This is a lovely little thrift store right on downtown Main Street in Sandwich. It is associated…read morewith the attached Episcopal church and church volunteers were running the shop and register. It is relatively small inside, so it is set up to walk through in a one-direction loop rather than being able to meander around. The donated goods are mostly mall brands and the styles were pretty basic wares, but the prices were excellent. Like all thrift stores, you never know what you will find that day which is part of the joy of thrifting. Everything was clearly price marked and very affordable (for example, all shirts were $3 and all shoes were $5). Everything was clean and for the most part organized, with a few large totes and bins you could dig through.

Target was nice enough to take care of this in the app, but it's still a problem that can be fixed at the employee level. Store is always clean inside. Prices have gone up a lot in the past few years and the clothing styles haven't been right in regards to sizing and fit. I frequent target far less than I did a few years ago.

I had one item to return, stood at the return desk just watching two male employees in the (sort of )back area off to the side talking and just couldn't get their attention (honestly, I should have just walked back there). When they finally came out, I said hello and they just shrugged.

I agree that…read morethey don't acknowledge customers, which they should, but it's a small beach town and pushy salespeople would probably turn clients off. Their selection of clothes and accessories was good and the downstairs area was full of discounted (though messy) items. I'm a huge fan of the Holebrook sweaters they carry and you won't find them elsewhere outside Sweden. Stars were docked because after spending close to $800 on 4 sweaters I arrived back home in DC to find a huge black sensor wasn't removed from my white sweater. So very frustrating, especially considering the employees really only rung us up to accomplish this sale. (And there's obviously no alarm in the store.). When I called to inquire about their solution to this issue they apologized and emailed me a shipping label to ship the sweater back and forth. While this is certainly inconvenient, they did solve the problem at their added expense. I'm a little surprised they didn't offer anything further--a gift card would seem reasonable to make up for a negative experience. (I've had this happen before when a store committed a similar blunder.)

So we look over and we see no customers waiting to cash out or anything. Talk about micro management.. why can't see relax her feet when no one is around?? Is it any skin off this man's back? I worked in a fast paced factory setting and an American Eagle store before and it wasn't that serious. I don't know who or what this man's role is but if he really didn't want an employee to be comfortable at work then he should've assigned her something else to do while she waited for customers. I've seen this cashier work there before and she is friendly and works so I really don't know what this man's problem was. Oh and also, I was shopping in the bathroom section when I saw father and son(customers) testing out a soccer ball and this man really said "we have to sell that so dont do that." I see nothing wrong with testing out a product you're potentially going to buy. If I take it home and it's flat I would return it so why not give it a little test. Needless to say the duo walked away and I don't blame them, I personally would've walked out that store really upset. So I give 5 stars to the cashier because she held her composure for the most part, she was upset rightfully so. And I DEDUCT 3 stars for that man's micro management behavior at a RETAIL store because I don't believe all Ollie's have someone like that working there and I really do enjoy Ollie's most the time. So hectic, stressful and poor work environment. Disappointed..I hope to never experience this again.
