I purposely made a visit to Miniso for Hello Kitty gifts. This was my first time stopping by and I was happy with their selection! They had so many cute gifts, not only Hello Kitty, but other Sanrio characters, Miffy, Peanuts, and Disney. Their prices seemed a bit on the higher end, but I was just pleased that I could even find these items and did purchase two plushes and a tote bag. My only reason for the four stars is because of customer service. I was not given eye contact, greeted, or asked if I needed help even though staff were walking around. At checkout at other retailers, I'm accustomed to being asked if I found everything I was looking for. This was not the case here. Would I recommend this business? Blind Box Heaven!! Miniso has so many cute selections and varieties of blind boxes. From Disney blind boxes to Star Wars blind boxes, there is something for everyone to choose from.The Miffy and Sanrio Character blind boxes are my absolute favorites, and I can never say no to buying one. If you are not careful, you can spend a lot of money here since blind boxes tend to range from $15- $30. The staff is incredibly kind and are always there if you need anything, and the blind box options tend to be displayed in the store so you know what they look like. Miniso not only has blind boxes but they also sell home goods, cosmetics, stationery items, and snacks. I just tend to visit the store for their blind box selections. This is a Chinese company with over 7,000 world wide locations and since they opened in Orlando I wanted to go see what all the "fuss" was about. This was not exactly what I had expected. Staff was pleasant and the store was well stocked, clean and organized. They care a large selection of licensed merchandise from Stitch, Snoopy, Harry Potter, Disney and Hello Kitty. The prices were about average what you might expect at a Target or even some of the independent souvenir shops in I drive. I guess the advantage might be that the mixed properties were all in one location and since some were Miniso branded they may be exclusive to just their store locations. read more

I love Daiso and Miniso. This Miniso had a great selection. It must be Care Bear season because they advertised a lot of it. Typically I like to check out Miniso for snoopy and random Disney stuff. Their snoppy stuff was tucked in the corner which was kind of a bummer for the poor pup. I didn't end up purchasing anything but I'll be sure to be back seasonally. Say I stop see what they had. I picked up a set of reusable flatware and the character that it has on it is cinnamon roll from the Sanrio series. I also picked up some barrettes because I have been needing some. I picked up a reusable pouch with snoopy on the front from the peanuts collection for two dollars, and then lastly I picked up a mystery minions mini figure the Christmas edition for $10. The gentleman always working at the front I feel like he's the only one working there he is so nice and so respectable. However they do not do gift receipts; I did get a gift for a friend but I just got a receipt because he said he doesn't know if they give them or not. To find mini so it is next to the Orange County Tax Collector and next to crazy hot buys off of Sandlake; it is in the strip right after the mall. read more

I was shopping a couple other stores in this mall and noticed this one so I had to stop in and see what they had. It's a pretty good size store and the company just opened a smaller one inside the FloridaMall. They have quite a bit of Anime related items and there is just so much to choose from. I found an entire section dedicated to Disney's Stitch. I had to restrain myself from buying all of it, but there are plenty of items, especially if you were looking for gifts for someone who is into Pop culture. I did find myself one Godzilla item, but I didn't get anything else on this visit. I will definitely be back in the future as inventory for these types of places gets updated regularly. Prices were right in line for what I expect to find on most of the items I looked at, and I spent a little bit of time talking with the one gentleman who is working in the store. This small but densely packed store is full of items from birthday party items to walls of stuffed animals, there are tons to see here. Located not far from the Florida mall on Sand Lake Road this shop is one of a franchise located throughout the world. Pricing can be cheap to $10 of a mystery small item. I have been going here constantly for new releases but the locations sometimes lacks items. They also are not up to date with what the store offers online. The staff aren't always the friendliest when I enter the store so I tend to mind my own business and try to find it myself. The prices for the items are decent. So if a 5 Below (dollar store) met a store with Asian aesthetic you would have Miniso. A lot of the products seemed to have the tech and clean lines associated with Japanese products. There is a variety of products from beauty to travel and even stuffed animals. There are definite deals to be had - 3 pairs of workout socks for $1.95 and a small wastebasket or counter top container for used k pods and coffee refuse for 2.95. I think my wastebasket resembled a bear. I purchased both of these items. They had a lot of items for 8.99 and a large assortment of stuffed animals. They offer a combo discount deal where you can pick an item from group a + group b + group c for a set amount. This was not really apparent to me so I had to ask for clarification. The staff is helpful and will quickly check you out with no lines. You have to pay a small amount for a shopping bag similar to shopping at discount grocery stores, so BYOB - Bring your own bag. Again they had a large assortment of travel items but also a wide range of categories to choose from like a dollar store. read more

I am extremely disappointed that the store's poor organization which led to me buying the wrong hat. I picked up a hat right after another person and didn't look at it because all of the same hats should be on the same hook, right? Apparently, wrong! I was so excited coming here because I wish they would open one in Houston, but alas I'm not entirely sure if or when that will ever happen. This was luckily only 15 minutes away from the hotel and I decided to take a pit stop here before dropping off the rental car. When I came in, I was immediately blessed with an abundance of "We Bare Bears" merchandise. There were so many plushies, make up products, and others of just "We Bare Bears" and I just could not resist. I ended up buying an Ice Bear shower scrub set and an Ice Bear make up brush. I already have so many plushes of Ice Bear, so I didn't get anything of the plush. I was very happy to come in and do some pleasure shopping and I still hope that they'll open more locations throughout the states. read more

I love this store! It is so cute and slightly bigger then the one they use to have in Altamonte Mall. The staff are so nice and friendly. And they a lot of stuff you don't find just anywhere. Coming back to review this place a year later and it has definitely improved! Their tiktok @miniso_orlando always updates with their latest stuff so I would definitely check that out and follow them! Every time I come in here the customers and employees are super sweet and it's always good vibes in the store! Their selection of Sanrio blind boxes and cute keychains are endless and they're always up to date with the latest trends (Barbie, Care Bears, Snoopy etc.). Some items are outdated such as phone cases only carrying for the older models or headphones that might not work for all phone plug types but that's not really a store issue. They also opened up another Miniso in Florida Mall which doesn't make sense because both locations are so close to each other and I wished they expanded somewhere near UCF or Mills but the Sandlake store is my favorite location since they offer a lot more items. They also have some Asian snacks and drinks which is fun to check out! They're starting to sell Sonny Angels and Smitskis now which I'm super excited for but it's still limited in stock :( However, this is one of my favorite places to splurge my money in Orlando so definitely would check it out! read more

First time going to Miniso and it definitely is a unique store. It reminds me of Daiso Japan but on a smaller scale. I went in hoping to find the Barbie collection but there was nothing. However, they did have some Sanrio items as well as miscellaneous plush toys, squish-mallows in different animals, electronics ranging from headphones to mini speakers, as well as various organizers and baskets to name a few. In terms of pricing, it's mostly affordable but Sanrio items can be more than $10. In terms of customer service, it's kind of non-existent. Don't expect to be greeted when you walk in. The store itself is a bit cramped with small aisles. I personally think Daiso is much better! One thing to note- if you buy an item, they will ask you if you need a bag. I said yes and there is a 25 cent charge. Not a big deal but it would have been nice if the employee actually told customers that there is a small charge for a bag. I personally wouldn't go out of my way to come here as I could find many of the items in Amazon for cheaper. read more

Very very cute... but a little disappointed What did I get I got some cotton swabs and pads and also a pen! There definitely are a bunch of little knick knacks that are relatively cheap and seem of quality. It is definitely a lot of different finds. There are many speakers, battery chargers and random stuff. Environment This is in the plaza that's next to the Florida Mall. The interior is very neat and tidy. A new store that contains "kawaii/ かわいい" items that would make for nice gifts, but I was less than thrilled about my shopping experience. While I will get into details about that later, Miniso is like a UNIQLO meets Ikea. You won't find many home goods, but they have things from eyelashes/makeup bags and minimalistic-designed electronic accessories. DISCLAIMER, please read: Items are designed in Japan, but if you read the packaging, it's actually made in China. So don't let the false advertising fool you that you're getting items from Japan. In fact, you're getting what's called "Japan-aesthetic" items, similar to DaisoJapan stores in California. Even though co-founded by one, do your research and read articles on the company, you'll know what I mean. This is a great example of what is called "foreign branding." The most Japanese made items I've ever seen in any American space was Muji (great, quality items!) I'm just looking out for you and your $$$! Finally, I didn't like the customer service from the managers in this place. I had a basket full of items that depleted down to 1 item I painfully got for my sister that she really wanted. The manager/owner (he was not wearing a name tag), was at the cash register and did not once acknowledge me the entire time I was at the store. He didn't even call for anyone to assist me purchase my items. He saw someone else walk in, and was talking over my head welcoming them in, completely ignoring me. If you ever been to daiso, miniso is similar but in my opinion, even better! It's a small shop with cute little Asian products. Things you probably don't need but it's so cute, you can't resist. There's stuffed animals everywhere, a lot of bare bear, adventure time, marvel items. They have stationary, toiletries, travel items, makeup, office, kitchen stuff. Everything less than $10-15 and there's deals if you buy multiple of certain stuff. The store is very clean and organized and the employee working was friendly and helpful if you have questions. I spent a little bit too much time in here because there's so many things to look at. I was being disciplined otherwise I'm sure you can spend a lot of money here. I only spent $20 and came out with 3 pens, a stuffed bear, a water bottle, some stationary paper and was given a box of disposable mask for spending over $15. Everything here is perfect for gifts! This store is literally the cutest I've been in. It's insanely affordable (prices ranging from 95¢ to $10 for the majority of items), and it is the perfect place to find gifts for friends and especially kids without braking the bank.
