I booked a Back Facial because as we all know, backs are the hardest part of the body to reach and clean. My exfoliating brush does the trick but nothing like this. My masseuse/esthetician was Aniyah M. and she was lovely. She explained to me what she was going to do from cleansing to exfoliating, then moisturizing & massaging the back with an analysis if one has bacne (Yes, that's a real thing to have acne on your back). Luckily I didn't have any and the experience went well. She recommended some body wash products in and out of Massage Envy's that were more affordable. Unfortunately I found out at check out it was her last day so I was sad to hear because I definitely would have returned to this location for her services. I likely will return for this service in the future.

Christina asked me to complete a skin questionnaire upon my arrival, and at the beginning of the appointment, she assessed my skin carefully (but without the judgmental comments that I unnecessarily had feared) and recommended the facial that she thought would be best for me. Each step of the way throughout the facial, Christina explained what she was doing, and she also provided helpful skin tips and insights. She truly took her time, and she clearly took pride in providing quality, individualized care to me (and to her clients overall, I would think). At the end of the facial, Christina also provided me a nice travel-size kit of skincare products (with detailed individualized recommendations) to put me on the right path for post-facial skincare. Christina introduced me to the skincare line that she uses and that she offers for sale to her clients, but she did not pressure me to buy products. I fully recommend Christina and Skin Zen Escape. However, the last 2 times have been 2 separate ladies. The first of those was Kalpana's sister, who was very nice, but missed a lot of spots. Someone else came in and she appeared to rush on me and missed a bit in the middle. When lotioning she used way too much and it got in my eyes. She also had a bit of an attitude and wasn't very nice? During our appointment my acne was evidently severe mainly around my chin/cheeks. Arlette mentioned I should book a skin consultation appointment to help me get it under control. They primarily use ZO products. She put me onto the following: oil control pads, daily power defense, exfoliating cleanser, acne control benzoyl peroxide, dual action scrub, tretinoin, and recommended spf. Products were not used in that order, they created a custom day and night routine for me. Then switch to retinol instead of Tret.
