Violete came highly recommended by a friend when she saw how hyper my dog was (to the point of nearly pulling my shoulder off!). After speaking with Violete, I quickly scheduled a drop-off for my baby, Mocha. I won't lie--leaving her there was heartbreaking for me! Throughout the training, Violete kept me updated with regular messages and tons of pictures, which really reassured me that Mocha was in great hands. Two weeks later, I picked up a completely transformed dog. Mocha was so much calmer, better behaved, and clearly had learned so much. Honestly, I almost felt just as heartbroken taking her away from Violete's ranch because it was obvious she had such a great time there! I'm incredibly grateful for the care, attention, and results Violete provided. Highly recommend! read more

Truly an amazing experience! We knew from day one that this was going to be a perfect opportunity for our 2 year old German Shepherd, Rex. And the results speak for themselves! Violet was so helpful, caring, and dedicated throughout the entire process. She knew exactly what Rex needed and put in so much work with him. And the communication during his time there was excellent. She also set us in the right direction with so much helpful information and guidance going forward. He is so well behaved now, takes instruction, and is doing great on the leash. Couldn't be happier with the entire experience and I would highly recommend Violet to anyone! Look no further, THIS is the place for your dog. We will definitely be back for any future needs. read more

Cant say enough great things about violet, honestly. Our little piper, an ornery and stubborn 9 1/2 year old pug went in for much needed 3 week training. We gave her to violet in anticipation of getting back a new dog that was re-ranked and she sure did deliver on that. Piper came back a new dog. With our proper implementation now at home with violets techniques, we continue pipers training daily. It's been a night and day change. My wife and I should have done this years ago. Thanks again violet. read more

A little background on our Cane Corso Drogo he was a neglected pup before we got him. We were his 5th or 6th home at 6 months old. His ears were cut with pinking shears and thread for sutures. We took him to the vet the day after we got him. It literally took him 3 months to come out of his shell and let me tell you it was stressful from day 1 he was jumping on me, whining, screaming, was a handful to say the least. My experience with Violet has been amazing from the first day I spoke to her on the phone to any day that I have needed her after training. Not only do I recommend her but will also take any new pups we have to her. She is very thorough with what she plans on training your dog. When we went to provide deposit and to meet her in person we left knowing this was going to be good for our dog and us. Drop off was of course sad but from the minute we got there Violets cane corso made me feel loved and was my therapy dog while we took care of paperwork. We received updates, photos and videos. Violet would contact us if she had any questions. Violet provided us with a well behaved manageable dog, keeping in mind he is still a puppy at 9 months old but was a HUGE difference upon coming home. He is so well mannnered at the vets, in the car and anywhere we take him. The commands he learned with Violet made such a huge impact on our family. We have 6 dogs and he is the largest and to have him behave is priceless. We recommend Violet and would be happy to answer any questions, but I know when you speak to her you won't need any referral she is amazing and I greatly appreciate what she did for our family. I can't say enough good things about our experience with violet! From the moment we first reached out, it was clear that they genuinely care about dogs and are passionate about what they do. Our dog Odie can be a handful--high energy, a little anxious, and not the easiest to train--but violet worked absolute magic. Not only did Odie come back better behaved, but they were also clearly happy, well-cared for, and totally at ease. The updates we received during the boarding period were thoughtful and reassuring--photos, videos, and little notes about how he were doing. It really gave us peace of mind knowing Odie was in such capable and loving hands. The training results have been amazing. Violet uses positive reinforcement techniques and clearly tailors the approach to each dog's individual needs. They also took the time to train us--showing us how to continue reinforcing everything at home so the progress would stick. If you're looking for someone who is not only incredibly skilled but also kind, trustworthy, and truly devoted to dogs, look no further. I would recommend violet a thousand times over. I can not say enough about Violet as a person, and her training skills! It started with our 11 week old Cane Corso female showing some red flag behavior. I immediately called Violet and she came to our house and did temperament testing on her. What Violet found was shocking to me and intimidating. our new pup showed some extremely dominant traits. I was given some tasks to work on daily until Storm was old enough to go for board and train. After about a month of working daily with Storm, and seeing great improvement, she was old enough and ready to go stay with Violet for training. Fast forward 3 1/2 weeks, we picked up our pup and I am absolutely impressed at the dog we now have. She is about 4 1/2 months old and I can take her anywhere and she is the most obedient dog there! She walks on a loose leash calmly and has a fantastic down stay!! Having a puppy can be stressful and this has helped tremendously! Ive talked with Violet many times throughout this process and I think we were able to nip a potentially dangerous situation in the bud. Storm shows zero alarming traits now because we were able to catch it early. My family and I are beyond grateful to Violet!! read more

Violet is amazing! Our lovable Doodle was becoming a huge, energetic problem! She would jump, pull on leash, and run through the home like a maniac. Violet taught our Bailey self-control. She sits to be pet. She can lay "in place" for hours. She also walks in heal position peacefully. Now, Bailey is the dog that we hoped she could be. I knew when we decided to get a cane corso, they'd need a professional training. I reached out to Violet before we received Kodak, our corso, from the breeder after two of my clients at the salon I own recommended her. They'd had their corsos trained by her and had nothing but wonderful things to say. At sixteen weeks, we dropped Kodak off. I was so nervous, but she put all my worries to rest. Violet is an open book. She was quick to answer any questions we had, and she was very detailed in her training plans with Kodak. For three weeks, she sent us updates with pictures and videos. While we missed him a lot, I never worried about his care. When we were able to pick him up, Violet went above and beyond to give us all the information we needed to ensure Kodak's training is a success. She has even answered the texts I've sent her since with a helping hand. Kodak is the first dog we've formally trained, and I'll never own another dog without putting them through the program. I can't recommend Violet enough. read more

We have a beagle puppy who is very cute but also a major handful. We were struggling with his biting and potty training. Violet came strongly recommended and we could not have been more lucky to get her help. We saw a total night and day difference in our dogs behavior. Violet did a phenomenal job with our Giant Schnauzer. When we dropped Oakley off she was wild, always jumping on us, constantly biting, pulling on the leash, and could not be out of her kennel without immediate supervision. Now she is much calmer, does great on the leash, stays on her bed next to us even while we are eating dinner. Once the leash is attached she goes into work mode. Focuses on us and hardly gets distracted. If you are thinking of sending your puppy to a training, Violet is the expert to go to! read more

I highly recommend TLC Canine Training. I have a 6-month-old Doberman who was quite stubborn and had some frustrating habits, like jumping on me and guests and pulling on the leash during walks. Violet's experience and expertise really shone through as she worked with my dog. She was able to quickly address these behaviors and had my Doberman behaving much better in no time. He's now calmer around guests and walks with a loose leash--something I never thought would happen so quickly! Violet really knows how to bring out the best in your dog, and I'm so grateful for the progress we've made. Simple- Do it! My family and I are very happy with the results of our dogs attending TLC Canine Training. The amount of love, knowledge and connectivity Violet has with animals and specifically dogs- is next level. A true dog whisperer if you will. We don't have an easy pack either, 3 pugs (1 that's four yrs old and 2 are puppies) which aren't bred to do much except be great companions so experiencing them being attentive and obedient is incredible. Job well done! Also must praise that their health was always a top priority. One of our pugs was overweight and we didn't even know. He came back home with an actual waste-line! (And none of them beg for human food anymore) Additionally it was very hot during their time at training and safety was always a priority. Lastly, I love that Violet was happy to communicate whenever we had concerns or questions, including post training which is important. Fact is, the owners need a little training too for this to be a continued success! I genuinely believe the training comes with the right experience and intention, and it's certainly effective. As hard as it is to trust someone else with your little fur family, I know my dogs were in great loving hands the whole time. Thank you again, Violet! If I could give her 1,000 stars I would. I got my first dog, a Golden Retriever, thinking he'd be an easy dog for a first timer. Boy was I wrong. He was out of control and I couldn't handle him. It was so bad I stopped having guests over or taking him on walks because I was so embarrassed by his behavior. I became resentful towards him and would hide in my room away from him because I was exhausted with him. That's no way for a pet parent or a pet to live but I can't stress enough how serious the situation was. I got weekly phone calls from his doggy daycare requesting that I pick him up due to his behavior. I went through 4 different private trainers, who came to my home, and that didn't work. I took him to group classes and that didn't work. When he got to 14 months I got a new Maltipoo puppy because people said that would help if he had a friend. WRONG. Then I was stuck with 2 out of control monsters. I say stuck because I refused to give up on them. Thankfully, I didn't. Because I found Violet. She has been the greatest thing that's happened to me and my pups. She was the only one who truly understood what my dogs needed and what I was going through. After staying with Violet and going through her board and train program, I feel like I have completely different dogs!! The first few nights they were back, I sat on my couch and cried tears of joy because I felt like I finally had my life back. Not only does she work with your dogs but she really works with you to build your confidence. In 15 months I was only able to walk my Golden once, when he was a fraction of his size. Since he's been back, we walk/jog 3 miles every day. I feel so much more confident in my ability to lead him and my little Maltipoo. I can't put into words how grateful I am for violet and how lucky I feel to have found her. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my dogs and I won't go to anyone else for any dog I have in the future. She is so passionate about this and I 100% believe she was put on this earth to work with furbabies. If you love your furbabies and want to work with someone who will be 100% invested in you and your pups then look no further than Violet! You will be beyond grateful. read more

TLC K9 Training - Violet is the best!!! - Pet Training Near Me

Violet is amazing! I have a beautiful and well bred schnauzer that was a happy out of control girl. I've bred, raised and trained dogs my entire life. I have never had a dog like her. Violet was my last option for her. I interviewed 11 trainers and was not satisfied with the answers that I got. I did not want her being trained by somebody who would stick her in a kennel and bring her out a half hour each day. I wanted her to learn and how to behave in the real world. Violets philosophy was amazing. She was exactly what I was looking and hoping for. My little girl was definitely a challenge. But the psycho, crazy nut dog that I couldn't even get to hold still long enough to put a leash on is now walking freely on a leash with all kinds of distractions. And she has started her down stays- the idea that she could actually sit still for more than a half a second is amazing to me. She will be there a couple more weeks and I can't wait to see the dog that comes home. I'm really really excited. Thank you, Violet! I have a brand new puppy that I was going to work with. Nope! After seeing what Violet did with Missy, she's getting my new puppy so I know that when she comes home, she's already going to be amazing! Stress relief is worth everything. Thank you, Violet for everything that you have given me with my Fur babies. I am attaching a video. This may not seem like a big deal to everybody. But this is a dog that you couldn't even put a leash on because she was so out of control. Not mean. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body. But she was so happy she could not control herself long enough for you to put a leash on her. Look at her now. She is a totally different dog. I am positive that this is because of Violet. Her patience and love for the dogs that she works with is undeniable. read more

So blessed to have found TLC training. Recently we got our new boy Gamba!! We wanted to get him in training due to his breed and size as soon as possible. Violet was very friendly and welcoming when I called her number she immediately started to help us even before the training session. We had previously owned a Cane Corso after 11 yrs he passed it was heart breaking for me. So we decided to get another boy and wanted to make sure that we properly got him trained. We are so thankful we did, even though we had previous experience with the breed there was still so many things we learned from training with TLC . As parents we wanted to learned more to better understand our Boy Gamba. Violet has been amazing and very attentive to our journey.. an exceptional trainer for our boy!! read more

TLC K9 Training - Our Boy Gamba!! - Pet Training Near Me

Although Violet is very nice, our experience with her as a canine trainer was not good, in fact it was quite disturbing. She's not a licensed trainer, which we weren't aware of until we brought our dog to her. However, because of her reviews and recommendation, and because our dog warmed up to her immediately, this wasn't too big of a concern. When we first arrived at her home/business, which is off grid and has no running water and no electricity, I was a bit concerned because it was so hot this week with temperatures in the mid to upper 90's and her place is in the middle of the Phelan desert off a dirt road, which is hot! She reassured me by telling me that she would only be taking our dog out early in the morning, 4 AM, and would keep him inside during the day with her, where she keeps it cooled to the mid and upper 60's. I later learned, from her, that she was carrying him outside, because the ground was too hot for him to walk on, either to a shady area or to a secured area that she had prepared for him in the shade, which was covered with a black tarp (the color black is a conductor of heat). When we picked him up she showed us his area and told us that he didn't have any water while he was in this area, but he was given water on his way back into the cooled area (where he was supposed to be during the day). For an animal to be outside in this heat and not to have free access to water is dangerous and might be considered as animal cruelty and/or neglect. Violet had our 9.6 pound Maltese mix for only one week, beginning Sunday, June 29th, until Sunday, July 6th, when we decided to pick him up due to a disturbing phone call I received from Violet on Saturday, July 5th at 6:30 PM. She called to inform me that our dog started peeing in his crate. This started happening after being in her care for 6 days. This was concerning to me because it's unusual for a dog to pee in it's crate, and could be a sign of a urinary tract infection. She didn't think it was a urinary tract infection and thought it was probably just a behavioral issue because his urine flow hadn't stopped and he was still peeing. Because of this comment I became very concerned, thinking that with all of her experience with dogs she should know that a dog's urinary flow only stops if the infection is severe. I spoke with my husband about the situation and we decided to pick him up the very next morning. When we picked him up, he was dehydrated (his skin/fur could not be pulled away from his body), his stomach he was extremely distended (bloated), he was limping on his right front paw (Violet said it was probably just an ant bite, which it probably was because he stopped limping by Wednesday), and he had a cut on his chin (we noticed this when we got home). He was also very lethargic, out of it, and was very wobbly. On the way home, we stopped to have him weighed at the same place we had him weighed before we took him to her for training, he weighed 11.6 pounds. He gained 2 pounds in 1 week! This is a lot for a 9.6 pound dog! This is approximately a 20% weight gain in one week, which is an unhealthy weight gain regardless if you're animal or human. Tuesday, I had him weighed again and he weighed 10.2 pounds, a loss of 1.4 pounds. The short-period/temporary weight gain was more than likely fluid retention because it came off within 1 1/2 days. This is an indication that his kidneys might not have been functioning properly, possibly because of dehydration. I called Violet after arriving home and asked her directly if she had given my dog CBD. She said she does give dogs CBD, but only does so with the owners permission, and that she did not give any to our dog. She then named 4 different CBD's that she uses for dogs in her care. There are a few more reasons for this negative post, but the dehydration is our most concerning because it is directly related to his health and wellbeing, therefore, I won't go into our other concerns. I contemplated this post (while tending to my sick dog) for just over a week, and came to the conclusion that I have an obligation to inform others of the treatment of our dog so that others who might be considering TLC Canine Training will be well informed. Violet has very high ratings for training dogs, medium to large from what I can see online, but I would definitely not recommend her for training smaller dogs. read more

Violet has worked wonders with my lab (Azumi). This is my second pup that I've had Violet / TLC work with. Training a k9 pup is something I will never figure out. Violet knows the way. She's still a spaz puppy of course, but her training was worth every penny spent with TLC. Thank you so much to Violet / TLC for everything. Violet is truly a dog whisperer! She is not just a dog trainer, but a behavioral specialist also. Violet really knows how to speak a dog's language and communicate to a dog exactly what is expected of them. My parents Shih-Tzu Coco is 1 1/2 years old. She is a sweet, loving dog. But the is also a very stubborn, demanding dog that had accrued some bad habits from being spoiled as a puppy. Coco viewed herself as the alpha of the household and would be very demanding when she didn't get what she wanted, when she wanted it. Violet did the heavy lifting and communicated to Coco in dog language what was expected of her. She took it to the next level by teaching my parents what they needed to to to maintain the training. Coco stayed with Violet for nearly a month. When my parents got her back it was like they got a brand new dog back. Coco is still sweet and loving, but now she is so much better behaved! Violet has gone above and beyond in the training of Coco by making herself available far after the initial training. If Yelp had a way to rate Violet's work with infinite stars, I would do it. Violet has trained Coco in a way that has opened up so many possibilities on where she can be taken. Violet is the best of the best of dog trainers/behavioral specialists, and my parents and I couldn't be more pleased! THANK YOU VIOLET!!! read more

From the very first time I spoke with Violet on the phone, I had a good feeling about her. It was obvious to me that she possessed exceptional knowledge, competence, and expertise about dog training and animal behavior in general. I was especially impressed by how she truly listened to me, understood my concerns, and put me at ease. My positive feelings intensified during subsequent phone calls and especially when we dropped off our Goldendoodle puppy, Lexi, for training with her. Violet deeply cares about the dogs she works with, and it is evident that she loves what she does. Let me start by saying this is the 2nd dog we've put in Ms. Violet' care. Our initial introduction was 2 years ago with a Belgian Melanois puppy, Shadow. She did so well w/ Shadow, I knew I had to send my dog Cairo (Dutch Sheperd , she identified ) to her; especially after he jumped on coffee table & just stood & stared at me.. Cairo continue's to challenge me, however I now know how redirect him, humanely.. If at anytime u need follow/up support, Violet will b there 4 U & your pet . With the results we have received with 2 intelligent dogs, U, should not hesitate, she is worth every penny. She calls the owner or sends videos of your dog during training, (3-4 week board & train). Violet sent me home with a dog that is manner-able, eager to please, follows prompts (most of the time !) When I dropped Cairo off I feared she might call me to "come get him right now !" He was a 3mos, old hot mess... Violet enjoys a challenge, very knowledgeable w/breeds & will not send any dog home Until he/she is ready Violet, Thank U so very much U have provided me a "headstart" ! @ 5-6a.m. every morning Cairo is on my face ready go work.. If U are looking for a dog behaviorist go to Violet. If u are seeking a trainer to get you started w/ basic skills set, go to Violet.. U can return to her for follow-up w/ u & your fur baby !! We called Violet to help us with our 9 month old black lab mix. After speaking with Violet and really feeling that she loves was she does we made the decision to drop him off for three weeks to board and train. Best. Decision. Ever. We just got home with our boy, Roscoe, and I am amazed. She was so thorough on showing us how we needed to continue when we got home with him and sent me links to all the tools that will ensure future success with maintaining his training. Violet tailors the training your dog receives to their personality, temperament, and potential. From sweet young puppies to elderly rescues, every dog goes home with manners, patience, and a petparent who has tools for success and a happy life. My first experience with Violet was with my genetically nervy & subsequently aggressive 7 month old GSD. He was a challenging case but Violet offered me private lessons on her property for as long as we needed them. That was over 20 years ago, and Violet has continued to offer worlds of support for every petparent. To start we had two out of control dogs (GSD and Aussie) that we absolutely could not walk or take anywhere due to aggression. I contacted her via a referral and she was prompt with replying and we set up our appointment very soon after. We told violet all of our concerns and she took her time explaining and was incredibly knowledgeable. Our girls stayed for 3 weeks and we had an in depth session on how to handle them and basically relearn new strategies that were custom to our situation. We then took them on a walk and I was absolutely floored with how well both of them walked. Went from horrific pulling and aggression to an easy and enjoyable walk! Violet also truly, and deeply loves the dogs. It was genuine and I really loved it. We plan on bringing them back for boarding next year! To top off the already amazing service she gave us a follow up session where we worked through any lingering issues and anything we wanted to discuss. It was wonderful to talk to her because she truly is a wealth of knowledge with anything dog related. If you are on the fence with dog training, I cannot recommend Violet enough. In my opinion Violet is the greatest trainer ever, she is really sweet with people and dogs, and I have had experience with other trainers prior meeting her. I saw immediate results and changes in my Dog from the moment we picked him up. My dog is a very reactive dog I just have to continue at home the things she taught me. I almost lost my hope, when I got her cell number from a stranger during my Sunday walk, I said to my self I did not know what I would do if this training would not work, but luckily it did many changes on him, now I have to work on my old habits and keep on been a good alpha I strongly recommend Violet give your self and your dog the chance of a good trainer. Even after I took my baby home she is still guiding me and helping me. I can never thank you enough Violet. read more

TLC K9 Training - KALU on his first ride home after boarding school - Pet Training Near Me

We brought our puppy over to Violet for some obedience training. Violet listened and tailored the program to address our main concerns: our puppy jumping on people and how easily distracted she was. We have lots of neighbors with young kids who are afraid of dogs, especially dogs that jump. Thanks to Violet, Willow is the favorite dog in the neighborhood with kids always asking to pet her (after she sits of course). It was hard to leave our puppy, but she was in good hands and it was all worth it. We are so grateful! read more

If I could give Violet 50 stars I would !!!!! She is amazing to the doggos and to us !!! So knowledgeable and patient !!! She truly loves what she does and it shows - we have 2 high energy shepherd/malinois who learned so much so fast !! I was amazed at how just a little tweak can make such a difference - Violet made us feel like we are going to be much better dog parents now that she shared her knowledge with us - highly recommend and we will be back for another session - we really enjoyed this !!! read more
