Totally unorganized Waited in line for 15 minutes. Staff came out and said 5 more minutes as they are complying with CDC regulations. Ok cool totally understandable. Ok tick tock 20 minutes go by as we counted 20 people come out and Zero go in. Staff comes back out and said it will be another 15-20 minutes. No thank you. We have patience but almost an hour in line , what a disappointment. read more

I went to TJ Maxx looking for some work clothes. I'm a full-time teller worker and will be traveling to my office in Maryland soon and was in desperate need of a wardrobe update. I found way more than I planned. I tried on 19 pieces of cloths lol;) I purchased several fall tops, cute and comfi ankle boots, a soft cream-colored sweater, New Balance running shoes, socks and activewear! I also found several hair care products such as shampoo and styling cream. This location was totally stocked with fall and winter gear. There were even some Halloween t-shirts and leggings. The store was organized and easy to navigate. I typically purchase items from the clearance section. However on this trip I only purchased a few clearance items and the rest was regular price. My check out wait was less than five minutes and the cashier was super friendly. I'll be stopping by this location more often! read more

I foolishly walked in and didn't grab a cart. What was I thinking? I have a list of things I am searching for- for the house and I honestly don't remember the last time I was in a TJ Maxx. I made a beeline for the furniture section and was pretty disappointed- prices were higher than I would expect- especially since there is another "Goods" store at the end of this plaza. I also checked out their shoe department- a bust. And made my way up and down the home décor aisles. Including the pet aisle where I found a sturdy cat scratching post for $16! Mine!- watching me try to pull it down off the top shelf should have been recorded for others to laugh at! I had already found a canister and had that, my phone (no pockets in my outfit) and my wallet all in my right hand/arm & was reaching up with my left hand to tip the small cat tree off the top shelf. And I do mean tip- I caught it as it fell! Little miss- I don't need a cart, now had a mini cat tree hugging around my hip/waist while still having my right hand full and holding that ceramic canister against my body. I made my way to the front refusing to even look at anything else- because I simply couldn't juggle anything else and the line was stupid long! They had constructed walls between registers on the customer side of the counter and I was wondering how you could see which register was open- but when I got to the front they had a tv announcing the next open register- except they weren't always using it! I was hollered at to come to the open register- ooohhhh-kay. I enjoyed the store- some things were over priced and some were fair and some were steals- not that different than most stores. Checkout was super slow. And I learned to never go in again without grabbing a cart! read more

TJ Maxx is a discount department store that sells apparel, home goods, accessories, etc. I prefer it much more than their sister company, Marshalls. I rarely ever end up buying any apparel for myself, and although the kids apparel selection is smaller, sometimes I can find some cute items for my youngest. Even though they're a discount store, TJ Maxx does carry some designer brands so it doesn't necessarily mean that the prices are low. My favorite part of the store is the home goods section. Although their other sister company, HomeGoods, has a much larger section, I feel like the items here are marked at a better price point. They rotate their products often, so if you find something you like, don't wait because it may not be there the next time you go. This also means that every shopping trip won't be the same since they's usually something new to check out. The cashiers are usually pretty friendly and the return process has been easy. So far I haven't had any issues with their service. read more

I love this store but every time I come no matter the time of day the line is all the way across the store to check out and the managers are standing around talking and not helping employees check out. Highly understaffed and no sense of urgency to help customers. read more

DON'T SHOP AT THIS TJ MAXX! I purchased a pair of Kenneth Cole sandals and within 3 weeks the glue that holds the straps came completely unglued. My first attempt to exchange them went unsuccessful due to not having my receipt, my bad... So I retrieved my receipt and hattempted to exchange my sandals, only to be turned down. The store manager L. Zambrana told me that she would not return or exchange the item cause I had worn the product. I asked if they stood behind their products and manufacturing defects and she informed me they do not. Why didn't she tell me that the first time I attempted to exchange my sandals and what good business doesn't stand behind the products they sell!?! read more

I've never gone in to clothing shop in TJ Maxx. It just doesn't interest me that much anymore. What does interest me is shopping for everything else hahaha. Once in awhile I'll find a nice purse, hat, or skincare products, but the best of the best finds are in the back in the homegoods section. I think my mother and I spent a good 30 minutes back there shuffling through all the shelves looking for bargains, because you never know what you'll find in there. Some aisles and shelves were organized while others looked like they just threw the items around. We both did walk out of there with a few things. I do like the checkout queuing system that they have that tells you what register to go to and the cashiers are friendly. read more

Man am I a sucker for a good deal! The fact that this TJ is so close to where i work is dangerous. I find some great pieces in here when I have the time. This store is a little smaller than most so the selection is more limited as well. I would like to see a bit more clothing geared towards the young adult women segment. Worst customer service for the 2nd time. l love TJMaxx, l guess l will just have to find another one to go to. I think they sterio blacks, and their deliverance make me feel they are being defensive in case me "black female" might have an attitude or act ignorant and become belligerent. All blacks are not that way and I feel some type of way when l go there. l was actually carrying a table and some other things and no one asked if they could assist me as they continue to work. disappointed read more

I love shopping at TJ Maxx Atlantic Blvd. store. The store is very clean, organized,easy to find any items I'm searching for, This store also keep their skincare products neat and organized with the best prices. I love candles. They have a vast variety of every scent and color at a fraction of Dept. Stores. I'm so glad it's ten minutes from my home. The cashiers are all very friendly and the lines go very fast. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS MAXX LOCATION!!!! The store looks like it is going out of business; the merchandise is sparse and "contemporary" items look like they are on a garage sale rack. Not to mention the clerks and check out staff are totally unprofessional. They would rather spend time talking about what their Saturday night was composed of, then waiting on their customers. I ran into TJ Maxx with the hopes of finding a last minute shirt to wear to a luncheon but not really expecting to be successful considering most "discount" store tend to be unorganized and disheveled but I was rather surprised when I not only found what I wanted right away but also a few other items that I hadn't anticipated. I love when you can find what you need for a fraction of the price, but considering the fact that I'm not a huge shopper I love it even more when I can run and run out and still feel satisfied with my purchases. read more

Worse experience at a retail store! Purchased a luggaged for a trip. While there the zipper broke I had to use safety pins to come back home!!!. As soon as I got back I went back in tj maxx get a refund or exchage. But the so called manager Maria refused because luggaged was damaged! No duh, thats why im returning. Less then 8 days of purchased date w receipts and tags (not on it ofcourse) why would i pay $69 for a damaged good? If they know their items are not to standands then they shouldnt sell them! Now im stuck with a broken luggage that i only used once and paid $70 for it. Never going back! Horrible customer service! I just needed a new one with a working zipper! read more
