Even though there is a language barrier, they made sure we were comfortable during our massage. We will be back.

I walked into the…read morebusiness to book an hour massage for myself and an hour massage for my husband for this evening at 8 pm. The staff speaks mostly Chinese. I was asked "for two" and I thought I was being asked if I was booking a massage for two people so I said "yes". I have no idea what the different kinds of massage are. When we arrived we each had two massage personnel. I didn't know what I was supposed to expect. Is that normal? I didn't know. I was asked standing up and asked to remove my robe with four people in the room. Is that normal? It felt very uncomfortable. It turned out that two ladies worked on me and two ladies worked on my husband. The massage table face hole was very uncomfortable. When I got home I was sad to see I have a bruise on my face under my lip from the table pressing into my skin. The massage was a lot of deep pressure, but uneven. The same things were not done on both sides so it felt unbalanced. Prior to starting the massage I used Google translate to share where I needed them to be careful, but I had to remind them to be gentle when they reached my artificial joint because they must have forgotten. The massage seemed okay to me because I like deep pressure but my husband said he felt like it was too deep for his liking. When we went to settle at the counter, we were charged an additional $160 beyond the $160 gift certificates we had. We were also pressed for a tip for four people. My husband tipped well, because the ladies had physically worked hard for the hour. We can't spend another $400+ on a massage here. Make sure that you fully understand what you are booking before you walk into the room. I thought I was purchasing off of the menu on the counter, which is $80 for an hour. The booking touch screen didn't say anything about the booking being for something special. It just asked if I wanted to sign up for specials and what kind of pressure I wanted and where did I want treatment on my anatomy. If I had known I was being booked into something so pricey I would have made sure I only wanted to use my gift certificate amount.

I went to Happy Feet on a whim, as my previous therapist left their place of employment, and told…read moreme not to go back due to a few issues. There was someone in the front when I got there, and they greeted me professionally - not a warm "Cheers" type welcome, but not ice cold. She told me the price for a one hour massage was $50.00, so I decided to go ahead with it. Oh, and to contradict one of the previous reviews, there was no odor around. Perhaps that review caught it on a bad day. The bathroom is also clean. I always stop in it before a massage because if someone is going to be twisting and pressing on me, I want an empty bladder... The rooms themselves are decent - actual walls that go almost to the ceiling instead of curtains on the side, and a good double curtain as the door. Otherwise, it is a standard massage room that would fit in at most any reputable massage place. As some have noted, they use terrycloth towels instead of sheets or blankets. To me, that isn't a bother. If I'm going for a massage, I expect 95% of my body to be touched... the only "keep covered" parts are my front from my waist to my upper thigh... and the towel is more than sufficient for that. As for the massage itself, I can only speak for the therapist I had (whose name I didn't get). On the back, she was very good. Maybe not excellent, but satisfactory. But, as others have noted, she seemed to spend a lot of time on my face (which I hate being massages/rubbed with oil, but that is on me for not telling her no), and my feet. Once I flipped onto my back, she probably spent about 2 minutes total on my chest and upper thighs. So while the quality of the massage was decent, it wasn't a great overall "body-works" massage. I will say the therapist was respectful of personal space. I was charged the $50.00, but noticed quickly that was a special with a coupon. Regular price is $60, and I'm not sure I'd go back for that, especially since there are two local similar style places that offer 60 minutes for $49-$50 dollars (and one includes some passes with hot stones. Perhaps if I vocalized what I expected from the massage, it might have been more satisfying. But I usually don't do that the first time to see what the "Normal" massage is. All in all, it wasn't a bad massage, but I'm not feeling the urgent need to go back again either.

Clean rooms, tables, linens. Very pleasant and friendly. At the time of this review, $50 for 30…read moreminutes and $70 for 60 minutes. Very relaxing massage and much needed. Sometimes they offer 30 minutes for $30 chair massage, usually with signage near the roads. Plenty of parking. In a strip mall, near McDonald's.
