The seasonal section wasn't too bad but the clothing department. It was bad. Everything there seemed extremely old and dated but the prices weren't even that cheap. There weren't a lot of great brands to boast about either. Looking at the accessory section and shoe section was worse. Basically empty. The store was honestly sad to shop in. There were a handful of employees around, all who seemed nice. This store seemed a bit drab as well. Walking into this location vs Jenkintown would make you think this is an entirely different retail chain with how different it is. The housewares section was a bit messy as well. The rest of the store pretty well maintained. Overall I'd say pass on this location and hit up the other locations. This one will more than likely disappoint.

As the store name implies, you're at a bargain discount supermarket of course. Much of what you'll find here are manufacture overstock, limited-run products (cereal especially) and occasionally store brands from outside supermarket chains that don't serve the same region. Sometimes you'll come across items that are a bit roughed up. For the most part though, the contents contained are still in good shape. So don't let the packaging fool you, especially for the amount you'll be saving. Just about everytime I show up here, I've always been able to discover something worth trying. Unfortunately with a store like this, what you find there one day might not be around the next. They once had stocked these awesome Ritz style crackers in individual sleeves for a great price. The flavor was twice as buttery and I truly enjoyed them. But alas, they were gone and nowhere to be found again. Overall I'd consider this a worthwhile experience for those who are budget conscious. The variety of products is astounding and ever-changing, the staff is always courteous and the price is just right. I am very impressed.

Now the layout of the store is bizarre and their whole Kohls Cash, scratch offs at the register, multiple discounts for seemingly everything from showing up at the right day/time to parking in the correct spot seems more like playing three card monte in Times Square circa 1978 than a normal retail strategy but past the games the fact is simply that this place has really good prices and selection. The lovely wife was scoring more than Gary Busey outside the Santander Arena at 2am on Christmas Eve. Several items were marked down 70 or 80 percent along with a wide range of size and color choices. I mean we're talking actual wearable clothing for $3 or $4 dollars a piece and really good name brand sneakers that were $70 for $35. I was ready to gouge my eyes out with salad tongs at the thought of coming here but the lovely wife found what she wanted which makes her happy and she found it in what I thought was record time which makes me really freakin' happy so I felt that we were winning more than Charlie Sheen. At some point we'll be back, I'm sure.

I went to Ocean State Job Lot after a long day of cleaning my house. I wasn't dressed up--just in…read moremy cleaning clothes with my hair undone--but I was excited to pick up new curtains for my first floor and grabbed a few books for my kids, since I homeschool. I shop at this location often, sometimes even just to walk around and get a little "mom time," so it's usually a pleasant experience. This visit, however, was very different. At checkout, I handed the cashier my six curtain panels, which he counted and rang up. Since I planned to iron them before hanging, I just placed them back in my cart loosely. While I was paying, a team lead named Guy hovered around me, looked into my cart, and asked if my curtains were "okay" being tossed in that way. I told him they were fine, but instead of moving on, he took them out of my cart and recounted them--as if the cashier hadn't already done so. After carefully sorting them one by one, he even asked if there were eight, despite the transaction showing six. He was the one who miscounted, yet his behavior made me feel like I was being accused of stealing without him ever saying the words. I have never been treated like that in this store before. It was humiliating and frustrating to be singled out when I had done nothing wrong. I'll admit that as I walked out, I had a few choice words for him directly because I was so angry. The fact that he miscounted yet still insinuated I was trying to steal has me absolutely boiling. I was so upset I returned everything I had purchased and decided I will not shop here again. I will also be contacting corporate and the store manager about how I was treated. No customer should ever be made to feel like a thief when they are simply shopping and paying for their items.

I went to the KOP, the workers there were very sweet and called over to Pottstown to make sure they had the bag I was looking for. When I got there, I was rushed out by a young female worker and her co worker (male)... they knew I was coming and I drove an hour and hit some traffic but I still had 10 minutes to shop. I asked about the deal (spend 150 get a free tote). When I asked her if that applies to me she said I'm not a member (she put my phone number in wrong). Then said that they don't have the mesh bags (they were sitting behind her. I could tell that since both workers were young, they just wanted to go home. Not wait 5 minutes for me to pick something else out (my total was 144) . I'm very sad and disappointed, I don't live close to the outlets so when I drive that long (and they knew I was coming) I expected just to not be rushed out of the door. Took the time out of my day to come back and return the bag since I didn't even get a second to look at any others. This isn't how the world used to operate.. especially nice stores like this... I'm really upset with how I was treated and I was not mean AT ALL. She just didn't want to wait for me and clearly had somewhere to go (she called her male co worker up front to hint we need to leave ).. I'm not mean spirited, I never even write reviews, but I felt like I needed to share this. The younger the workers, the less care.
