I've been wanting to try TK's since moving to the Downtown Puyallup area. I noticed they had a deal on Groupon, so I snagged that and my husband and I visited on a Saturday afternoon (1:30 PM or so) for lunch. It was packed when we got there - literally the only table available was one that was piled with dishes from the last people that were there. Not a big deal - it's a small place and I figured they would come clean it off fairly quickly once they saw someone new sit down. We sat there for about 15-20 minutes without anyone even greeting us or taking a drink order, or give us menus. We saw a few tables that had been there waiting to be served leave because of the wait - apparently they had been sitting there for a while too and didn't get acknowledged. I decided I would just go grab some menus and give it a little more time...well it turns out there was only one server in the restaurant and she was having to handle the bar and the all the tables - I honestly felt bad for her. She was very nice and apologized - we let it go because we are nice, patient people and know how it goes. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip to share, as well as the shepards pie. Food was just okay, it was something we could've easily duplicated at home and probably made better. It looks like a really cool atmosphere and I am sure it would be the perfect place to watch the Sounders. Maybe we will give it another shot - but the management really needs to consider additional help on weekends so people aren't sitting for upwards of 30 minutes waiting for their drink order to be taken. read more

While the food was good, and the service was fine, no amount of good food or service can make me return to this place so long as the overweight drunken man who is apparently a regular there is around. I took a date here, and he was CONSTANTLY pestering us. Between his lurid remarks, and trying to "Hug" my date in the hallway when she went to use the restroom, he single-handed ruined the entire visit. Embarrassingly slow service. Food was OK for bar food. Don't expect much. Especially by the size of the kitchen by the bathrooms . Staffing wise it's hit and miss. This is a fun local pub. The staff and patrons are both really cool. Although I did not eat there the menu looks yummy.

Really great spot to get some grub, and watch the game on a giant TV screen. As soon as you walk in, you can tell this is a soccer bar, tons of soccer jerseys and scarves are on the walls and ceiling. They use to have a Klassic cheeseburger for $5, Wednesday's and Sundays which was amazing. They no longer have this. Just came in for the first time since covid and witnessed the owner (Jason) walk in with no mask, and am watching him continue to talk with staff and patrons with no mask. Guess 500k people dead from this virus doesn't register to his brain. I will no longer support this business. It's sad how ignorant people are to this virus. We love this place. We were on our way home (we live on south hill) and decided to drive down Meridian and try a place we'd never been to. The food is made from scratch, my wife had the bangers and mash, real mashed potatoes, that's rare these days. I had the BBB burger, it was fantastic. We are mug club members at the Ram, but since they changed their menu we usually only go there for a beer, rarely eat anything other than an appetizer. We then stopped in to the TK for a second time, it was a Thursday evening and the place was pretty busy. I would suggest they put on a second person on wait staff, hard for the bartender to work the bar and all the tables. They had a steak special, salad (which I gave to the wife) steak and fries for $12, nice deal, and cooked perfectly. The people here are super friendly. Was there yesterday for lunch. We were visiting Puyallup and needed a lunch spot and of couse you can't go wrong with an Irish Pub. The decor was good, and everyone was friendly. The food was very good: I had the steak salad and my buddy had the Irish Dip. I would give it 5 stars but have to go down to 4 because the food took a while to come out. For lunch, taking about 30 minutes for your food to come out is not acceptable. Overall a great place to hang out and next time in Puyallup, I will go have a drink at night. Their pricing is deceiving. $14 for a burger and if you get fries or salad its extra. So $14 for just the burger and it was burnt. Another one in group sent salad back as he ordered no tomatoes or onions and we could hear the cook flip out. So unprofessional and so expensive. Pretty nice little spot. The place is setup and decorated well. Good selection on tap, and out of the bottle. Pretty friendly staff the last 2 times I've been in, really interesting menu, great prices, and really good pub food. Could be a 5 star pub, but there is 1 toilet for everyone to share, guys and girls. And it happens to be right next to the ice machine and kitchen, which isn't ideal. Came here yesterday in the afternoon. Was packed with lots of mature folks, and tough to find a spot to sit, but I didn't expect anything really on St. Patty's. They handled it well with lots of out door seating free beer with $5 admission fee. Live Johnny Cash cover band and brats. I was really hoping for some Irish nachos, but I suppose I can waltz down again on a not so busy evening and grab some ;). They have Irish Death on Tap I LOVE IT! read more

The Irish Meatloaf is the absolute best the only reason I didn't give less stars...if you can get it. Called to order ahead and the woman who answered seemed almost bothered that I would even ask for that menu item. Mind you this is the 3rd time I have tried to get this for lunch in the last 2 weeks. My boyfriend loves the Reuben here and was exited to take me tonight. The gal came to take our drink order and I wasn't sure yet because we didn't have menus, so she brought some. That was the last time we saw her and we waited for 40 minutes. At first we wanted to be patient as she was the only person we saw working, but after she waited on every table around us, multiple times, without so much as eye contact, we left cash on the table for my boyfriend's beer and walked out. After all the good reviews I was expecting much more. We had the meatballs and bangers and chips eventually after waiting a good 20 minutes for someone to take our order. The meatballs were not hot and were kind of tasteless. The gravy tasted like a packet mix, very plastic tasting. The potatoes were the only good thing about this dish. The bangers were cheap and lacked meat content. Chips were good although being British I was expecting chips not potato chips. Service was slow, it's was loud and full of overly drunk folks and other than serving Guinness and displaying some football shirts I'm not really sure what makes this place Irish. We used to come here all the time until about a year ago. We decided to give it another try on meeker night and were disappointed yet again. We ordered drinks and was given attitude when I asked for a virgin drink since I was pregnant with the waitress telling me "only because you're pregnant". We decided to order nachos and asked for some of the toppings on the side and the bartender/waitress gave us a look of death which made us change our mind and just asking for nachos. It took 20+ minutes to get our nachos which were cold because they had been sitting out on the window counter. They were barely topped with it smothered in too much salt. For $12 the portion was terrible and significantly smaller than before. We promptly asked for our check and left with absolutely NO plans on ever going back. read more

Sat there an efficient about of time without being acknowledged or served because the bartender/waitress was to busy talking to another customer. I had to go up and ask for menus while waiting for her to finish hugging and kissing some man. I was not impressed or very happy to say the least. Thereafter, she came to our table and asked if I had a problem...... Really, that's what you say to a customer??? Let's say we got up and walked out. More of a modern Irish bar, wouldn't say it is very authentic. The food is very good though! Service is so so depending on who you get. On more than one occasion a certain bartender has made eye contact with me and minutes later after many people who showed up after me she finally served me. She constantly forgets to bring menus and ignores people. Some people are much more attentive than others and are very friendly and helpful. Gets pretty packed on Fridays and Saturdays since it is a smaller place. If you go later in the night its not so bad. The atmosphere is really good though! Its a lot nicer inside that most of the other downtown Puyallup bars. Its about averagely priced and their pitchers are only 4 beers each which is kind of a bummer. Stopped in the first time this last Saturday, and I have to say, I was impressed. Puyallup has really been needing something new downtown and I think we finally got what we were all waiting for. Small, but intimate setting (seating maybe 50 inside and an additional 20 on their outdoor patio - which is awesome) Decor is done perfectly to create that local neighborhood pub feel. There wasn't a game when we were there, but I imagine the atmosphere to be incredibly fun when there is one. we didn't eat, just drinks but the prices were very reasonable...hoping those aren't the "we just opened and haven't balanced our budget yet" rates. $12 pitcher of micro, $1 jello shots - pretty good deals. Some of the worst service I've ever received. My boyfriend and I went in on a Sunday night. The blonde behind the bar watched us walk in gave us a dirty look. Then we sat at a table. She ignored us for about 5-8 minutes while she just stood there talking. Finally she slowly walked over to us. She seemed so annoyed that she had to help us. We sat with our drinks empty until I finally flagged her down. Then she disappeared for about 15-20 minutes. While us and 3 other couples sat with empty drinks. When she finally returned I had to go to the bar to order. Needless to say I would not ever recommend this place. I'm in the industry I would never treat my costumers this way read more

Spent the day in downtown Puyallup. Coworker had driven by TK Irish pub and so we had to check it out. We were immediately greeted when we walked in and the bartender, Molly, apologized as she was cleaning several tables from patrons who had just left. She shouldn't have apologized because the place was very well put together and despite the two recently vacated tables, in very clean condition. The bathrooms were clean (I had to make a pitstop) and Molly was quick to give us some suggestions and could not have been friendlier. Several regulars were visiting and it added to the atmosphere. They were quick to let is know some drinks and menu items to try. We were wanting a Bloody Mary, and we were not dissapointed. What an awesome spicy Bloody Mary. The garnishes were a meal in themself. And the bacon....we were told the magic was added by TK and yummy it was awesome. Honestly, as a spur of the moment stop, we made a very good choice. The food smelled and looked amazing (sadly we just were there for drinks,) and we will definitely be back in. The atmosphere was awesome, the drinks even more awesome and Molly...she knows how to work a room. She was so busy but made everyone feel welcome, and like they were her best friend. This place is awesome, and was just what Puyallup needed. Twisted Kilt is a classic Irish Pub with a modern flare, and is much better than all the other dive bars in downtown Puyallup. I seem to visit the Kilt at least a couple times a week, either to grab a beer with friends or to delight myself in their amazing food. Being an established bar (that is 21+ all the time), of course their drink selection is good. They even have premium whiskey and wine if you really wanna treat yourself. And I'm a big fan of their beer selection. They have a lot of beers on tap that are hard to find elsewhere (Smithwicks being my current fave). Where this place really shines though, is the food. I'm pretty sure they have the best burger I've ever had... the Klassic with cheddar is hard to beat. I really wanna try some of the more authentic Irish dishes, like shepherd's pie, or some of their authentic English dishes, like the bangers and mash, or the fish and chips. The atmosphere and decor is great too. Soccer jerseys on the ceiling, with classic pub decor on the walls, and tons of HD TV's. Oh, and a TouchTunes Jukebox with a great selection! Another thing about this place is it really seems to be all-ages friendly (above drinking age, of course). Popular with crowds from 21-60. With that said, the Kilt is almost ALWAYS packed, because it's unfortunately small, and seats about 30. read more

I've been a regular at the Twisted Kilt since the first month they opened, and I fell in love. There is no other bar in Puyallup like it. Its truly a bar where "everyone knows your name". Not only is the food amazing (best Ruben I've ever had) but the staff is awesome. I'm sad to see some of the comments on here! I'm in there pretty much every Monday and Tuesday, I've never seen a fight break out once? It is a pub after all, so I'm sure there has been altercations but I've never seen one. However there has been shootings and fights at other local bars that I wont even step foot in now. Mondays nights are my favorite Jen and Jason take such good care of me. A few months ago I had a little to much to drink and they called me a cab, and paid for it too! Jason also ordered coors lite cans just for me, and bush lite cans for my friends. They have a huge variety of beers on tap and .99 cent Hammes which makes it a lot easier on the check book to be in there so often! I've talked with both owners several times! They are both good guys and really care about there customers, you can really tell. I think its the best thing that has happened to Puyallup, and everyone I bring with me feels the same!
