This store is huge! They have separate sections for home, women's clothes, men's clothes which seem to go on forever. It's bi-level, and the selections are varied enough that you'll see something you like every time you go in. I was impressed by their beauty section which included make-up, tools, cleansers, false lashes, nail polishes, and accessories. I'll figure out how to use some stuff and go back to get them there! The lines can move somewhat slowly, with the cashiers moving at their own pace. it's not terrible like some other places, but don't go on a lunch break if you have to be clock in at a certain time. Otherwise, nice place to shop. read more

This TJ Maxx is the largest I've ever seen, but it feels a bit disorganized (I guess they all do, eh?). They have a huge selection for women, including a nice accessories department. They also have a nice size mens and children's department. My favorite part of this TJ Maxx is definitely the homegoods selection, though -- it's huge! read more

I have to admit I never been to a TJMax before this visit and I always thought it was just a clothing store. I was impressed by the variety and organization of this place. It was very neat and clean. It was definitely a more discount department store but without so much of a hole in the wall feel to it. The crowd is definitely more of those rowdy deal finders! But I'm definitely going back, especially with Christmas around the corner! read more

I found the perfect pair of shoes at a discounted price !it's a great store with great employees and very clean

If you are a northwestern student this store is super handy for the "oh crap I need [insert previously unneeded but now imperative item here]." The store is well stocked, has decent clothes/shoes/beauty section. The houseware section is where it's at. read more

Had manufacture coupons manger said she won't take them was good coupon expire in dec. 2019 very bad attitude will NEVER shop at T JMAXX EVER AGAIN AND IM VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE don't care about the customer !!!!!!!! read more

This is a huge T J Maxx location. They have lots of different items here, from housewares to fine jewelery. This store can be quite disorganized, but if you take time to actually go through the shelves and racks, you will not be disappointed. They have lots of designer items at not-so-designer prices. And they're always getting new things in so there's always something new to look forward too! read more

Never been to a TJ Maxx this big before! Even the Michigan Ave location is smaller than this one. The 'Runway' selection wasn't as diverse as I'd like to be and they could definitely do with an update on brands. However, Kate Spade, Tory Burch and Vince are a good fit for the area. read more

What's not to love? Great staff and huuuge selection at amazing prices. This is not Macy's or Nordstrom's so don't compare. (I shop at both.) It's a joy to walk around on my days off to see what treasures I find. read more

This place has an UNBELIEVABLE ASSORTMENT OF THINGS COMPARED TO OTHER TJ STORE'S. AFFLICTION, ED HARDY AND MORE

Very impressed. Found each & every item on my list & because it was right after the holiday, every item was reduced significantly. This stand alone store (versus strip mall style) has TWO entrances. The house wares section was well stocked, neat & organized. The clothing, accessories, shoes & womens clothing areas was chock full of designer brands. The fitting room was super modern & the check out lanes were lined with last minute bag stuffers. I had a great time shopping here & will definitely come again. read more

I used to always come to this TJ Maxx but I stope coming for a while and I stopped by today to check it out but I don't think I will be coming back anymore. One of the employees I didn't catch HIS name was yelling at the customer telling them to leave. I understand it was closing time but do they not want to make one more sale? I don't understand why yell at the customers. Instead of telling the customers to leave why don't they close the door at the closing time and wait till the customers in the store leave. We can hear the speaker telling us to go to the register we don't need another person directly yelling at us. He was rude, I left everything because I don't want to buy from a place that doesn't treat their customers right. read more

To shop here for clothes I wouldn't, but for random home furnishing? This place is insane. My boyfriend has been searching around for a leather jacket for a while and on a whim we decided to check out TJ Maxx. Apparently they have leather jackets but they didn't when we were there. It all is apparently dependant on what they get on shipment days. Their clothing department isn't that huge but there's still a decent selection, it's not a comfortable atmosphere though. Very white and bright. The whole store is like a big sale, prices are pretty low. If you're looking for vases with fake flowers or plates, teapots, rugs, towels, figurines, or anything of the sort you'll probably find something here. And if you're not looking particularly you will have a blast looking around down the ailes anyways. I was so surprised when I came in here, I was expecting a real junker of a store honestly. Thank goodness I was proven wrong! read more

Great store, they have great offers especially for holidays and the employees are very generous , I fully recommend it read more

TJ Maxx - Holiday offers - Department Stores Near Me - Evanston, Illinois

I have been shopping at this TJ Maxx for almost 15 years and the merchandise gets better and better. Sure the store is a mess. but who cares when you can find high end designer clothes for up to 80% off? This location has the RUNWAY section filled with top designer merchandise. I have found Robert Rodriguez, 7 For All Mankind, Nanette Lepore, BCBG, Cole Haan, French Connection, etc. Wading through a sea of disorganized merchandise is worth the discounted prices to me. If you want neat and clean, go to Old Orchard and pay full price. read more

I Love this store like any women! Fear price ,amazing products and great return policy!

The best TJ Maxx around. The merchandise is good quality, especially the Runway department. The jewelry selection is high quality and do not miss the make up , hair, body products area. Men's department is very good too. The employees are friendly and helpful. read more

I had a really bad expierence during a return. Many of the products in the store have toxic metals/plastic. One should be very careful. I purchased a pan, used it once and left it in the sink to soak. The pan had a lot of rust on it next day. Not something you want to use for cooking, right? In fact, as I found out later it is regulated by government and it's illigual to sell toxic items. Ok, I went to give it back the same day. A Mexican woman (most of the cashiers are from Russian, and I don't know her name) is a superviser at that store. She told me that I used the pan for several months and not just one day. Basically calling me a lyer. I was repeting to her several times, that the money are not an issue for me, since I am a professor, and I just want to make sure that you don't sell this things anylonger. I was heavily abused. When I told her that I need to talk to the manager, she said that I have hurt her feelings by telling my salary. I never told her the numbers, I just told her that I have a high salary and don't have a financial need to lie to her. In any case she did not call the manager telling me they are on the meeting. She did not accept my other items telling me that they don't have them in the system. I went to another store, and was able to return them. In a few weeks I was returning a coffee press for exactly the same reason. Plastic gave a strong smell and this is something I don't want to deal with in my food. A girl made a return, I already had a store credit card in hand. Then the Mexican lady recognized me from another end of the store jumped on me saying that next time they will not accept returns. I went to another part of the store and called the phone to talk to a manager who eventually showed up and we had a conversation I don't know what he will do with this information, likely nothing. I am so upset that people can harass others and not being broght for a response for their actions. This lady is not suitable for this profession. It's a customer survise. I've spent a lot of money in this store, over 1k, when I was decorating a home. Now I feel uncomfortable to check out with cashier there, since she is around and will jump on me for sure. Why so much hate? Is it because she thinks that the costumers at this store have higher income and afford more then her? I do a lot of charity helping people like her to get an education. I teach for free school students from south side. I contribute a lot to the community, and what do I see back? Zero respect, and abuse. read more

I can't say enough great things about this particular location. Love the size of the staff, the pleasant staff, the variety of merchandise and the overall atmosphere of the place. I am happy when I am there. I would also like to give a shout out to their amazing manager, Mr. Joe I.. To say that he went above and beyond is truly an understatement. This manager helped me for almost two hours and at no point did he ever make me feel uncomfortable, demanding, or like a pest. He just kept helping me every time I'd ask. My go to store....I really do love it. THANK YOU Mr. I. read more

Oh my goodness I can't even keep this to myself. I used to like this store, but this morning was ridiculous. Yes, Thursday at 10am- shouldn't be too crazy, right? Well the employees sure were! I can even make this stuff up. First, there are two employees YELLING across the entire store to one another (really? No walking?). I go to fitting room, and try to make friendly conversation with the woman there, which worked- because she then proceeded to tell me about thing every customer has ever done to upset her, as this suddenly morphed into creole or something I could not understand...while I'm trying on clothes I overhear a customer approach asking for the manager because the lady in jewelry called her "large"...I'm in the food aisle and there is a man literally throwing glass containers onto the shelves, and smashing bags of chips. I think his job is "the chip crumbler" and that's all, for real....that place is literally an insane asylum and not somewhere I ever want to return to relax and shop on my day off!! So much nonsense. read more
