Our pitty was trained here over 5 years ago. Violet is very very good with your fur babies. So good we are sending our new puppy for training

I can not say enough about Violet as a person, and her training skills! It started with our 11 week old Cane Corso female showing some red flag behavior. I immediately called Violet and she came to our house and did temperament testing on her. What Violet found was shocking to me and intimidating. our new pup showed some extremely dominant traits. I was given some tasks to work on daily until Storm was old enough to go for board and train. After about a month of working daily with Storm, and seeing great improvement, she was old enough and ready to go stay with Violet for training. Fast forward 3 1/2 weeks, we picked up our pup and I am absolutely impressed at the dog we now have. She is about 4 1/2 months old and I can take her anywhere and she is the most obedient dog there! She walks on a loose leash calmly and has a fantastic down stay!! Having a puppy can be stressful and this has helped tremendously! Ive talked with Violet many times throughout this process and I think we were able to nip a potentially dangerous situation in the bud. Storm shows zero alarming traits now because we were able to catch it early. My family and I are beyond grateful to Violet!!

Violet is amazing! Our lovable Doodle was becoming a huge, energetic problem! She would jump, pull on leash, and run through the home like a maniac. Violet taught our Bailey self-control. She sits to be pet. She can lay "in place" for hours. She also walks in heal position peacefully. Now, Bailey is the dog that we hoped she could be. We can't thank Violet enough for her help!

    Violet is the best!!!

If I could give her 1,000 stars I would. I got my first dog, a Golden Retriever, thinking he'd be an easy dog for a first timer. Boy was I wrong. He was out of control and I couldn't handle him. It was so bad I stopped having guests over or taking him on walks because I was so embarrassed by his behavior. I became resentful towards him and would hide in my room away from him because I was exhausted with him. That's no way for a pet parent or a pet to live but I can't stress enough how serious the situation was. I got weekly phone calls from his doggy daycare requesting that I pick him up due to his behavior. I went through 4 different private trainers, who came to my home, and that didn't work. I took him to group classes and that didn't work. When he got to 14 months I got a new Maltipoo puppy because people said that would help if he had a friend. WRONG. Then I was stuck with 2 out of control monsters. I say stuck because I refused to give up on them. Thankfully, I didn't. Because I found Violet. She has been the greatest thing that's happened to me and my pups. She was the only one who truly understood what my dogs needed and what I was going through. After staying with Violet and going through her board and train program, I feel like I have completely different dogs!! The first few nights they were back, I sat on my couch and cried tears of joy because I felt like I finally had my life back. Not only does she work with your dogs but she really works with you to build your confidence. In 15 months I was only able to walk my Golden once, when he was a fraction of his size. Since he's been back, we walk/jog 3 miles every day. I feel so much more confident in my ability to lead him and my little Maltipoo. I can't put into words how grateful I am for violet and how lucky I feel to have found her. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my dogs and I won't go to anyone else for any dog I have in the future. She is so passionate about this and I 100% believe she was put on this earth to work with furbabies. If you love your furbabies and want to work with someone who will be 100% invested in you and your pups then look no further than Violet! You will be beyond grateful.

Violet did a phenomenal job with our Giant Schnauzer. When we dropped Oakley off she was wild, always jumping on us, constantly biting, pulling on the leash, and could not be out of her kennel without immediate supervision. Now she is much calmer, does great on the leash, stays on her bed next to us even while we are eating dinner. Once the leash is attached she goes into work mode. Focuses on us and hardly gets distracted. If you are thinking of sending your puppy to a training, Violet is the expert to go to!

I knew when we decided to get a cane corso, they'd need a professional training. I reached out to Violet before we received Kodak, our corso, from the breeder after two of my clients at the salon I own recommended her. They'd had their corsos trained by her and had nothing but wonderful things to say. At sixteen weeks, we dropped Kodak off. I was so nervous, but she put all my worries to rest. Violet is an open book. She was quick to answer any questions we had, and she was very detailed in her training plans with Kodak. For three weeks, she sent us updates with pictures and videos. While we missed him a lot, I never worried about his care. When we were able to pick him up, Violet went above and beyond to give us all the information we needed to ensure Kodak's training is a success. She has even answered the texts I've sent her since with a helping hand. Kodak is the first dog we've formally trained, and I'll never own another dog without putting them through the program. I can't recommend Violet enough.

Chloe- Super excited for her to come home!

Violet is amazing! I have a beautiful and well bred schnauzer that was a happy out of control girl. I've bred, raised and trained dogs my entire life. I have never had a dog like her. Violet was my last option for her. I interviewed 11 trainers and was not satisfied with the answers that I got. I did not want her being trained by somebody who would stick her in a kennel and bring her out a half hour each day. I wanted her to learn and how to behave in the real world. Violets philosophy was amazing. She was exactly what I was looking and hoping for. My little girl was definitely a challenge. But the psycho, crazy nut dog that I couldn't even get to hold still long enough to put a leash on is now walking freely on a leash with all kinds of distractions. And she has started her down stays- the idea that she could actually sit still for more than a half a second is amazing to me. She will be there a couple more weeks and I can't wait to see the dog that comes home. I'm really really excited. Thank you, Violet! I have a brand new puppy that I was going to work with. Nope! After seeing what Violet did with Missy, she's getting my new puppy so I know that when she comes home, she's already going to be amazing! Stress relief is worth everything. Thank you, Violet for everything that you have given me with my Fur babies. I am attaching a video. This may not seem like a big deal to everybody. But this is a dog that you couldn't even put a leash on because she was so out of control. Not mean. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body. But she was so happy she could not control herself long enough for you to put a leash on her. Look at her now. She is a totally different dog. I am positive that this is because of Violet. Her patience and love for the dogs that she works with is undeniable.

    Our Boy Gamba!!

So blessed to have found TLC training. Recently we got our new boy Gamba!! We wanted to get him in training due to his breed and size as soon as possible. Violet was very friendly and welcoming when I called her number she immediately started to help us even before the training session. We had previously owned a Cane Corso after 11 yrs he passed it was heart breaking for me. So we decided to get another boy and wanted to make sure that we properly got him trained. We are so thankful we did, even though we had previous experience with the breed there was still so many things we learned from training with TLC . As parents we wanted to learned more to better understand our Boy Gamba. Violet has been amazing and very attentive to our journey.. an exceptional trainer for our boy!!

Violet has worked wonders with my lab (Azumi). This is my second pup that I've had Violet / TLC work with. Training a k9 pup is something I will never figure out. Violet knows the way. It's quite amazing. Puppy choc labs are wild and destructive, but Violet trained our baby to understand her role at a very young age. She's still a spaz puppy of course, but her training was worth every penny spent with TLC. Thank you so much to Violet / TLC for everything. Violet is extremely personable and we've become great friends in the process that I'm sure will last for years to come. Talk soon Violet and thanks for everything . We will be back to visit soon and I'm sure Zummi wants a refresher lol.

I took my 3 little poodles to Violet to help kennel train them and help with potty training. They are doing a million times much better than when I took them and Violet treated them like her own little babies :) She updated me with pictures and gave me instructions on how to care for my babies at home. Zero in particular would not even budge with a leash and now walks like a pro!

Violet has been a blessing! Our doggie was out of control and jumping on everyone NOW he is respectful and patient, 100% recommend!
    Karla M.

I 100% recommend Violet for your dog training! She has been so amazing! Our pup was a crazy pup that loves jumping on everyone and totally would not listen and now he is the most gentle, patient and respectful baby boy ever

Violet is truly a dog whisperer! She is not just a dog trainer, but a behavioral specialist also. Violet really knows how to speak a dog's language and communicate to a dog exactly what is expected of them. My parents Shih-Tzu Coco is 1 1/2 years old. She is a sweet, loving dog. But the is also a very stubborn, demanding dog that had accrued some bad habits from being spoiled as a puppy. Coco viewed herself as the alpha of the household and would be very demanding when she didn't get what she wanted, when she wanted it. Violet did the heavy lifting and communicated to Coco in dog language what was expected of her. She took it to the next level by teaching my parents what they needed to to to maintain the training. Coco stayed with Violet for nearly a month. When my parents got her back it was like they got a brand new dog back. Coco is still sweet and loving, but now she is so much better behaved! Violet has gone above and beyond in the training of Coco by making herself available far after the initial training. If Yelp had a way to rate Violet's work with infinite stars, I would do it. Violet has trained Coco in a way that has opened up so many possibilities on where she can be taken. Violet is the best of the best of dog trainers/behavioral specialists, and my parents and I couldn't be more pleased! THANK YOU VIOLET!!!

    Vinny holding his place

I recently had a fantastic experience with the highly recommended Violet. Her expertise and patience truly made a difference in my dog's behavior. The training was strictly tailored to my dog's needs, and Violets approach worked wonders. Highly recommend the amazing Violet!

I was referred to Anthony by a couple of people and after reading his reviews I decided to hire Anthony. Through the process, Anthony kept in communication with me on Penny's progress. Five days prior to her training completion Anthony sent a message via text informing me that Penny possibly sprained her paw/ankle jumping off one of the obstacles courses he had her on. I was set back at first because agility training wasn't agreed upon or part of Penny's program. My understanding is that the obstacle courses are used for agility training which was not part of her 5 week course. He informed me that she was putting a little bit of pressure on it, but because she was not crying and still eating and drinking he believed it was a good sign. He advised me how the same thing happened to his dog and it was ok after a week and that was why he suspected it was just a sprain and didn't think she needed to go to the vet. As an experienced trainer I trusted his judgment because I was not physically there in person to see her behavior. Upon arriving to pick her up; as he brought her out she wasn't putting any pressure on her back right leg at all, only when he asked her to sit. Due to her injury Anthony thought it would be best if we did her last two hour sessions another day. He informed me that we would go over the training he completed with Penny once she got better. Upon leaving Anthony due to the injury and pain I can see on Penny's face I didn't feel right driving six hours back home without getting her examined so I decided to take her to a near by emergency vet. Penny was diagnosed with a dislocated hip and fracture. The vet informed me that if he had brought her in the day of the incident, they could have popped her hip back in. Given that time had passed they had to perform two procedures and now her recovery is to be crated/confined and heavily medicated with little to no activity for 8-12 weeks hoping the procedure is successful. After 8 weeks of recovery, the vet will examine her by X-ray to rule out having to perform a total hip replacement. When I updated Anthony on Penny's condition after her first vet visit, he responded.. "Poor penny I didn't think it would be her hip. I'm so sorry this happened I've never had a dog get hurt before" Afters Penny's procedure, I sent Anthony an update and informed him what was completed and what Penny had to go through. I also asked if he could possibly refund me for the training because in my mind I thought it was the right thing to do since it was only a fraction of the total costs of vet visits and her surgery. He never responded, called or text. This all happened within the week of picking up penny on May 27, 2023 and the last I heard from him was on June 13th. Penny's next appointment in August will determine if she needs a hip replacement. It has been almost two months since the first procedure and her behavior has worsened. She is now more anxious, timid and afraid of being left alone. The vet bills alone have already exceeded the price of training. Due to her pain and suffering she did not retain any of her training. The reason for my review is to warn others of the kind of trainer you will be working with. I would have at least expected a return call or text from Anthony. I never expected a full refund but I did expect him to be professional and at least offer a solution instead he turned his back and disregarded us. Definitely not a trainer I would recommend to anyone.

You can tell how much time, patience, and care Carissa puts into her training. Carissa even met us halfway to pick her up as we lived a little far from her. When we picked our dog up, Carissa spent over an hour teaching us everything we need to know to continue reinforcing the commands and training at home. She made sure we felt confident before leaving. At the same time, we were seeing our dog being posted on Instagram more than we were getting direct updates, even after we asked for them. She pinned Chorizo on her Instagram, in the number one post slot, while we hadn't heard from her in three days and didn't even know he was going on a field trip. This was especially difficult for my wife, who had recently lost her father and was already going through a lot. Being separated from our dog was hard on her. We asked multiple times for updates so we could reassure her, but it never felt like we were getting the same level of feedback other reviewers experienced. The training experience didn't match what we expected. Recall still needs work, and "place" became more confusing. Before, he would go where I pointed. Now he tries multiple spots and flinches (expecting a stim), even after we bought him a cot. We asked Cari to introduce Chorizo to our e-collar (EZ Educator). During the consultation, she mentioned that he would learn recall and other commands to near perfection before the e-collar was introduced, and that vibration would be used before stim. The handoff only showed e-collar stim commands, and vibration was not introduced. His recall without the e-collar still needs work. We never received a clear breakdown of what he was working on during the program and mostly followed his progress through Instagram. After pickup, I had to follow up just to get a list of commands. The handoff felt rushed. He was exhausted, it was a hot day, and she had forgotten a water bowl, so a lot of the time was spent just letting him drink water. There was no follow-up afterward to see how he was doing. A few hours after getting him back that Friday, we took him to a groomer who pointed out a cracked toenail down to the quick and irritation on his neck from his e-collar. The groomer said the irritation looked like burns from an e-collar that hadn't been rotated and advised us to monitor his paw to make sure it didn't get worse. We took it easy and avoided taking him out while he healed, but by Tuesday his paw started bleeding. We notified Cari and let her know we would be taking him to the vet after my scheduled surgery. I had carpal tunnel release surgery on both hands that Wednesday, and I took him to the vet while recovering on Thursday. He developed an infection and a fever that required sedation, nail removal, and stitches. This whole experience is not what we expected after reading her Yelp reviews. Even trying to work things out with Cari regarding the vet bills, after we negotiated the cost down with the vet and insurance covered a significant portion, was disappointing. We weren't asking for everything, just something fair. The procedure cost about $900 if the dog is sedated. We asked her to participate $350-$380. She offered $100. When I told her that Chorizo was at the vet because his paw was bleeding, her response was, "Ok thank you for the update." We weren't able to reach an agreement and were told, by Cari, that small claims court would be the best way to resolve it, which is what we are now pursuing. Regarding our training equipment, we also had to follow up on two leashes and e-collar prongs that weren't returned after the program. She told my wife she broke the retractable leash and would send a replacement right away, but a week and a half later we still haven't received confirmation that it's been sent. (Edit: retractable leash and prongs received 3/31 via Amazon Prime.)
