Very neat, clean and organized. Service: The owner and her staff were very nice and engaging. Clothing: Omg! Sizes from petite to plus size. They have everything you would want from casual to formal. Jewelry to pocket books. Regular labels to designer labels. Coats, vest, furs, perfumes and shoes. Oh my! The furniture pieces are classic to unique. Houseware area very nice too. Good quality. The prices are very good! They also have Chic & Sassy boutique down the road. Overall, We enjoyed our first time here and will definitely be back. They have some designer bags that need a home. During a girls ' lunch in Wayne, I recently stumbled upon Neighborhood League Shops and discovered…read morethe treasures they sell and the opportunity to consign items you would like to sell. You've heard the saying, "One person's trash is another person's treasure." After refreshing and restyling my living and dining rooms, I found some less-loved items that someone else might enjoy. Knowing I planned another visit to the King of Prussia area, I brought my no longer loved items to the Neighborhood League Shops, a nonprofit in Wayne since 1912. This is my first time consigning. I learned that each drop-off is limited to 15 items, and no books are accepted. The ladies in the shop were very friendly. They explained the consignment process and accepted my two boxes containing less than 15 items. When shopping for preloved items, the quality and value of these older, well-made products are second to none. The Neighborhood League Shops offers an excellent selection of reasonably priced cut glass, crystal, sterling silver, etc.

She especially wanted to check out the Alley Door, which she described as more "eclectic " than the furniture and clothing stores. We first went into the housewares and furniture store. The main floor has lots of cut glass and fine china pieces, jewelry and some art. A few lamps. Not a large space. Laid out well and clean. I headed to their basement, which had more everyday "home decor" items, some linens, small electrics, etc. I saw many lovely things, though nothing interesting enough to purchase. We then headed over to the Alley Door, which is around the corner. Despite it being almost noon in weekday, and a sign stating they open at 10, the store was dark and locked. Huh? We walk back to where we were and ask about this. They know nothing, they said, just that the cash box had not been collected. That's it. I imagine these stores are run by volunteers, and it's a good cause. I'm not sure I would make a special trip to shop there. When I'm in the area, I'd go again.

We scored a pair of Lands End for $4 that were like new in his larger size. It was a great deal. The building itself looks like it could have been an old schoolhouse at one time with additions added. You walk in and up the steps to the sales floor which was decorated beautifully for the holiday. Overall the store is on the small side for a thrift store but they did have all the departments. Shoes were limited, as were clothing but they were also very selective in their sorting process. While I found the ladies section to be a bit dowdy, that's to be expected given the rural location and the majority of the residents belonging to the Plain community. The staff were friendly and helpful. The prices were low to fair for most items but I did feel like children's clothing was a tad high. Displays were impeccable. They even have a large craft/fabric section in the back, larger than most stores. Because they are a religious based organization their hours are limited and no Sunday sales. I'd recommend and will come back.

I do a lot of antiquing/thrifting and selling old drinking glasses for $10 is literally absurd considering most of them came free with a Happy Meals back in the day. I normally walk out of any given place with one or two things, but the prices on this stuff was a huge deterrent. If you've got money and don't mind, by all means, but I personally don't think you're going to find yourself a good deal at Quaker Antique Mall.
