The workers are readily available to assist customers with accessing hard to reach items and offer to bring purchases to the front of the store to be held for you. Everyone I encountered was friendly, pleasant and helpful. This is set up similar to an "Antique Mall" but is much nicer than that. There are many rooms and it's so much fun to explore. At first I figured I would only be window shopping because some of the prices knocked me off my feet. I am a bargain hunter and have access weekly to some pretty amazing finds at my local farmers market. I get things for very reasonable prices. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and found a tremendous gift for a friend. I highly recommend visiting The Swamp Door. You will enjoy walking down memory lane. There was plenty of parking on a Friday afternoon and the moment you enter this expansive shop, you know you are in for a tremendous treat. It is extremely well organized, with so many nooks and crannies, we needed a couple of hours to appreciate and soak in all of the wonderful memories this spacious store gifted to us! Vintage jewelry, lamps, books, vinyl / cd's, seasonal decor from days gone by, collectibles, military items, and so many more interesting, unique offerings ~ it would be impossible to list everything here. There are also beautiful works of art, greeting cards at one of the shop's entrances ~ they are stunning pieces if you are looking for a one-of-a-kind gift. This amazing shop is super clean, everything is displayed in such a lovely, caring way and the prices are very reasonable. The memories from some of the offerings for sale made this little trip priceless and the exceptionally pleasant lady who worked at the register sealed the deal for many return visits.

I found a hand signed and framed map of Egypt entitled "Treasures of the Nile". Shockingly it was only $5 bucks too, score! My girlfriend and I spent a total of two hours here and we both left with some purchases. They also had a pamphlet on the main counter by the register showing where over fifty antique stores are located in the Tri-State area. Through the the next door and it was more like a traditional antique mall with different booths and cases from what I assume are a variety of different dealers. They had a bargain section for used records too which is always nice in the event you don't want to spend much. Pricing for new and used records is pretty standard though some were higher than expected. The condition of everything I bought is really nice though so I guess you get what you pay for! I have to give it to them - as I was walking into the mall I realized in a flash of nostalgia that it is 2025 and I was going into a packed mall to go shop at a record store that was also crowded and busy. Not so at Forever Changes as they have a fairly priced, well curated selection from multiple genres, classic rock, jazz, blues, funk, alternative, punk and more. And on every visit, I always walk out with a lot of new vinyl. And the owner, Shawn, is super cool, friendly, and really knowledgeable about all genres. I…read morecollect a little of both and have purchased both from Jeff, who is just a great guy to deal with. Jeff will also buy and trade comics and records with you and always gives a fair price. It's a little bit of a drive to have to go to Knauertown (near St. Peter's Village), but definitely worth the trip.

The store has a variety of inventory, and thanks to their amazing organizing system, the records are easy to search through--you'll have no trouble finding exactly what you're looking for (and probably a few surprises you didn't know you needed!). Found this thrift shop while heading to Pottstown. At first glance it doesn't appear to be much but once inside you're transformed to a very nicely decorated and organized retail space - at least in the first few rooms. As you stroll thru the building the organization and display become less and less enticing into you reach the back which is literally like an unheated warehouse with stuff everywhere, somewhat organized. I did enjoy myself digging thru and discovering cool things but was deterred by the pricing which was more in line with an antique store than a thrift store. However quality for the most part (with the exception of those back rooms) was decent. In one of the rooms were handpainted portraits on large canvases, tons of them of different everyday, ordinary people. I enjoyed looking thru them to see if it was anyone I knew. Literally there was tons of them! Upstairs you'll find clothing and shoes, which felt like raiding a nursing home closet but not in a cool vintage way. Very matronly and not of current styles. Also clothing was very limited, probably primarily because of lack of space as the upstairs is a loft like area. There is a room for boutique items - with prices to match, only the brands were mall brands and nothing special. It is hard to maneuver in those rooms, and especially to social distance. I didn't feel comfortable up there at all. They did have some good stuff, but again nothing I was willing to pay that much for so I ultimately left empty handed. I will say this, don't let the run down, drab exterior fool you, if you're into the hunt like me this is one place you'll want to explore.
