This location is be the best one between Gainesville and in orlando ! I walked in to a dream is what it felt like as this store was huge and full of great items from fragrance to clothing to couches and bar stools ! I walked every aisle and almost had 3 carts full of items ( no judgement zone lol ) Top brands in clothing , skin care and luggage with such good prices. The only section that wasn't great were the bath items as I found no sand & fog lotions , scrubs , or oils which was so disappointing. The staff were so nice and the store was the most organized I've ever seen at a TJM. I will be back for sure and bringing my besties lol !!!! read more

Food is Sonny faithful. Good, hot, decently priced. Service was fast and friendly. My ONLY complaint is that the restaurant was noticeably neat and clean while the bathroom was filthy. It was like stepping into a bathroom that belonged to a different restaurant. Nasty! read more

So I just recently got into TJ Maxx/Homegoods. For years I'd stop in one now and then for things like socks but never thought of them beyond men's clothing. I actually was not aware how extensive the Homegoods part of it is, I just thought the lion's share of the store was women's fashion. I was wrong. If you venture back past all the pretty floral math teacher dresses, they have a ton of small furnishings, lamps, frames, candles, and stuff for the kitchen. Oh, do they ever have things for the kitchen. I'm really into baking so I've been coming here to get baking pans and such and finding overall better prices and better quality than Target or elsewhere--not that Target is bad per se, but sometimes if you look you can find really high-quality stuff at great prices here. They also carry the Torani coffee syrups which I love and yes, all I've seen are well within their expiry dates--not like this is left over and discounted because it will go bad next month, most have expirations of mid 2027. And they're half the price they'd be from Amazon, too. But it's really the selection of pots, pans, and bakeware which has grabbed my attention. I would encourage everyone to check it out if furnishing a home or kitchen. The staff at check-out are always very friendly too, only downside at all is everything is in a bit of a jumble and others customers--unlike the staff--may rudely run right over you trying to get to a new frame for photos of their dog (this happened: I was in the way between Karen and a frame that said "Bow-wow!" on it and Karen wasn't happy). read more

I love Home Goods so this review is for the TJ Maxx HomeGoods store eventhough it just says TJ Maxx. This store is big and clean and organized and well staffed. I totally appreciate that. While I was in there I fell in love with a gorgeous emerald green sofa. When I went back the next day, it was gone! But I talked to two employees that were super helpful in answering questions about delivery. I'll be back! read more

I have been a Ross/Marshalls/TJ Maxx junkie since I was in my tweens (God how I hate using that word). This TJ Maxx FAR outdoes any other discount merchandise store I've ever been to. It is clean, large, and well-stocked. And stocked with the good stuff too. I almost feel like it is better quality than the department stores, but for 1/2 the price. When I need good quality clothes, I go here. When I need to buy Christmas gifts, I go here. When I need kitchen knives, I go here. I bough 2 dress pants and 2 work shirts for under $60. I really love this store. I always find something here that just makes me want to spend money I don't have. Crafty elves... If you haven't been here yet and like saving money, you're missing out. This is a great TJ Maxx with a HUGE selection. Probably the largest I've ever seen but I've never been to a "Home Goods" one before like this one was. Sale prices are unbeatable, the staff was great and I had a great shopping experience with my mom looking at their wide selection of baby clothes. My mom was able to find some of the cutest dresses ever for Spring and they had great bathing suits too. I really enjoyed it and would love to have this place closer to me so I could go all the time! read more

I love TJMaxx. I don't know where to begin. Personally, I like this TJMaxx because not only is it close to home it's always been my afternoon pick me up, browsing through the aisles and going "treasure hunting". The store is usually rearranged every couple of weeks to display new items for the season and the staff is very friendly. They have helped me numerous times when it came to finding certain items or giving me an opinion. The store is up to date with fashion trends and usually offer better prices than stores in the mall. Recently, they have increased their clothing clearance racks which is a plus. Try to go during Wednesday's because that's usually when they get a new shipment in. Also word of advice, if you see something you like, snatch it up immediately. TJMaxx offers the best deal on designer brands, many locals frequent the store and get the good stuff. I remember there was a whole wall of Lily Pulitzer home decor and 2 old ladies bought everything on the wall within hours! The only con to this store is the location. It is located towards the suburban area of Gainesville. I wish it was closer to campus so students could have more options instead of just the mall and Ross. read more

I love TJ Maxx Home Goods but was very disappointed this evening. We planned on stopping after dinner for some Christmas shopping. The store hours show they close at 10:00pm on Google. We came at 9:30pm knowing we only had 30 minutes to shop, which was no issue for us. The manager was at the doors and said we're closed. I said store hours show until 10pm and he said, "No ma'am, we closed at 9:10pm." Who closes at 9:10pm exactly? sounds like someone just wanted to go home early. Either update your store hours on Google or respect them. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Makes me want to spend my money elsewhere. read more

For those of you who haven't been to TJ Maxx in a while, they moved a few units down to the old Media Play. So now their store is HUGE! I love looking at all their furniture & housewares stuff. They store if very organized, staff is friendly and helpful. The only thing I have to say is that the prices at other stores like Ross are quite a bit lower, but TJ Maxx does have some higher end stuff. read more

The TJ Maxx in Gainesville isn't the nicest or the worst I've been to. Since they added in the Home Goods section it's definitely gotten better. It's a great place to get name brand bedding and nice towels. However, I wish we had a separate Home Goods store since TJ Maxx can be so junky and overcrowded. read more

Clothes, Shoes, Bed, Bath, kitchen stuff and more for a discounts price. Definitely a store to check out before you go to the bigger brand name stores to see if they have what you want for a cheaper price. Stores like Macy's usually jack up the price on items anyways so why not pay less for probably equally good stuff. This TJMaxx has a Home Goods too which we definitely took advantage of when we first moved to Gainesville. They have some nice art pieces to hang up around the house/apartment too. read more

This is the absolute worst TJ Maxx I have ever been to, and it's a shame because it's one of my favorite stores, but I will no longer be shopping at any TJ Maxx just because of this location. A few months ago, I needed a certain kind of shirt for my outfit for a job interview. I was so excited to find the perfect one at TJ Maxx, but I noticed it had a stain on it. From my previous experience at other locations, I thought it would be no problem because they generally have great customer service. All I was looking for was maybe 10% off to account for the time I would be spending trying to get the stain out. The manager and cashier were very rude about it and said there was basically nothing they could do, which I know is not true because I work in retail myself and know that making the customer happy is the #1 goal. If you have no customers, you have no business. Apparently TJ Maxx doesn't understand that. So I became skeptical of the store but decided to give it another try today, as I was looking for a Michael Kors wallet for my mom for Mothers Day to match the purse I got her. Again, super excited that I found the exact wallet I needed, but I realized there were 2 of them and one was $70 and the other was $80. I bring them both up to the counter and ask why the price is different. The cashier acknowledges that they are exactly the same wallet, and even looks them up in the computer and tells me that one of them was marked wrong. So he called his supervisor over and she says that the prices are different because they came from two different vendors. Firstly, how could she know that without even looking them up, and secondly, how is that my problem? You can't charge two different prices for the exact same thing, that's called price discrimination. The only reason I wanted the one that was marked as $80 was because the zipper still had tissue paper wrapped around it so I thought that one would be a nicer gift for my mom. They refused to honor the $70 price and I let them know that I will never be shopping there again. I hope 10% off a stained shirt and $10 off a mismarked wallet were worth losing my lifetime customer value, as well as the lifetime customer value of all my friends that will no longer be shopping there either. read more
