagent. It's not a spa, just a single room, with one table, one pedicure chair, and a sofa to wait on. read more

Lydia was AMAZING! Last Friday I had to get a mani/pedi after camping for the past two nights because I had a wedding to go to the next day, and she was gracious enough to move some of her regular clients around. I am not from the area, I live in San Diego, but if you are ever in Pacific Grove/Monterey area and you need your nail fix - CALL LYDIA! She was so great, and, long story short- she helped my husband and I check in early at out hotel we were staying at! She just really went above and beyond to help me and gave me so many great tips for nail/foot care. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! :) read more

Lydia has worked miracles on my feet. My nails were discolored from wear and tear. That is no longer the case, and I'm able to play golf and walk without getting a cart after 9 holes because my feet hurt so bad. So I brought my 19 year old daughter to Lydia. She had just returned from Europe where she walked her feet into several infected toenails, and the bottom of her feet were just a mess. I thought I would start with Lydia before taking her to a Doctor. No need. Lydia made miserable feet, happy feet in one short session. Lydia is worth every penny. read more
