This has been one of favorite locations since Sodo opened for accessories , kids clothing and work out clothes. Staff is always friendly and most of them know me by first name so it's really nice to shop but also catch up and get great service. I wish they had a larger selection of perfume and designer handbags but I have 2 others I can go too for those items . This location is conveniently located by the super target , flippers pizza , big Dave's cheesesteak and plenty other retailers. Value is great ! read more

TJ Maxx has been a staple in my list of shopping centers that I visit. While not every visit is successful because sometimes you have to catch when their latest shipments come in to really come out on top, you usually can leave with something. That something can range from clothing, accessories, home goods & decor, skincare, you name it. This particular location is usually not super busy and the staff is quite nice. The price points vary pending what you're looking for but for the most part you can get some note worthy brands at a steal. The quality of the items is also pretty good for the price points. I have never been so upset about service from this store. 80 w grant street Orlando. I made a purchase on the 17th of this month and long story short, the security tag was not taking off. I went tonight before 6pm to get the tag taking off, the African American lady who took care of me...looked at me as if I stole the product. She asked me for the tag of the product. I showed my receipt and card to show it was not stolen. Asked again for tag, no I wrapping presents so no tag. Crazy. I should have gotten her name. She act as if she was better than me and the treatment from her was repulsive. Very disappointed I know she took care of me at the jewelry section. Why African Americans have to treat their own kind like that. Not everyone is bad or steals. I do have a job, I shop in this store all the time, especially on my lunch. This is one of my favorite locations! Located in the sodo shopping center adjacent to target. Parking can be tricky but you can always use the target parking garage. This store is immaculate. I've never seen such an organized TJ Maxx. The employees are all friendly, busy cleaning and organizing. The manager was even on the sales floor cleaning herself. We barely waited in line because there is always an associate waiting. I can always find lots of name brands here for affordable prices. Love this store! read more

26/365 While I like this location overall the lack of close parking and general messiness bring it down a couple stars. They do have all the usual stuff and plenty of things to choose from since it's a decent size location. The home goods area is always a personal fave since I adore kitchen stuff. The seasonal items are also pretty good here. I'm having a Valentine's party and have found a few deco pieces here for good prices. The line setup is like it's sister stores and has one line feeding to multiple cashiers, which I think is brilliant and wish all stores had this method. Staff on the floor is pretty hit our miss as most of the staff is usual manning a register. You really don't need them though top find anything since the sections are pretty clearly defined. Overall: B Finding parking is difficult but they have all the regular stiff you expect! read more

This is a great location for everything BUT woman's clothes which stinks because I'm a woman lookin' for some clothes! I never fail to find a new bag or carry on or kitchenware or candle or knick-knacks for the house but I can never find anything I'd want to wear! I've found that in the women's section there are little to no well known brands and seem to be cheap boutique items instead. I could probably get better quality at one of Orlando's local boutiques instead for the same prices. It's quick and convenient when I'm looking for a cute, decently priced gift but not much else to offer here. read more

I went to T J Maxx accidentally today!! I had planned to go to Super Target at SODO and there was a parking space in front of T J Maxx, so I took it. When I parked, I thought, "Hmmm-I wonder if T J Maxx has what I'm looking for?". Well, they did. I needed a book for a nephew's birthday. They had the perfect board book called "Happy Birthday Mouse". My nephew is 2. While I was there I looked at some of the baby and toddler clothing (I also have 2 grandchildren). They had some really cute clothing, especially, baby girl swimsuits by Jessica Simpson. Of course, on the way out I found a really unique gift for my grandson's birthday and a really great metal organizer for my craft gel pens and accessories. I was quite surprised with the selection of items the store offers. High class items at low prices. I may have to go back again when I can take time to look a little closer. read more

This is one of the nicer TJ Maxx stores I have been to, for sure. Upon walking in, I noticed that the store seemed really clean and organized. With some stores like this, there is usually items misplaced or clothes on the floor, but not here. As someone going in to browse and not buy, I couldn't help myself when I saw a couple of items I "had to have." These were at the back of the store, which usually would have deterred me from a purchase since I didn't have a basket ... however ... some genius with a shopping design sense put a couple of cart stations in the back. Well, I had no excuse at that point so I bought a few things (a Buddha planter, a cat planter and lemongrass dog wipes ... see, just the "necessities.") The store was stocked well with kitchen items, pet items, some bedding/home goods however I had no luck in lady's clothing. To be fair, I wasn't hunting for anything so I could have been oblivious to some lucky "finds." I'm giving this store 4 stars as opposed to 5 because I did have an odd interaction with one of the staff there. My first encounter is when I was taking a photo of some beautiful, gourmet cooking pots/accessories. I was actually taking these for a friend who was shopping for these items. As I took the photo, one of the staff told me she did not want in my "selfie." Huh? I was pointing at the pots AND she was no where near the photo angle. I shrugged it off and went to another aisle. Well, she came down that aisle and walked in front of me like I had irritated her saying "I'm sorry, I have to get my work done ... I don't work in an office." Whaaaaaa? I hadn't said anything and I was just looking at planters. It was downright WEIRD. Again, I shrugged it off as it was just that odd and headed over to the pet area. Well low and behold, she came over to that area so I dodged her as I didn't want to get in her way! These interactions actually cut my shopping trip short since I wasn't sure what was happening and didn't feel like browsing any longer. So, 4 stars for the customer service weirdness ... other than that, I think this is a good TJ Maxx. Just be on the look out for the crazy lady. Ba ha ha ha! read more

I was thrilled when this location opened, finally a TJ Maxx near downtown! The SoDo shopping center architecture makes this location look bigger on the outside than it actually is, so walking in I was immediately a little disappointed. First I scoped out the clothes for the big girls. An OK selection, but definitely poorly marked. I'm still convinced I didn't find the whole area, because I ended up having better luck in the dressing room wrack (where people put their strays) than I did on the actual floor. Some good stuff, but alot of older, more 'mature' styles. So if you have hips, be prepared to search. The housewares dept wasn't too bad, particularly the clearance. Some good stuff there (a set of Libbey glass bowls, 4 for $7.50!) The shoe racks were a mess, and after having to search through the clothes, I was in no mood to try and find my size in a decent style. The dressing rooms were clean, and the store was practically dead so that was a plus! Parking... kinda spooky at night. It's well lit, but rather deserted. My fingers are crossed they work out the kinks and next time they'll be more of what I'm looking for. read more

I really like the Sodo plaza and the TJ Maxx is great component. It's in a really convenient location and always has some great items. This location in particular has a pretty solid pet section with very reasonably priced dog toys. Parking is kind of a pain. However, that goes for the whole plaza. You can park in the garage or in the side lot, but it's kind of far for us super lazy types. There are spots right in front if the store, but good luck getting one. They're always full. The store itself has a bit smaller of a selection than some locations. The food and miscellany sections are pretty small. They don't have much for furniture either. However, the clothing sections are of a sufficient size and I almost always find something cute. Overall, the store is clean, decently stocked, and generally not that busy. Without a doubt this is my favorite of all the TJ Maxx locations (there is a location in West Palm that is close second) and it can be attributed to 2 words. Skinny Mirrors. Yep the dressing room is set up very comfy and lavish and has Hollywood full mirrors with great lighting and I instantly look 10lbs skinnier in there. I don't even care if the outfit looks horrible after leaving which because for those blissful minutes in that mirror the cardio exercise finally pays off. Okay seriously the dressing rooms are really nice, they have a great location, good prices, and the actual inventory is the same as other TJ Maxx stores, but the store is very well kept. read more

I love TJ Maxx. This location is in the SODO shopping complex south of Downtown. Brand names for less money?! HECK YEAH! My hubby loves when I save money! I find that it is a hit or miss for items here though. I usually hit up the handbags first. They have a mix of no name brands and high end brands like Michael Kors, Dooney and Bourke, etc. There is usually a clearance section but by the time I check it is pretty picked over. Shoes are the same . I wear a 8 1/2 which seems to be a popular size. And the few times I find anything I like, there is always a wierd reason why I can't buy like the fact that one shoe is smaller than the other! So beware of that. I don't really have the patience to go through the racks of clothing but if you do, do so. May be some great deals to be had. I do love checking out the pet section . I have found brand names of treats for less than you would find elsewhere. Not to mention the selection of supplies, toys and dog beds. Heads up- this place can get packed with long lines around the holidays mainly Christmas and Easter. read more

Yesterday was my first visit to this new-ish store in the SODO district. And was I pleasantly surprised! As another reviewer noted, looks are deceptive -- the store *does* look larger from the outside than it does from the inside. But nonetheless, it's good shopping! Pricey name-brand hair products. Fragrant Italian soaps. Unique wine glasses. Oils, jams, and vinegars. Fun kitchen gadgets. Sexy nighties. And always -- shoes, shoes, shoes! THESE are the treasures I hunt for on my "Maxxinista" excursions. And this store has lots to entice. Plus, the light, bright, clean ambiance makes shopping at this location a pleasure. I have a love hate with stores like TJ Maxx, Ross, and Marshalls... I love the deals but hate the need to comb through everything to find it. There are no worries for that at this TJ Maxx location though. It is very organized, continuously updated, and a joy to shop in. I love the clothing section and am always able to find cute dresses or tops for work, along with casual clothes for the rest of my life too. Awesome home section as well- my husband and I have gotten several pieces from there that guests always think were very expensive. My only complaint would be the lack of shoes in smaller sizes. I wear a size 5 1/2 to 6 and there aren't usually a lot of choices. I have been able to snap up some cute yellow flats that are perfect for me to wear to work. I always stop here when I am in Sodo! read more
