The staff here are always super friendly and respectful. Decent selection of good finds. Found a couple mini le creuset items today. Relatively cheap. I like to just walk around and see what I can find. Not really a place to shop for specific things in my opinion. read more

DO NOT BUY jewelry in TJ Maxx. They do not stand by their product even if it breaks. I spent lots of money here on jewelry & other things. My necklace broke because it was very thin 14K gold netting over CZ stone. No one knew how to fix it so I brought it back asking for an exchange( they had more of the same necklace) & they would not take it back because it was a few days after return date. If you buy anything else there they will always give you @ least a credit with receipt but not Jewelry. I'd rather pay more in another store & have them fix it if broken ( even if I have to pay) Now I have no use for it & its 14K gold throw in the trash read more

AWFUL TJ Maxx. The only reason it gets any more than one star is because they got lucky. Pre Hurricane Sandy, this place was a dump. Clothes were on the floor, the cosmetics and house goods were always open and broken, and it just looked dismal and dirty. Post-Sandy restoration, this place stepped it up. Most of the time, it does cover some good product. NOW..why is it so horrible? Well, for one...I was PICK POCKETED and nearly lost my identity one night while shopping at this EXACT location! The store is disorganized and clearly needs to up their security. The second reason is for customer service. Before I realized that my wallet had been stollen, I was given a lot of crap from the lady behind the jewelry case. She was rude and less than helpful. This was all in September Flash forward to the present. Today, I was in need of a mug. I had been banning this particular TJMaxx due to my horrible experience last September. Out of desperation, I ran in and gave the shop another shot. The home section was a DISASTER. I'm lucky that I was able to make it through the broken candles. I was in a hurry, and alas, was made late due to the ridiculously long line. I understand that it was the end of Forth of July weekend. HOWEVER, the lines could have been organized better. For example, I hollered across the partition (where they sell extra last minute goods in line) to the cashier if maybe they could start an express line for people with 10 items or less. I told them that I LITERALLY had 3 things. They laughed at me and ignored me. Once I got to the head of the line (almost 20 minutes later,) the girl ringing me up was unfriendly and unaccommodating. She didn't say two words to me. AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS. Go to Oceanside instead! read more

Definitely not the nicest of TJMaxx locations, but it's good enough for a neighborhood store. I wish they carried higher end items like other locations in Long Island, but I guess it's due to the area it's in. Their dress section needs some serious work. The prices aren't that competitive for what they offer, and their selection is skimpy. I do tend to find good bargains on sweaters and tops, though. You really have to be diligent and comb through the racks to find a good deal, so be patient. read more

I'll never go back to this store the store manager was very disrespectful to not only me but my father in law, on top of that the manager and the cashiers weren't on the same page the cashier would say one thing and the manager would say another. Came here to return an online purchase. The guy on the register didn't know how to do returns so he had to call for a manager. Within 2-3 minutes manager arrived she was friendly and pleasant. I had five items to return they were unworn, with a receipt and had all the tags. She wanted to know if I had the clear plastic bags that the clothes had come packaged in.... Of course not, didn't know I had to return those also. She said she needed the plastic bags in order to process the return. Baffled I told her well I don't have them. I have a receipt and the items have tags so isn't that sufficient. Long story short I guess she figured out how to process the returns without the plastic wrappers. I stood there for about 25 minute waiting while she scanned, printed tags and then turned the transaction over to the male cashier who completed the refund and I went on my merry way. Even though I was not please with the return process I have to admit that the female manager was very apologetic about my wait and she was always professional in her interaction with me. read more

Not my favorite place to be but certainly a change from pre sandy. They've gotten a lot better but they still have a ways to go. Much cleaner than I remember but you still have to sift through to find certain items. Most things are in their place but it depends on the time and day you choose to go. read more

Store is very unorganized I saw signs on the top and there was other products under it the staff was ok the store had product all over the store and the line was outrageous they had people just standing around and talking while the line was just building up. Like those in the same vein, what you find depends on when you walk in because it's always just a little bit different each time. You must be open to spending when you waltz in here and be prepared to not spend at all. I have never had such horrible customer service ever. They do nothing to help you, they actually go out of there way to show you they don't want to help you. I came here to purchase a sun hat for my next trip. The hat I chose to purchase didn't have a price on it and there were others like it on the racks where the other hats were located. I brought the item to the register for purchase and explained to the cashier that I couldn't bring her one with a price because there were no others. She got a manager, Hector to assist with the transaction. First they had me stand to the side while she took other customers which was fine. Then Hector told me they were unable to find the price and he asked me if I was "sure I didn't take the price tag off". I didn't understand the question. Assuming I wanted the hat, why would I purposely take the price off. So I said no. I told him i was willing to pay a price similar to the price of other hats in the section. He explained that it wasn't possible for him to change the price and that I would just have to not purchase the hat at all. So not to be argumentative, although I was really confused on the kind of business that was being run. I kept shopping for other items while I make my way back around I see the manager Hector placing the hat back on the hat rack with a "made price" on a red sticker. I felt sincerely disrespected and confused. I have never been treated like this before read more
